Dubai Police recognised as the world's strongest police brand
The force received a prestigious AAA+ rating and an overall score of 9.2 out of 10 following a comprehensive comparative study conducted across 10 countries and involving feedback from more than 8,000 stakeholders and relevant entities.
The assessment highlighted Dubai Police's exceptional performance across all evaluated pillars, including ethics, operational efficiency, transparency, and innovation. It also underscored the force's contribution to strengthening the UAE's and Dubai's soft power, with a brand value of Dhs57.9 billion ($15.8 billion), out of a total national brand value of Dhs4.48 trillion ($1.2 trillion), according to Brand Finance's National Brand Report.
Superior Performance
Dubai Police outperformed leading global police forces across all eleven reputation criteria, achieving scores well above the global average in key areas such as fair treatment of all individuals (57%), commitment and integrity (60%), safety and security assurance (67%), ethical conduct (59%), professional engagement (62%), effective duty performance (64%), positive presence on social media platforms (57%), transparent and effective communication (51%), innovation in crime prevention (54%), modernity and progressive development (54%), and strong operational field presence (63%).
These results position Dubai Police as not only an effective law enforcement body, but also a key contributor to soft power and economic value, offering a global model for excellence in policing.
Strategic National Alignment
Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, extended his deepest appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, for their unwavering support and strategic guidance.

Methodology
Brand Finance based its assessment on existing data reflecting perceptions of Dubai and the UAE's soft power, using inputs from the City Index and the Global Soft Power Index. A dedicated research study was conducted in line with international benchmarking standards to evaluate Dubai Police's contribution to the UAE and Dubai's 2025 performance in the index. The study included public perception data from 10 countries and over 8,000 stakeholders and participants.

CAIRO (WAM) His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sunday visited Egypt's Islamic Cultural Centre in Cairo's New Administrative Capital. The centre spans an impressive 467,000 square meters. Upon his arrival, His Highness Sheikh Sultan was welcomed by Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, the Egyptian Minister of Awqaf, Counselor Adnan Fanjari, the Egyptian Minister of Justice, and Eng. Khaled Abbas, Chairman of the Administrative Capital for Urban Development. His Highness Sheikh Sultan expressed his great pleasure and gratitude for the warm reception. He praised the centre's pioneering services, which he noted reflect Egypt's profound care for Islamic culture and its leading role in promoting Islamic values and principles. This, he said, contributes to strengthening the status of the Islamic faith regionally and internationally. The Deputy Ruler of Sharjah commended the centre's unique architectural designs, which blend heritage with modern creativity. He also praised the exceptional religious facilities, calling the centre a comprehensive environment that serves Islam and Muslims, promotes virtuous values, and enhances the civilisational and cultural role of mosques. His Highness stopped at an observation deck overlooking the Government District, which offers a unique view of the Presidential Palace and the legislative and executive authorities. He listened to a briefing on the centre's location and design, which combines a modern Islamic style with traditional Egyptian architectural heritage, such as the Mamluk style. The centre is also notable for its central location with the Grand Mosque of Egypt at its heart, surrounded by gardens and cultural and service buildings. He then proceeded to the House of the Quran, located beneath the mosque's plaza. His Highness learned about its Readers' Room, which displays personal belongings and chronicles the lives of Egypt's most revered Quranic reciters, including Sheikh Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husari, Sheikh Taha Al-Fashni, and Sheikh Mustafa Ismail. His Highness Sheikh Sultan walked through corridors decorated with Quranic verses leading to the Quranic halls. Each of the 30 rooms is dedicated to a specific part of the Quran, with the walls of each room engraved with the entire text of that section. The rooms are equipped with audio devices for listening to recitations to aid in memorisation. He also viewed the centre's master plan, its beautiful designs, the murals inscribed with Quranic verses, and some of the historic Qurans and religious artifacts in the centre's collection. He concluded his visit at the Grand Mosque of Egypt, which is the largest mosque in the republic and the third largest in the world. It can accommodate 12,000 worshippers inside, with a total capacity of approximately 137,000. The mosque features a unique architectural design with two minarets, each standing 148 meters tall, and a main dome with a diameter of 29.5 meters and a weight of 500 tonnes, along with 20 smaller domes. The mosque's wooden minbar is recognised by Guinness World Records as the largest in the world.

