Cyclist taken to hospital after being struck by vehicle near High Park
A cyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle near High Park Wednesday night.
Toronto police say a call for a collision near The Queensway and Colborne Lodge Drive came in shortly before 8 p.m.
The cyclist, a 19-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the driver remained at the scene. The circumstances that led to the collision are unknown.

Ontario Provincial Police say a member of the public called to report a woman smashed the window of a vehicle, threatened to kill bystanders and attempted to abduct a 12-year-old youth attending a soccer game. 'A parent attending the game intervened and the child was safely removed from the situation prior to the involved person fleeing on foot,' police said in a statement. 'The accused, known to police, was located nearby and arrested.' The accused is charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of mischief, one count each of uttering threats to cause death and abduction of a person under 14, and eight counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

(Ontario Provincial Police/Facebook) A 25-year-old Sudbury driver faces multiple charges after failing to stop for Ontario Provincial Police during a high-speed incident on Highway 17 in West Nipissing this week. Authorities said OPP attempted to pull over a vehicle on Aug. 5, after it was clocked travelling over the posted 50 km/h speed limit in the area. 'The vehicle failed to stop for police when emergency lights were activated and continued driving west,' OPP said in a social media post. The suspect was later located and stopped in Markstay-Warren. OPP Const. Rob Lewis, in an email to CTV News, confirmed that the vehicle was travelling 100 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. As a result of the incident, the driver, who holds a Class G1 licence, was charged with stunt driving, failing to stop for emergency vehicles and operating a vehicle without a qualified accompanying driver. In addition to the charges, the accused received a 30-day driver's licence suspension and the vehicle involved was impounded for 14 days 'at the cost of the owner.' Police to provide update on death of international student struck by stray bullet in Hamilton
Hamilton police identified 21-year-old Harsimrat Randhawa as the victim who died in a shooting on April 17. (Hamilton Police Service) Police will be providing an update this morning on the death of a 21-year-old international student who was struck by a stray bullet in Hamilton last spring. Harsimrat Randhawa was shot and killed on Upper James Street in Hamilton on April 17. Police previously said the international student from India was studying at Mohawk College and was shot while waiting for a bus. Investigators said the woman was an innocent bystander and was shot by suspects who were inside a vehicle.
