Health fans praise 'fantastic' kitchen gadget that uses little to no oil or butter
Health kicks are praising Drew & Cole's 5-Minute Cleverchef Deluxe for helping them to stay on track at mealtimes. The hot plate-style gadget can cook everything from fluffy omelettes to juicy burgers and golden toasties.
Drew & Cole's 5-Minute Cleverchef Deluxe is £49.99 on Yimbly (a marketplace owned by The Mirror's parent company, Reach Plc). Throughout July, consumers can drive the price down further using the discount code SUMMERDAYS10.
The offer reduces the price to £44.99. The 5-Minute Cleverchef Deluxe can also be purchased on Littlewoods for £46.99, where prospective buyers can find upwards of 1,000 ratings and reviews.
The gadget is built with three easy-to-change plates, including an omelette plate, a grill plate for paninis and meats, and a waffle plate. The plates are non-stick, so owners can reduce the amount of oil or butter they use when cooking.
Yimbly also sells a cheaper version of the CleverChef for £29.99 (£26.99 with the discount code SUMMERDAYS10 applied); however, this version does not come with interchangeable plates. It is cheaper to buy on Amazon, where it is priced at £24.
Alternatively, Currys offers the famous George Foreman Flexe Grill for £59.99. It requires little to no oil and has a built-in drip tray to collect any extra fat.
One Littlewoods reviewer left a detailed review for Drew & Cole's 5-Minute Cleverchef Deluxe, saying: "This little monster is so good I have bought a second one. I absolutely love it. Omlettes are a breeze and those toasties. Just so crispy.
"It helped me out so much when my mum was in the late stages of her life. She wouldn't eat, but if I asked if she wanted a baby omlette, she knew what it was and always said yes, it was the one thing she always ate. Thanks for making a little machine that did so much good in the end. Highly recommend this little machine."
An additional shopper was underwhelmed with the device, writing: "It's okay, but not quite what I expected. It's a bit small, and it doesn't cook well."
A third added: "I bought this grill for portion control as I'm on a diet. This is absolutely perfect. It makes a fantastic omelette and cooks a cheese toastie to perfection (all I've tried so far, as I'm addicted to the omelette).
"It's so easy to use and clean. I'm really pleased."
Another alternative to Drew & Cole's Cleverchef Deluxe is Ninja's Sizzle Pro XL Grill & Flat Plate, which costs £179.99. The wide grill surface fits up to ten burgers, chicken (breast, thigh or leg) or salmon fillets. It is intended for outdoor cooking only.

Shoppers say 'game-changer' misting fan is ideal for 'allergies and hay fever sufferers'
The tower fan has a 3-litre water tank and three modes, for daytime and nighttime use The pollen count in the summer can be insufferable for people with hay fever and allergies. As well as taking medication, homes can invest in fans and misting options to clean the air and rid rooms of pollen. Currently, Yimbly (a marketplace owned by The Mirror's parent company, Reach Plc) is offering customers a discount code, which reduces the price of a HOMCOM Misting Fan from £84.99, down to £76.50. To use, simply add the discount code SUMMERDAYS10 at checkout for 10% off. The code is valid for use until the end of August. For comparison, the same fan can be bought on Amazon for £84.99, and on Robert Dyas for £92.99. 63p-a-day supplement for menopausal women that aids with 'brain fog, joint aches' Amazon shoppers 'blown away' by 'better-than Shark and Vax' vacuum cleaner The oscillating tower fan has three speeds and spray levels, with options such as normal, natural, or sleep mode to choose from. Its 'ultrasonic atomization technology' works to evaporate heat, while the water spray function cools and cleans the air. For smaller options, Amazon sells a handheld mister fan for £15.29 (usually £17.99). The portable airer has a mini water tank inside the handle and is rechargeable. It is ideal for taking to work, family/friends days out or even on holiday. At the top end of the market is Shark's FlexBreeze Pro Mist Indoor & Outdoor Fan, which is currently on sale for £219.99, usually £249.99. The device has a range of up to 20 meters, with both mist and dry mode functions. Prospective buyers of the HOMCOM Spray Misting Fan can find reviews and ratings of the device on Amazon. One user described it as a 'brilliant fan', before adding: "I suffer from hay fever and allergies and this fan has been a game changer. "The mist catches all the particles and the air is much cleaner and fresher. Would recommend to anyone with health issues and remote makes it easy to use." Another customer said: "Fantastic item, does the job. Love the misting function, I might purchase another for downstairs." One Amazon buyer was not as pleased, saying: "The plastic strip that secures the front and rear fan grille is difficult to fit, also the securing hardware was missing. The mist generated is small, far smaller than the advertisement and does not cool any more than a conventional fan of a similar size." An additional person wrote: "It was easy to move around and brilliant at keeping you cool." A fifth buyer concludes: "Excellent product. Does what it says, would recommend this." Meanwhile, customers new to Yimbly can find reviews and ratings of its general customer service and quality on Trustpilot. One person said: "Excellent prices, quick delivery. I have never bought from here before, but I would definitely buy from here again." However, some shoppers noted delivery had been 'slow. With one person stating: "Easy ordering but slow on delivery, hence 4 stars. All round well worth recommending." While another reviewer concluded: "Excellent product, easy to put together, and customer service was amazing."

