New Zealand woman arrested after 2-year-old girl found alive in suitcase stowed in bus luggage
The bus driver noticed movement inside the bag during a planned stop at the settlement of Kaiwaka, north of Auckland, after a passenger asked for access to the luggage compartment, Detective Inspector Simon Harrison said in a statement.
When the driver opened the suitcase they discovered the 2-year-old girl, who was very hot but otherwise appeared physically unharmed, Harrison said. Authorities didn't disclose the length of time the toddler was in the baggage compartment or which cities the bus was traveling between.
The child was taken to a hospital, where she remained Sunday night local time.
The arrested woman was charged with ill-treatment or neglect of a child and was due to appear in court Monday. She was not named by law enforcement.
The bus company InterCity confirmed to New Zealand news outlets that the episode involved one of its vehicles. The company does not charge fares for children younger than 3 years, who can travel for free on an adult's lap.

Police said Worl matched the description given to them by the minors and he was arrested on Thursday, nine days after the alleged crime. Officials noted that Worl had a sexual fetish for wearing a diaper in public, and he also had a history of sexually preying on girls, aged from eight to 12 years old.

Man (20s) arrested over fire at Conor McGregor's Black Forge Inn pub
A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with a fire at Conor McGregor's pub in Dublin. An investigation has been ongoing into the small blaze last month at the Black Forge Inn. Mahomes Sr also agreed to be interviewed for the program and when asked how he felt about his actions affecting his son, he said: 'It kind of hit home before the Super Bowl last year, when I got in trouble. 'For him to have to answer questions about me, you know, was probably the most embarrassing thing that I've ever been through in my life. 'I called him right after. I said, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry that it's taken away from your time and focus." I made a vow that he would never have to deal with anything because of drinking because of me. I haven't had a drink since then.' Mahomes' wife Brittany added: 'I think it finally hit him that, you know, "I have my kids watching me, I have my grandkids now that are watching me".
