At 68, Denise Austin Shares 3 ‘Easy' Moves to Tone ‘Waistline'

Denise Austin shared a workout video targeting the abs on Instagram.
The fitness pro demonstrated three 'easy' standing moves.

Most recently, the 68-year-old demonstrated a three-move core workout to tone the abs and 'waistline.'
'Spring into action this season and give these three exercises a try to effectively shrink your waistline!!' Austin captioned the video. 'They're easy to do anywhere...at any time...with any routine!! Let's get moving!!'
Below, find a breakdown of Austin's three standing ab exercises shown in the video.
This simple move is a great warm-up. Austin begins with her feet shoulder-width apart and her arms outstretched toward opposite sides of the room. She gently leans from side to side, reaching with her right arm toward the right side of the room, placing her left hand on her left hip. Then she returns to the center and quickly reaches her left arm toward the left side of the room.
This exercise is a compound movement that combines a lunge (which targets the legs) and a twisting movement (which targets the oblique muscles). Austin begins with her feet spread wide on the mat. Her arms are outstretched wide, towards opposite sides of the room. She performs a lateral lunge, bringing her glutes back and placing her weight on the foot that remains on the ground, reaching the opposite arm toward her knee to create a twisting movement that works the abdominal muscles. She alternates quickly from one side to the next.
The final move also targets the obliques. Austin begins the exercise by starting in a lunge position with her arms outstretched in front of her body. Next, Austin pulls her back leg forward, crunching it toward her chest, while twisting with her waist toward the leg and bringing her arms to her hip.