The Mazda MX-5 is more than just a drop-top, though, because it's the best-value sports car on sale in Britain, and a multiple Auto Express New Car Awards winner. You can bag the keys to one of the automotive world's greats for less than £300 right now – but you'd better hurry because deals like this won't hang around for long. Advertisement - Article continues below Carwow Leasey is offering the terrific MX-5 Roadster for just £296.57 a month right now. This four-year deal requires a £3,853.84 initial payment, while you can enjoy 6,000 miles of top-down motoring a year. This deal is for the entry-level 1.5-litre Prime-Lime – but, remember, Mazda doesn't make a bad MX-5, and to many enthusiasts the basic package is the best. It still comes with 16-inch black-painted alloys, cruise control and sat-nav, along with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Because this is the soft-top Roadster and not the hard-top RF (Retractable Fastback), the switch from top-up to top-down motoring requires just a flick of your wrist. Then you can hear the rorty exhaust note from that fizzy little 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine. With 130bhp and just a 1,106kg kerbweight to lug around, performance is brisk, with 0-62mph taking 8.3 seconds. But the MX-5 isn't really about speed – it's a wonderfully involving driving experience, with a rifle-bolt-sharp six-speed direct-action gearbox, and light, engaging steering. We can't think of many cheaper ways to get good old-fashioned summer thrills for such a low price. The Car Deal of the Day selections we make are taken from our own Auto Express Buy A Car deals service, which includes the best current offers from car dealers and leasing companies around the UK. Terms and conditions apply, while prices and offers are subject to change and limited availability. Joe Cole picks out Premier League signing of the summer - 'A massive statement'
Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are among the Premier League clubs who have spent big money in the summer transfer window ahead of the new 2025-26 season Joe Cole feels that Florian Wirtz is the signing of the summer in the Premier League, saying that Liverpool 's acquisition of the Bayer Leverkusen star is a "massive statement". The Reds have been the top-flight's biggest spenders after parting with close to £300million to strengthen Arne Slot 's team all over the pitch. But their domestic rivals have also invested some serious cash on new players ahead of the upcoming 2025-26 campaign. But Cole reckons landing Wirtz - signed for a British record £116m - is the transfer coup of the summer in the Premier League. "Liverpool have made a massive statement," Cole told TNT Sports. "When you see a player who can slow the game down like he can when he's on the ball, he's absolutely brilliant. "I think it's the signing of the summer. When was the last time Liverpool made a signing like this? For me it's the statement signing. He's the best young player in the world and they've just spent over £100m to get him. He's just a natural footballer. "The more we talk about Liverpool and their new signings, I just can't see past them for the title now. For me they are the most clear favourites to win the league we've had in the last ten years. The best have got better again and they've raised the bar." Owen Hargreaves joined Cole in signing the praises of Wirtz, who hit double figures for goals and assists in the Bundesliga last term. "Florian Wirtz is really unique and that's probably why they signed him," he added. "In those tight spaces he's probably the best in the world and he's a good finisher as well. He's learnt to be the focal point and actually get goals and assists. "As much as he cost, I think people will be surprised by how amazing he is. He just gives Liverpool something different. This kid is very unique. "The only problem for him is the price-tag because he's so expensive and people are going to expect crazy numbers, but he will give Liverpool something different."
