Ashley Judd Sends Powerful Message On Aging With Bold New Trend — And It's So Liberating

Ashley Judd is done caring.
The 'Double Jeopardy' actor shared a liberating video on Instagram last week, in which she spoke about being a member of the 'We Do Not Care' club.
The viral club was started by influencer Melani Sanders, whom Judd credited in her post. Sanders regularly shares videos on social media that highlight what women experiencing menopause or perimenopause no longer care about.
'Hi, I'm Ashley, and I'm a member of the We Don't Care Club,' the actor said, while wearing a swimsuit in the Baltic Sea.
Judd began to rattle off some of the things she didn't care about ― such as 'picking my crotch' in the video and sharing some anti-chafing tricks for wearing a swimsuit.
She also showed off various moves in the water, 'because when we were little, it was really fun, and we don't care what people think of us.'
She also said she'd come up with something called the 'Make Stuff Up Club,' telling followers that as a 'postmenopausal woman, I don't care if you don't like the MSU Club.'
In her Instagram caption, Judd said menopause, from the 'peri - post' stage, is 'human biology.'
'It is universal to females & global. What can be a hope of We Don't Care Club? What will I, with my freedom & mirth, when I let go of caring about stupid, controlling norms about my female body, be free to enJOY?
Sanders responded to Judd's post in the comments.
'Hey my WDNC Sister. Oh how I wish I could have joined you! The beach is my love language,' she wrote, adding 'This video has made my day!!'
Judd first shouted out Sander's new 'club' in June and shared a little bit about her own experience with menopause in the caption.
'Post-menopausal since 2018 — and super comfortable with that,' she wrote at the time. 'I am rejoicing in @justbeingmelani un muzzling of peri/post/menopausal expression and her inviting in all kinds of women to liberate their 'I don't cares!' We are enough, we do enough, it is enough. It is okay, we are okay.'

Tom Brady On Prioritizing Football During Gisele Bündchen Marriage

During the last few years of Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady's marriage, there was a lot of chatter about how Tom was splitting his time between football and family. In a 2018 docuseries about Tom's career, Gisele expressed disappointment that her then-husband opted to continue playing football beyond 2016 after previously saying he'd retire. For context, Tom and Gisele share two children, Vivian and Benjamin, who are now aged 15 and 12. He also has a 17-year-old son, Jack, from a previous relationship. 'When I met him in 2006, he said, 'Listen, I'm just gonna play for 10 more years, I'm gonna win one Super Bowl, and I'm gonna be happy,'' Gisele recalled. 'I told him last year [in 2016], 'I think this is great, what a great win. Now you've won two Super Bowls, it's the end of the tenth year.' And I was like, 'Woohoo, let's go! I'm ready!' But then he's like, 'No.'' 'Football, as far as I'm concerned, is his first love. I think it's his main love, really quite frankly,' she added, saying in a subsequent confessional: 'It's about priorities. What are the priorities?' At long last, the quarterback announced his retirement in February 2022, and Gisele was among those to publicly celebrate the milestone. Then, just 40 days later, he backtracked and revealed that he wasn't ready to give up football after all. Reports at the time claimed that Gisele 'wasn't thrilled' by Tom's unretirement, and in May 2022, the supermodel seemed to suggest as much during an interview with British Vogue, in which she said: 'I don't think relationships just happen; it's never the fairy tale people want to believe it is. His focus is on his career, mine is mostly on the kids.' So, when Tom and Gisele divorced in October 2022 — just a few weeks after his 23rd NFL season kicked off — it was widely speculated that his unrelenting focus on football was the catalyst for the split. For what it's worth, Gisele later denied this was the case, telling Vanity Fair in March 2023: 'I have always cheered for him, and I would continue forever. If there's one person I want to be the happiest in the world, it's him, believe me. I want him to achieve and to conquer. I want all his dreams to come true.' As we now know, Tom's 23rd season wound up being his last, as he officially retired (again) in February 2023. If you follow Tom on Instagram, you'll see he spends a lot of his time with his three kids. Although, he's also talked openly about his past failings as a dad, saying at an event in 2024: 'I've screwed up a lot as a parent.' After saying that being "a parent is probably the hardest job all of us have," Tom talked about wanting to be "dependable and consistent" for his children. Now, the 47-year-old has opened up about parenting again — this time, seemingly defending his decision to prioritize football while his kids were young. In the July 29 edition of his 199 newsletter, Tom pondered the balance between 'personal satisfaction and professional achievement,' writing: 'I think part of being a great father is being a great example of doing what it takes to take care of your family. I chose to do it by playing football.' 'My dedication to the sport, the hours of practice, the moments when I was laser focused—those were times when I believe I was doing the best possible thing for my family and my kids,' he wrote. 'By prioritizing my profession and teaching, by example, what it takes to be really good at your job, what it takes to follow through on commitments, what it takes to be a great teammate; and showing them, also by example, that work is a big part of all of our lives.' Reminding readers that your children 'see what you do in every aspect of your life and how you do it,' Tom highlighted that 'reading bedtime stories and helping them with homework are not the only ways to be a great parent.' 'And neither is winning Super Bowls or MVP,' he added. 'Being a great football player didn't make me a great dad, but how I became a great player certainly had an impact—from showing up day in and day out, to doing whatever it took to get better, be successful, be a role model, and to provide.' He makes some valid I do have to wonder what Gisele would have to say about it all. LMK your thoughts in the comments!

