A host of amenities provided at 88th ward
On Friday, along with Pendurthi MLA Panchakarla Ramesh Babu and ward corporator M Mutyala Naidu, he laid foundation stone for various development projects worth Rs 3.13 crore in 88th ward.
Speaking on the occasion, the Mayor said that the NDA government led by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will develop State on all fronts in a consistent manner. He said that Visakhapatnam is a very attractive city and there is a need to develop the city to draw more number of tourists. Srinivasa Rao stated that that as part of facilitating infrastructure for the people, CC roads, CC canals, CC culverts, box culverts are being constructed in Bangarupeta, Indira Nagar, Mutyamamba colony, Kothur, Nagaraju Thota, Kunchuvanipalem, Gangavaram and other areas in the ward.
The Mayor instructed the GVMC engineering officials to commence works at the earliest and complete them within the stipulated time.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Panchakarla Ramesh Babu said that the coalition government is providing welfare schemes and focusing on various development programmes across the state.
GVMC 6th zone commissioner BRS Seshadri, executive engineer MRS Prasad, assistantengineer Kedarnath, TDP and Jana Sena party leaders and GVMC staff participated in the programme.

Khatu Shyamji temple panel to rebuild PM Shri govt school
Jhunjhunu: Khatu Shyamji temple committee has stepped in to rebuild the local PM Shri govt higher secondary school after the public works department (PWD) declared the school building as dilapidated and unsafe. Once the education department grants approval, the existing building will be demolished and the temple committee will start construction of a new building. The committee plans to build 32 classrooms over 25,000 square feet, including smart classes, a science lab, a library, a playground, security guard rooms, and other facilities. Following the school building mishap in Jhalawar district, Rajasthan govt has urged attention to school infrastructure. Responding promptly to this appeal, the temple committee offered to rebuild the school. Committee member Manvendra Singh Chauhan handed over a letter in this regard to schools principal Ranjana Jangid Saturday. The estimated cost of the construction is Rs 6 crore. According to the committee, construction will begin as soon as the necessary approvals from the education department are received. Speaking in his parliamentary constituency on Saturday, the PM emphasised that the "top priority of the government remains the welfare of farmers, small industries and employment for youth." He reaffirmed the resilience of the Indian economy, saying that the country must remain vigilant about its economic interests and adopt 'swadeshi' products. "There is an atmosphere of global instability. All countries are focusing on their individual interests. Emphasising the govt's focus on boosting women's participation in agriculture through initiatives like Lakhpati Didi and Drone Didi, he stated that the aim is to empower 3 crore rural women financially, with over 1.5 crore already becoming Lakhpati Didis. " Despite agriculture being a state subject, the Centre has taken proactive steps to enhance farmers' income and living standards by implementing beneficial schemes, PM Modi said. He praised banks for launching a mega campaign and holding fairs in villages across the country for KYC renewal of the account holders under the Jan-Dhan scheme on the completion of its 10 years of launching.
