The Jaguars will host Kansas City in a rematch of the AFC Divisional game from the 2022 season. These teams look very different since that meeting. Brian Thomas Jr. nor Travis Hunter were members of the Jaguars when the two teams met in Kansas City.
The Chiefs went on to win the Super Bowl that season and have appeared in each of the last three Super Bowls. The Jaguars are hoping to get there, starting with unseating the reigning champions of the AFC.

Seth Rollins on why Caleb Williams will have better Year 2 than Jayden Daniels Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams and Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels will be compared for the duration of their NFL careers. The first and second overall picks, respectively, have all of the talent and potential to thrive and be the face of the league for the long term. But while Daniels had an easy-going rookie season -- en route to Offensive Rookie of the Year honors -- Williams dealt with adversity and still faces plenty of criticism after just one year. "I think Caleb Williams is going to have a better year," Rollins said. "I think last year was an aberration. I think you're going to see a little bit of a sophomore slump. I think people are going to be able to gameplan for (Jayden) better. ... I just think the second year is going to be more difficult. You look at C.J. had a great year, but compared to the rookie year, not quite as good. I think you're going to look at it and see a situation like that whereas expectations are going to be a little bit lower for Caleb, and I think he's going to be able to exceed those. Plus, he's playing in a system with Ben Johnson that's going to be curated better to him than what he was doing with Shane Waldron." While it's easy to deem Rollins a "superfan" defending "his" quarterback, he brings up a good point. A sophomore slump could potentially be in play for Daniels, who had a lights-out rookie season. Also, we haven't even glimpsed Williams' ceiling after his chaotic rookie season that featured incompetent coaching. Now with Ben Johnson in place, we should get a taste of what Williams can really bring to the field. There's no reason Williams and Daniels can't both be great -- and we could very well be witnessing the beginning of that -- but people love to compare and declare who's better. That's a question that wouldn't even be answered for several years. But with both Williams and Daniels in the NFC, they'll be seeing a lot of each other throughout their careers -- especially if their respective teams become perennial playoff teams. Williams and Daniels will square off again for the second time in as many seasons when the Commanders host the Bears on Monday Night Football in Week 6. While Williams nearly won the first match -- before Tyrique Stevenson's blunder on a Hail Mary -- he'll have a chance to redeem himself and even the series with Daniels on Oct. 13.

At organized team activities (OTAs), New York got in some team drills as it ramps up towards training camp. Toward the end of practice, exhausted by the hot weather, a skirmish broke out and eventually evolved into a bigger fight. Advertisement Headlined by edge rusher Brian Burns, the fight ended Giants practice early. According to Connor Hughes, Burns sprinted from the sideline to take down backup left tackle James Hudson III, who signed in the offseason. Edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux got into it with tackle Jermaine Eluemunor, and the veteran linemen soon escalated things. After practice, Burns reacted to the fight. 'The only thing I'm mad about is we had to go ahead and call it up,' he said, via the Associated Press. 'But, I mean, we got most of our work done today. But I just want to stay away from that, and I'm going to let it be known to the team, like, that's not what we're doing. We've got to keep our minds set on the main thing, which is football. All that horseplay and all that stuff is cool or whatever, a nice edge and everything like that, but we do have to get to the details and get our work done.' Advertisement Burns isn't just the most proven pass rusher and the most expensive player on the Giants' defense. He's also a veteran leader, and that came through with his comments. His first order of business was damage control. 'I mean, it's just, it's a violent sport we play,' Burns said. 'You know, guys trying to get better. Tensions raised a little high. The heat is getting a little hotter, so guys get a little more agitated. But it ain't that deep. We squashed it.' Simply put, this isn't something New York has to worry about. Fights happen, both before joint practices and during them. Tensions run hot, people get tired, and the physicality of the sport ups the ante. People are fighting for jobs and pride, and they are all months away from actually being able to take it out on somebody. Advertisement 'I feel like it's healthy, at times,' Burns said. 'I feel like it's healthy to a certain extent, though. You still want to get your work done at the end of the day, but that competition and that dog, that edge, that we need to have is needed. Got to keep it up.' There is plenty of time for the locker room to gel and for the Giants to be better for their skirmishes. For now, it's a flash of something newsworthy while the offseason's dead period carries on. Needless to say, it will be something fans keep an eye on as practices continue. The Giants, naturally, aren't too worried. 'This ain't nothing but a little brotherhood.'
