Rome Odunze Dynasty Outlook: Dynasty WR Rankings
Coming into 2025 dynasty rookie drafts, Rome Odunze was one of the highest drafted prospects. According to Fantasy Pros, Odunze was drafted with an ADP of 3.5 and he was taken as the WR3 off the board.
For reference, Odunze was taken over Brock Bowers (5.0), Brian Thomas Jr (7.0) and Ladd McConkey (10.0). All of which are valued higher than Odunze on Keep Trade Cut.
With a disappointing 2024 season, Odunze presents an interesting challenge. Below, we'll be putting Odunze in my dynasty wide receiver rankings and if you should buy, sell or hold him.
Coming out of Washington, Odunze was an extremely highly touted prospect. Odunze put up an unreal 2024 season with a PFF grade of 89.5, a 2.93 YPR mark and an unreal 75% contested catch percentage.
At 6'3' and 215 lbs, Odunze profiles to be a legitimate WR1 in the NFL. On top of that, Odunze had a massive situational upgrade with Ben Johnson.
One of the main issues for Odunze was getting targets in a crowded Bears wide receiver room. Keenan Allen drew 121 targets in 2024, but it seems like he's out the door for 2025.

Right now, Odunze is ranked as the WR15 on KTC, which presents owners with a tough situation. From a value perspective, the only player I'd take Odunze over is A.J. Brown (WR14).
With that in mind, Odunze should be a hold. He's priced very appropriately, making it tough to get a nice discount for Odunze.
With that being said, if you can swap out a higher-ranked running back for Odunze, you should be doing so. Two players I would move off of for Odunze are Bucky Irving (37) and Breece Hall (35).
Even after a rough year one, Odunze is the WR14 in my dynasty wide receiver rankings. It's tough to rank players against each other, but right now, Odunze is my 37th-ranked player in a Superflex format.
For 1QB leagues, that bumps him up to 24th overall. As a former 9th overall pick, Odunze has a ton of upside in this new-look Bears offense.

Illinois Rep. Kam Buckner not ready to support tax break for Bears' Arlington Heights stadium
The Chicago Bears now laser-focused on making suburban Arlington Heights their new home and are pushing for a State of Illinois-approved property tax break. CBS News Chicago spoke with one lawmaker who is not ready to support it. Illinois state Rep. Kam Buckner (D-Chicago) penned an opinion piece that ran in the Chicago Tribune Tuesday morning explaining why he says the Bears should be paying more into the system, not less. "They have a track record of leaving the people holding the bag. When they, if they leave Chicago, the people of Chicago still owe money on the Soldier Field renovation that they demanded," Buckner said. "So for them to pick up stakes and leave Chicago, and then try to get a similar or even more lucrative sweetheart deal in a neighboring suburb, to me is bad form." Buckner said he doesn't think Illinois should bankroll the Bears' departure from Chicago without a serious conversation. He said moving to Arlington Heights will raise property values and increase demand on schools, local roads, utilities and first responders. In Buckner's words, an $8.8 billion company moving into town would normally be expected to contribute to all of that. Buckner's thoughts came after Bears leadership announced on Friday that they are going full steam ahead on the plan to relocate the team to Arlington Heights. Bears brass even suggested the team might break ground there this year — but only with the passage of a bill granting long-term property-tax certainty. "It is much more that the Bears benefiting from this bill," said Bears president and chief executive officer Kevin Warren. Warren estimated the Arlington Heights stadium could generate 56,000 construction jobs and 9,100 permanent jobs. CBS News Chicago asked Mayor Brandon Johnson on Tuesday for his thoughts on the proposed tax break. His response was that a financial investment would better serve the area on Chicago's lakefront. "I try not to get into the responsibility and duty of, you know, state reps and state senators," said Mayor Johnson. "All I'm simply saying is that the proposal in Chicago, there's a lot of benefit to that proposal." Buckner spoke to CBS News Chicago from Springfield on Tuesday. That is where he believes the Bears' ownership should meet with lawmakers to make their case in person. Buckner pointed out that just last year, Jerry Reinsdorf came to Springfield in person to talk about the future home for the White Sox.

Bears sign 4 DBs, waive WR John Jackson, K Jonathan Kim
The Chicago Bears made a series of roster moves on their day off, adding four defensive backs to their roster. On Tuesday, the team announced they had signed defensive backs Millard Bradford, Mekhi Garner, Kaleb Hayes, and Mark Perry. To make room, the Bears waived wide receiver John Jackson and kicker Jonathan Kim, waived defensive back Major Burns with an injury designation, and placed defensive back Shaun Wade on injured reserve. Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune first reported the signings of Garner, Hayes, and Perry on Monday. Bradford signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2024 and appeared in three games, totaling three tackles. Now he reunites with defensive coordinator Dennis Allen, his former head coach. Perry was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2024 out of TCU by the Miami Dolphins and has since hopped around to multiple teams, spending time on the practice squad for the Houston Texans, New England Patriots, and Tennessee Titans. Garner, another undrafted free agent, came into the league with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023 and played in three games as a special teams player. He spent some time with the Arlington Renegades of the UFL earlier this spring. Hayes also entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2023, joining the Jacksonville Jaguars. Like Perry, he has bounced around with multiple NFL teams and has yet to appear in a regular season game. All four players took part in a tryout on Monday. Departing the team is Jackson, who joined the Bears in 2024 as an undrafted free agent. Jackson spent all last season on the practice squad and had a couple of bad drops in this year's preseason opener against the Miami Dolphins. He is close friends with quarterback Caleb Williams after playing together at USC. Kim, meanwhile, signed earlier this offseason as an undrafted free agent and was the second kicker behind Cairo Santos. He played the second half of Sunday's preseason game. Burns was also 2025 undrafted free agent and played early in Sunday's preseason game before leaving with an injury. Wade joined the Bears earlier in the offseason.
