
Missing Calgary man last seen in Highwood Park last month: police
Calgary police are looking to the public for help finding a missing man last seen in the community of Highland Park in June.
Police say Michal, 44, who goes by Mike, was last seen leaving the Shell gas station at the intersection of McKnight Boulevard and Centre Street North on Monday, June 2.
'Although there is nothing to indicate foul play is involved, police and Michal's family are concerned for his well-being,' said a Thursday news release.
Michal is described as 5'4' tall (163 cm) and 160 pounds (73 kg), with short brown hair, brown facial hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing a red Toronto Raptors baseball hat, a purple, black and white Toronto Raptors hoodie, beige Carhartt pants and red and black sneakers.
He is known to frequent the Calgary Transit system and speaks with a Polish accent.
Anyone who knows of Michal's whereabouts is asked to call police at 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
NOTE: The Calgary Police Service announced last year it would no longer be sharing the last names of those who are reported missing – or sharing details of whether any of those individuals are located deceased – as a standard practice moving forward.

Okotoks RCMP ask for public assistance to identify suspect in parkade theft
Police are trying to identify a suspect in a parking garage theft in Okotoks that took place early on August 15. Okotoks RCMP are asking for public assistance to help them identify a suspect in a parking garage theft. Early Friday, between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m., police say a man entered an underground parkade located on Crystal Shore Road in Okotoks and smashed a number of vehicle windows and stole items inside. The suspect is described as a man with a fair complexion, about 5′7″ tall and 140 pounds, with a slim build. He was wearing a light-blue polo shirt, black ball cap with white writing on front, a small cross-body bag and side satchel and grey/green chinos with runners.
