Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered has a secret Todd Howard cameo
Bathesda games director and producer Todd Howard has a hidden cameo in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered but only certain players will be able to meet him.
Many would describe The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered as more of a remake than a remaster, thanks to its upgraded graphics and numerous changes to the combat and user interface.
Bethesda insists, however, that it's not a remake, since the goal was to recreate 'the original game […] as you remember playing it, but seen through today's technology.'
As such, many of the original Oblivion's quirkier aspects, like the weird facial animations and various bugs, have remained intact. Recently, it's been discovered this also includes the secret cameo by executive producer Todd Howard.
Diehard Elder Scrolls fans are no doubt already familiar with Howard's cameo and have likely checked to see if it was kept for the remaster, as demonstrated by TerakJK on YouTube.
If you're interested in experiencing the cameo first-hand, the good news is that it's not especially difficult to find. The bad news is that it's only possible on the PC version.
Todd Howard's cameo in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion is located in a hidden room that's typically only accessible to developers, since it's used for testing and debugging purposes.
The only way to access the room yourself is by using console commands on the PC, which are debugging tools that many use to activate cheats. Some of the cheats for the original game still work for Oblivion Remastered, including god mode and flight.
By pressing the '~' button, you can open up a menu to input cheats. Type in the command 'coc toddtest', and you'll be instantly teleported to the testing room where Howard, or rather his character, is.
Howard doesn't appear as himself in Oblivion, but rather as a character called Alban Corinis, who doesn't appear in the full game. If you talk to him, he'll say a line that's clearly voiced by one of the game's actual voice actors, but afterwards you'll be offered a selection of dialogue options. More Trending
Click any of these and you'll hear a line voiced by Howard. Pick surprise, for example, and he'll say 'What? I didn't know that. How could this be?' in the least surprised tone imaginable.
Obviously, Howard only lent his vocal chops for testing the disposition mechanic, where non-playable characters' opinions and feelings towards you are reflected by in-game choices, so expecting a genuine performance out of his cameo is perhaps too much.
His character's disposition does change depending on what dialogue choices you pick though, so you can get Howard to profess his love for you or call you a b******, whichever you find most amusing.
There are more characters to interact with in the room too and there's another testing room you can explore with the command 'coc testinghall,' but there's unfortunately no way to access any of them on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions.

Hotel security officer testifies Diddy paid $100K to suppress assault video
This is a free article for Diddy on Trial newsletter subscribers. Sign up to get exclusive reporting and analysis throughout Sean Combs' federal trial. Much of today's testimony was spent revisiting Diddy's March 2016 assault on Casandra Ventura, an incident at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles that was captured on security video and shown to jurors at the start of his trial. Eddy Garcia, the hotel's security supervisor, testified that Diddy and his team desperately wanted to get the sole copy of the video and prevent it from getting out. In exchange for $100,000 divided among members of the hotel's security team, Garcia said, he signed a nondisclosure agreement that called for his silence and the destruction of evidence. Here's what else to know about today's testimony: Garcia testified that he was so 'nervous' about the NDA that he didn't read it all before he signed it. Diddy presented stacks of cash in a brown paper bag, added Garcia, who said he bought a used car with his $30,000 share. Garcia also said he wasn't initially truthful to police when he was asked about the assault. On cross-examination, the defense pointed out the NDA didn't stop Garcia from speaking about it in legal proceedings, a line of questioning presumably intended to undermine the government's potential claim of obstruction of justice. After Garcia, Derek Ferguson, the former chief financial officer of Bad Boy Entertainment, took the stand to discuss the structure of Diddy's businesses and how money flowed. 🔎 The view from inside By Adam Reiss and Jing Feng For the first time during the trial, a spectator disrupted the courtroom decorum, prompting U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian to order court marshals to 'escort her out right now.' The uproar began before the jury was seated and Garcia took the stand. At first, both prosecutors and the defense team were discussing with Subramanian exhibits in the trial and whether to offer evidence of Diddy's jail calls. Prosecutors also complained to Subramanian that a person who had been in the courtroom Monday broadcast on YouTube the real identity of a government witness, who went by the pseudonym 'Mia' when she testified. Suddenly, a woman in the courtroom began shouting in defense of Diddy, including that 'it's not right what they're doing to him' and 'Diddy's innocent.' She was quickly removed. Prosecutors later told Subramanian that the true name and identity of 'Mia' were being reported and asked for him to ban the outlet that made them public from the court. He said he would consider such a court order. Tomorrow: Frank Piazza, a forensic video expert, and Bryana Bangolan, who alleges that Diddy dangled her over an apartment balcony, may testify. PSA: Every night during Diddy's trial, NBC's 'Dateline' will drop special episodes of the 'True Crime Weekly' podcast to get you up to speed. 'Dateline' correspondent Andrea Canning chats with NBC News' Chloe Melas and special guests — right in front of the courthouse. Listen here. 🎧

Dark EastEnders scenes as Joel makes horror move in story with Tommy
Joel Marshall (Max Murray) continues to prove a bad influence on Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) in upcoming scenes on EastEnders. Joel took Tommy under his wing soon after arriving in Walford, and the pair quickly became thick and thieves. Already lonely and troubled, Tommy found (human) friendship in Joel, bonding as they bullied Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman) and unleashed all manner of teenage mischief over Albert Square. Newcomer Joel's behaviour has taken an increasingly dark turn however, after he slept with Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) and then shamed her for it online. This week, the pair stole Alfie Moon's (Shane Richie) credit card, using it to watch a pornographic video online. Dad Ross (Alex Walkinshaw) and Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) are still under the impression that his friendship with Tommy is good for Joel… but are unaware that the situation is about to drastically worsen. Vicki is disturbed when Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) reveals that no-one wants to be friends with Joel because he shamed Avani online for sleeping with him. Meanwhile, thinking Alfie responsible for the pornographic video on his laptop, Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) finally confronts him. The pair soon work out that it was Tommy who had been watching it. Elsewhere, Vicki tells Ross about Joel's actions toward Avani. The pair agree that he needs more positive male role models in his life. Later, they see Joel helping Tommy with his speech for Kat and Alfie's wedding. The pair breathe a sigh of relief, hoping that the friendship will be good for Joel. The next day, Kat and Alfie prepare to celebrate their wedding. However, concerns over Tommy and the video prevent them from enjoying the day. Alfie promises to talk to Tommy – but is it too little, too late? Elsewhere, Joel shows Tommy a video by a social media influencer who says derogatory things about women. More Trending Is Joel about to lead Tommy down an even darker path? This is just the latest worrying development from Joel, who's consistently proved himself to have an alarming attitude toward women. It was recently revealed that the reason Joel and Ross are no longer welcome back in Australia is due to Joel's past – making an 'upskirting' video without the other party's knowledge or consent. View More » Since arriving in Walford, he wasted little time in reverting to bad habits, making a recording of his time in bed with Avani. Ross discovered the footage, but chose to keep it a secret, so long as Joel kept his nose clean.