Oprah Winfrey accused of closing her private Hawaii road during Tsunami evacuation

Oprah Winfrey's rep is shutting down rumors. A spokesperson for the philanthropist, 71, denied accusations that she kept the private road that runs through her estate in Maui closed as locals tried to escape following a Hawaii tsunami warning. 'As soon as we heard the tsunami warnings, we contacted local law enforcement and FEMA to ensure the road was opened,' Winfrey's spokesperson told People on Wednesday. 'Any other reports are otherwise false.' 9 Oprah Winfrey in New York City. The Maui Police Department confirmed Winfrey's cooperation as well, writing in a statement, 'Oprah's road is open to get Upcountry.' 9 An aerial view of Oprah Winfrey's Maui home. © New York Post The Hawaiian island is also home to Woody Harrelson, Jeff Bezos and Owen Wilson. AP According to CNN, another tsunami wave, over 5-feet high, was recorded in Kahului, while a 4.5-foot wave hit Hilo in Hawaii County. Residents in Hawaii, Japan, and parts of the California coast were told to evacuate. Hawaii's tsunami threat was downgraded to an advisory by Tuesday evening. 9 Oprah asks people to donate after the Maui wildfires. Instagram/Oprah At the time, Hawaii Emergency Management Agency director Stephen Logan reported that anyone who evacuated could return to their homes. Dave Snider, the tsunami warning coordinator with the National Tsunami Warning Center in Alaska, further explained how tsunamis work. 'A tsunami is not just one wave,' he said, per the Associated Press. 'It's a series of powerful waves over a long period of time.' 9 Oprah and The Rock donate to Maui after the wildfires. Instagram/Oprah 'Tsunamis cross the ocean at hundreds of miles an hour — as fast as a jet airplane — in deep water. But when they get close to the shore, they slow down and start to pile up. And that's where that inundation problem becomes a little bit more possible there.' Snider added, 'In this case, because of the Earth basically sending out these huge ripples of water across the ocean, they're going to be moving back and forth for quite a while.' JP Saxe highlights tough economics of concert tours, saying his shows are in jeopardy

TORONTO - JP Saxe is telling fans his upcoming concert tour may be cancelled due to slow ticket sales. The Toronto singer-songwriter took to his social media platforms this week with a direct plea to listeners, offering rare insight into the touring economics for some musicians who aren't at the superstar heights of fame. Saxe is best known for his 2019 smash pop single 'If the World Was Ending' with Julia Michaels and he's released a consistent flow of popular tracks since, including 'Hey Stupid, I Love You' and 'I Don't Miss You.' But he said earlier this week that if he didn't sell '20 or so thousand tickets' to his upcoming Make Yourself at Home tour within 48 hours, it'll likely be scrapped. His post has racked up 1.5 million views on TikTok and more than 10,000 likes on Instagram. Saxe is currently scheduled to play more than 25 dates across North America, including stops in Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver. The ticket prices start at around $50. He posted a second video on Tuesday showing a crowd singing along to 'A Little Bit Yours' with the message: 'I thought it was impossible, but there's a chance you're saving this tour.' This report by The Canadian Press was first published July 30, 2025.