Survivor of trafficking earns diploma in combating human trafficking in Dubai
'S.G.' is a talented young man who dreamed of playing football in Europe. Tragically, his aspirations were shattered when he fell victim to a human trafficking gang that forced him into labour in an exploitative industry targeting women. He endured relentless abuse and threats to his life before he ultimately managed to hard-earned escape. After such a harrowing experience, the young man moved to Dubai, encouraged by a friend to start anew. There, he secured employment with a private security company at one of the airports. The company nominated him to enrol in the 'Anti-Human Trafficking Specialist Diploma', a program launched by the National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking and the Dubai Police, in cooperation with the Dubai Judicial Institute, and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. This diploma aims to prepare specialists to effectively and professionally address human trafficking crimes and support their victims. Diploma Completion and Research Despite suffering significant challenges from his harsh experience, the young man met all diploma requirements and conducted an in-depth study titled "Border Control Procedures to Prevent Human Trafficking Crimes." In his conclusion, he presented five key recommendations to address this critical issue, underscoring the necessity of a comprehensive training program for law enforcement and border control officials. This program should encompass human trafficking indicators, victims' rights, and the procedures for reporting and responding to trafficking cases. In his research, he advocated for establishing mechanisms to enhance cooperation and information sharing among agencies and organizations, including law enforcement, border control, and non-governmental organizations. He also recommended launching public awareness and educational campaigns to inform the public about human trafficking indicators, victims' rights, and reporting procedures. He underscored the necessity of creating mechanisms to support and protect human trafficking victims, ensuring their access to medical care, social services, and legal assistance. Additionally, he stressed the importance of developing and implementing effective border control measures, including using biometric technology, conducting thorough risk assessments, profiling, and promoting collaboration among various agencies and organizations. Knowledge Against Human Trafficking The young man shared his experience completing his diploma: "I joined the program at my manager's recommendation, which encouraged me to deepen my understanding of human trafficking, its indicators, and its components. Although I hadn't previously shared my own harsh experiences with him, I opened up to my classmates during the course. They were taken aback by the details I shared and urged me to continue, persevere, and put in the effort." He remarked, "The diploma offered a valuable opportunity to deepen my understanding of this inhuman crime and to share that knowledge with my colleagues, particularly as we work in the private security and guarding sector. This experience empowers us to save lives by recognizing the signs and indicators that victims of these transnational crimes may exhibit." He stressed that knowledge and awareness are essential preventive measures that can shield anyone from falling victim to trafficking gangs. His Story with the Deceptive Broker The young man's journey began as a talented football player in his home country, with dreams of playing in Europe. One day, a man approached him, claiming to be a football agent. He promised to help the young man become a professional with a club in an African country, where he would be taken directly to Europe to play. He continued, "I saved money and traveled a long way through the desert to reach the African country, excited to pursue my dream. But upon arrival, I was devastated to discover that there was no football club. Instead, I had fallen into the clutches of a human trafficking gang, and the broker was one of its members." Beatings and Death Threats The young man stated, "They forced me to work for them under threats and beatings. They were involved in the exploitation of women, and my role was to guard and transport them from one location to another. I attempted to escape the first time, but they caught me, brutally assaulted me, and threatened to kill me if I ever attempted to flee again." Escape and Stability He mentioned that his second attempt to escape was successful, aided by someone who sympathized with him. He traveled through several countries before finally returning home safely. Later, a friend living in the UAE offered to help him find a job. Arriving on a visitor's visa, he secured employment with a private security company, which transformed his life and provided him with psychological, mental, and social stability.
