Kanye West Told He Is 'Alone In This One' After His Free Diddy Rant: 'We Can't Keep Defending You Man'

Yahoo07-02-2025

Kanye "Ye" West is no stranger to controversy, but his latest social media rant about Diddy has fans shaking their heads in disappointment.
The rapper sparked media outrage following his repeated pleas for Diddy's release. He slammed the industry and other celebrities for turning their backs on the disgraced music mogul, seemingly implying that the scathing charges against him were false.
Kanye "Ye" West's recent comments make him one of the first prominent celebrities outside Diddy's family to speak out in support of the detained rapper. However, as far as fans are concerned, the "All Of The Lights" hitmaker should have stayed quiet.
Ye's cries for Diddy's freedom began on Wednesday night when he took X by storm. He started his rant subtly by posting "FREE PUFF" before shading other celebrities for keeping quiet.
He dropped multiple expletives against his colleagues, claiming they were happy to watch their "BROTHER ROT AND NEVER SAY SH-T." The rapper's rant continued in another post where he doubled down on supporting Diddy's release from federal custody.
"THEY TRYNA PROVE A POINT AND YALL KNOW THAT YALL F—ING KNOW THAT AND SITTING LAUGHING AT THE F—ING INTERNET ON INSTAGRAM THIS MAN GAVE HIS LIFE TO US THIS MY IDOL THIS MY HERO," Ye wrote, per TMZ, adding:
"WHAT YALL GONE DO CANCEL MY SNEAKER DEAL CANCEL MY RECORD DEAL FREEZE MY ACCOUNTS F— ALL YALL N—S SLAVERY IS A CHOICE IM SPEAKING MY MIND NOW I AINT EDITING SH-T AGAIN EVER."
After shocking X with his rants, Ye moved to Instagram to flaunt his relationship with one of Diddy's seven children. He shared a video recording of his Facetime call with Christian King Combs, a striking replica of his infamous father.
"A SON TO HIS DAD FOR EVERY SON WHO DAD IS LOCKED UP WRITE OR WRONG I WANT YALL TO LISTEN TO DAVE CHAPELLES JOKES VERY CLOSE THIS TIME," Ye wrote in the caption, adding:
"LETS SEE HOW FUNNY IT GETS WHEN FAMILIES ARE SEPARATED ESPECIALLY BLACK FAMILIES."
The post received over eight thousand comments, with many slamming him for supporting Diddy. One commenter spoke on behalf of the majority, writing, "We can't keep defending, you man." Another echoed similar sentiments, declaring, "Nah bro, you alone in this one."
The criticism against Ye continued with someone recalling the first time the rapper fell from grace in 2022. "Bro went from dissing Jews to supporting Diddy," the Instagram user lamented.
Another fan wondered why he behaved the way he did, while a third noted he had significantly changed from his peak days.
Meanwhile, others shut down Ye's support for Diddy's freedom, with one IG user stressing that he was "trying to save the wrong person." More fans shared the same thoughts, dropping numerous "Do not free Diddy" pleas and "Keep Diddy locked up" comments.
Even diehard Ye fans could no longer tolerate his actions, with someone noting he had been doing so well until his recent outburst.
A fellow disappointed admirer joked, "I hate being a Ye fan, it's awesome." The entertainer's support for Diddy comes at the heels of more scathing allegations against the music mogul.
Diddy's legal troubles increased this week after two women accused him of sexual assault. The Blast shared that Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee filed the new lawsuits for the alleged victims.
According to the legal documents, the duo's ill-fated encounter with Diddy occurred at the Trump Hotel in Manhattan in the 1990s. One of the plaintiffs claimed she met the rapper at the Limelight nightclub in New York City, where he hosted an event.
She and her friend attended the event; however, their plans to have a fun night allegedly ended with Diddy forcing them to the hotel's penthouse suite. The woman claimed he held them hostage and drugged them in the presence of other men and women before pushing them to have group sex.
The new sexual assault lawsuits arrived shortly after an anonymous musician accused Diddy and his Bad Boy Entertainment company of sexual battery and conspiracy. The aspiring rapper claimed he was performing at a Los Angeles nightclub in 2015 when the entertainer and his crew arrived.
A member of Diddy's crew allegedly approached the plaintiff to convey the rapper's interest in him. He was promised a deal with Diddy if he performed well and accepted the invitation to join him in the VIP area. There, he saw other famous artists using drugs.
The plaintiff alleged Diddy sent him a drink that made him feel lightheaded, a weakness the former exploited by forcefully performing oral sex on him despite his resistance. The man claimed he escaped Diddy's clutches by pretending he needed to use the bathroom.
Despite the scathing allegations against Diddy, it seems Kanye "Ye" West is willing to wage war to ensure his release from MDC Brooklyn.

