High school staff member accused of offering student $2,000 to kill her husband
A woman is accused of offering to pay a high school student to kill her husband last month.

Stephanie Demetrius, 44, was charged with conspiracy in connection to the alleged plot, CBS-affaliate WBNS reported.
On March 26, Demetrius approached a student at the Academy for Urban Scholars High School, where she was a staff member, according to court documents.

Police said Demetrius solicited the student to kill her husband for $2,000.
Court records state the student was initially paid $250 as a down payment for the job.
Police obtained a phone call between Demetrius and the student.
She allegedly told the student her husband worked from home and when her children would be out of the house.
Court records state that Demetrius told the student that 'they don't care about her neighbors' when asked if they would hear the gunfire.
She is currently being held in James A. Karnes Correction Center.

Bowen, Burton, and Norton were all in the facility to complete the program for a parole violation. Long was completing the program for a felony theft charge. The facility is operated by its own appointed board and the Franklin County court system, and it is accredited by the American Correctional Association. Former NFL player Adam ‘Pacman' Jones arrested in Kentucky
Police in Kentucky arrested former NFL player Adam 'Pacman' Jones. Action News Jax's Ohio station, WHIO-TV, reports Jones was booked into the Kenton County Jail early Saturday morning. Jones, who is from Atlanta, faces charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct in the second degree and assault on a police officer in the third degree, according to the jail records. WHIO-TV reported Jones was arrested at the Cincinnati Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG) in 2023 for alcohol intoxication, terroristic threatening, and disorderly conduct. He later pleaded guilty to one count of disorderly conduct in December 2023. Arlington, Texas police arrested Jones back in November after officers said he got into a fight near AT&T Stadium after the Mike Tyson-Jake Paul boxing match, the Athletic reported. Jones played 13 years in the NFL with the Tennessee Titans, Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals and Denver Broncos.
