King Follows Up on Progress of Economic Modernization Vision During First Half of the Year His Majesty King Abdullah II on Wednesday followed up on the progress of the executive program for the Economic Modernization Vision during the first half of the year, in the presence of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II. اضافة اعلان During a meeting at Al Husseiniya Palace with Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan and relevant ministers, His Majesty was briefed on the key achievements of the vision's projects, stressing the need to adhere to implementation plans to ensure the desired results are achieved within the designated timeframe. His Majesty listened to a briefing on the workshops of the second phase of the vision, recently hosted by the Royal Hashemite Court, which reviewed the implementation of the first phase of the vision (2023–2025) and presented recommendations that address the priorities of the second phase, in preparation for drafting the government's executive program for the vision for the years 2026–2029. The King underscored the importance of the outcomes of these workshops, including initiatives and priorities that support the upcoming government executive program, in line with a participatory approach. He also highlighted the importance of focusing in the next phase on improving the quality of services. Moreover, His Majesty emphasized the need to maintain continuous communication with citizens to clarify the initiatives of the Economic Modernization Vision and the government's work plans. The meeting was attended by the King's Office Director Eng. Ala Batayneh, Minister of State for Economic Affairs Mohannad Shehadeh, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan, and Minister of Investment Dr. Tareq Abu Ghazaleh. --(Petra)

Ammon News - His Majesty King Abdullah II received a phone call from France President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday and stressed the need to step up efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza and de-escalate the situation in the West Bank. His Majesty emphasised the importance of ensuring the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid to all areas of the Strip, highlighting the ongoing cooperation between Jordan and France to step up the humanitarian response in Gaza. The King reiterated Jordan's rejection of Israeli statements regarding the 'Greater Israel' vision, plans to consolidate the occupation of Gaza and expand military control over it, and unilateral measures in the West Bank, including the settlement plan in the (E1) area. His Majesty said the only way to achieve just and comprehensive peace in the region is through the two-state solution, noting the importance of France's intention to recognise the State of Palestine as a step towards providing more support to Palestinians and achieving stability in the region. The call also touched on other regional developments, including Jordan's role in supporting Syria and Lebanon's efforts to preserve their sovereignty and enhance their stability.