Actress Karla Mosley shared a photo on Instagram of actress Margot Bingham, herself, Mike Manning, Jesse Ruben and his wife Jen Jacob, Tamara Tunie and Jerri Tubbs. Mosley captioned the photo saying, 'What a GIFT to celebrate @ supremely talented husband @ nights like this that make me feel like it's all going to be ok. 💗Check out his music (I did) or have him bring his positive message to your kiddos' school (I'm gonna)! Your heart will thank you.(And special shout out to friend of all my friends @margotbingham for guesting and KILLING IT. I want to swim in your voice.)' Jacob replied to the post, commenting, 'I want to SWIM in @margotbingham voice yes!!!! @karlamose you have the most special heart. I wanna be you when I grow up ❤️' to which Mosley said, 'It's the absolute truth! ❤️' Manning commented, 'A perfect example of the healing power of art.' Ruben recently shared information about his 'The Let's Talk About It Tour' stating, 'After spending so long stuck in my apartment, it's been so great being back on the road. PA/NJ/CT you're up next, followed by Florida and Maine and then all over the place in the fall for the new album. Some of these are house shows so check my website or reach out to me to rsvp. Can't wait to see your faces! And let me know where I should play in the fall! Info and tix in my bio.' Earlier this year, Ruben shared a personal post reflecting on the past and being excited about the future, sharing, ''Better' is a word I have a really tough relationship with. About 18 months ago I posted that I would be taking a break from social media/life/music stuff to deal with health issues. But at that point it had already been going on for 2 years. I've been very hesitant to say this out loud, because I've gotten my hopes up before. But I'm finally is not a post about how all you have to do is think positive thoughts and you'll get better eventually. I don't believe that. I got better because after dozens of doctors and tens of thousands of dollars on testing and treatment, I finally (and extremely luckily) found something that people handle health issues with grace and hope. I am not one of them. This time around was way harder than last time. It was really scary. And lonely. And frustrating. All I wanted was to be a normal person again, and do normal person things. Take a walk. Go to the grocery store. Spend time with people. Sometimes I pushed myself to do those things when I shouldn't have. Sometimes (a lot of the time) I took it out on @ when she didn't deserve looking back, I can see now how many people showed up. Called to check on me. Came to New York to spend time with me. Paid for treatment when we couldn't afford it. I wouldn't have gotten through the last 3 years without it.I'm not gonna lie, it's very overwhelming to start all over again in Atlanta. But I cannot wait to get back to touring and writing and performing and releasing music and being with people and finding my team and being a person and a partner to Jen and a dog dad to @grahamsandwich, and to continue to help anyone impacted by Lyme disease with @generation_lyme, and to work with as many young people as possible with @ year, I won't be so precious. I'll be releasing a ton of songs, restarting my Patreon, finishing writing my musical, and just generally doing and seeing and traveling as much as I can. If you host a house concert series, or work with kids, or are getting married and want me to play, ASK and I'll make it work. I've missed being around people the most. I'm excited to be back. Love you guys.' Tickets for Ruben's tour can be found here.
