Risabh Shetty wraps up shooting for Kantara Chapter 1
The makers, Hombale Films, announced the wrap-up on Instagram with a new poster for the film.
Along with the poster, they added a caption that read, "Wrap Up... The Journey Begins..."
"#KantaraChapter1 has been a divine journey, deeply rooted in our culture, brought to life with unwavering dedication, relentless hard work, and incredible team spirit. Can't wait to see you all in theatres on October 2nd, as this legendary tale unfolds on the big screen worldwide..." it added.
Earlier this month, the makers also shared a special birthday poster for Rishab Shetty, who turned 42. In the poster, Shetty is seen holding a battle axe and a shield, giving a glimpse of his powerful role in the film.
Rishab Shetty, who also directs the film, gained wide recognition for 'Kantara,' which released in 2022 and became a pan-India success. He played the lead role in the film and also won the National Award for Best Actor.
On receiving the honor, Shetty told ANI earlier, "This has been possible because of my entire team. I am just the face of the film; it is all because of their hard work. The production house, the DOP, the technicians--it's all because of them."
Set in the fictional village of Dakshina Kannada, 'Kantara' followed the character of Shetty, who portrayed a Kambala champion who had a faceoff with an upright Forest Range Officer. Kantara also won the 'Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment' award.
'Kantara Chapter 1' is set to hit theatres on October 2. (ANI)

Sunjay Kapur's Mother Rani Suspects Foul Play In His Death: "It Wasn't A Freak Accident Or Cardiac Arrest"
New Delhi: Sunjay Kapur, businessman and ex-husband of actor Karisma Kapoor, died on June 12. He was 53. He was reportedly in the UK and suffered a heart attack while playing polo. What's Happening A month after his death, Sunjay's mother, Rani Kapur, has raised questions regarding the circumstances of his sudden death. In a statement, she alleged that the incident, reported as a cardiac arrest, may not have been accurately described. "For my client, as a mother, it's deeply painful to watch this being dismissed as a mere freak accident and cardiac arrest. The truth doesn't match the headlines. She would not stay silent until that truth is acknowledged," said her legal counsel, senior advocate Vaibhav Gaggar, to ANI. Rani Kapur also claimed that shortly after her son's death, she was made to sign certain documents under distress. She has requested that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sona Group, which was scheduled for today, be cancelled. She also warned against the appointment of new directors at this time. Gaggar confirmed that while no legal proceedings have been initiated yet, his client has sought a deferment of the proposed AGM and reserves all her rights. Dermot Mulroney gives update on My Best Friends Wedding sequel, says 'I know nothing about it'
Washington DC [US], July 26 (ANI): After nearly 30 years, one of the most beloved romantic comedies of the 1990s could be getting a sequel. Actor and musician Dermot Mulroney recently revealed "there is talk of a sequel" to his 1997 PJ Hogan-helmed 'My Best Friend's Wedding', in which he co-starred with Julia Roberts, Cameron Diaz and Rupert Everett, according to Deadline. "I know nothing about it," the actor said while giving an update about the sequel, adding, "Last I heard, quote, lawyers were talking, unquote." 'My Best Friend's Wedding' is a 1997 romantic comedy film directed by PJ Hogan from a screenplay by Ronald Bass, who also produced the film. The film stars Julia Roberts, Dermot Mulroney, Cameron Diaz, and Rupert Everett. It features Roberts and Mulroney as Julianne and Michael, childhood friends who made a deal to marry each other if they were both still single by the time they turned 28. Days before her 28th birthday, Michael announces he's marrying 20-year-old Kimberly (Diaz), forcing Julianne to realise she's in love with her best friend, subsequently plotting to ruin the wedding. When asked which of her films she'd like to see a sequel to, Roberts showed an interest in revisiting her role as Jules in 2023. "I think, maybe, My Best Friend's Wedding," she revealed on Watch What Happens Live, reported Deadline. "Because there are so many people in it, and to see what they're doing and how Kimmy and Michael's marriage is going," added Roberts, before revealing whom she thinks Michael should have chosen: "Well, I mean, of course, Jules. But he married Kimmy," as per the outlet. With Diaz coming out of her 11-year acting retirement to star in Netflix's 'Back in Action' this year, perhaps the 4x Golden Globe nominee will be up for the sequel as well, according to Deadline.
