Popeyes to open first Stoke-on-Trent restaurant
The general manager role has a closing date of Friday 11 July and pays up to £44,000-a-year. The assistant general manager position is open until August 2.
The location of the new branch has yet to be disclosed. But it is thought that the chain will move onto Festival Park and open in the old Frankie & Benny's unit or in the soon-to-be-vacant Pizza Hut.

It comes as Pizza Hut is shutting its Festival Park restaurant on July 26.
Burger chain Five Guys is also currently recruiting staff ahead of opening its first-ever Stoke-on-Trent restaurant on Festival Park.

Burger chains are one of the most popular restaurant chains in America. There are more than 86,000 businesses in the burger restaurants industry in the U.S. according to research conducted by QSR Magazine. Now, one popular burger chain has been quietly closing locations this year. This chain isn't going away or going bankrupt, though, and the chain's CEO is clarifying what these closings really mean. Wahlburgers burger chain, owned by Paul, Donnie and Mark Wahlburg, has closed 79 locations this year, according to Eat This, Not That. But, it's not as bad as it looks. One of the reasons for the closings is the end of a franchise agreement, with Eat This, Not That stating, "Wahlburgers closed down several locations located within Hy-Vee stores, ending a franchising agreement that started in 2017." CEO Randy Sharpe set the record straight on what was going on with those locations in February. In an article from Nation's Restaurant News, he firmly stated, "It's not 79 restaurants closing. If you saw what was being shuttered, it's a food court kiosk. It's not a full-service restaurant, and it wasn't a significant revenue driver for either side." "We've learned from the past, and we're focused on quality, not quantity,' he added. "This isn't about closing locations; it's about ensuring that every Wahlburgers represents what we stand for — great food, great service, and great partnerships." In some good news for Wahlburgers, the restaurant recently updated its menu and added new menu items such as Teriyaki Pineapple Smashburger, WahlStreet Spritz and Strawberry Shortcake Shake. Pub's underground toilets damaged during roadworks
Council contractors working on a pedestrian scheme have accidentally damaged a pub's underground toilets during their work. Patrons at The Quadrant pub in Clifton, Bristol, now have to cross the road to use two portable toilets, after diggers destroyed a cellar roof. Pub director Tom Rowell said the damage meant his pub was losing 30-50% of its usual takings at this time of year. Bristol City Council said: "We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused and are actively working with the business owner to rectify the situation as quickly as possible and with minimal disruption." "Luckily I was the only person in the building when I heard the crash, I went to the bathrooms to look and I could see daylight coming through and contractors looking down," Mr Rowell said. The damage and subsequent water leaks mean the building has no functioning toilets and patrons have to use two portable toilets. "My business relies on goodwill and of repeat and returning customers and giving them a premium and enjoyable experience and as soon as they come to need to use the facilities, the fact that they're not there has been a big issue," he said. Mr Rowell said there was a "lack of urgency" over the repairs, and "a level of passing the buck to the next person or the next department". He estimated internal repairs would take two days, but that could not happen until the road above was also fixed. Councillor Ed Plowden, chairman of Bristol City Council's Transport and Connectivity Committee said: "We accept that we need to put it right and have provided two portable toilets on site for The Quadrant customers to use until the remedy works have been complete."
