Report – Inter Milan Ready To Raise Lookman Bid To Ward Off Arsenal Interest

Yahoo2 days ago
Inter Milan are ready to raise their offer for Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman in order to ward off interest from Arsenal.
This according to today's print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, via FCInterNews.
One thing that looks extremely clear is that Ademola Lookman wants to leave Atalanta this summer.
The 27-year-old made a public transfer request. He accused La Dea of breaking a 'promise' to sell him this summer.
Furthermore, Lookman has no-showed training for the past few days.
It is also no secret that Lookman wants to join Inter. The player already has an agreement on personal terms with the Nerazzurri, who have had two offers turned down by Atalanta already.

However, Inter are not necessarily the only team to be eyeing up a move for Lookman.
And the more time that passes without the Nerazzurri securing a deal, the likelier it is that other big European clubs could see the possibility to hijack the move.
One particularly formidable rival for Lookman's signature would be Arsenal.
The Gunners have identified the Nigerian international as a possible transfer opportunity, according to recent reports.
Therefore, La Repubblica report, Inter are keen to raise their offer very soon to prevent Arsenal from nipping in.

Official: Galatasaray release Morata on 5m compensation package

Galatasaray have terminated their loan with Milan for Alvaro Morata, receiving €5m, so he can now complete the transfer to Como. It had been one of the longest running sagas on the transfer market, dragging on for months, as Morata had effectively agreed to join Como in early June. Morata finally released from Galatasaray MUNICH, GERMANY – JUNE 08: Alvaro Morata of Spain appears dejected as he collects his runners up medal following defeat in the UEFA Nations League 2025 final match between Portugal and Spain at Munich Football Arena on June 08, 2025 in Munich, Germany. It was worth €6m for a one-year loan, with an obligation to buy for a further €8m in January 2026. By cutting it short by six months, Galatasaray have received a €5m compensation package. Morata also agreed to forego €651,562 in money he would've been owed, as he was desperate to make the move to Como stick. Now this has finally been resolved, the Spain international can move to Como, reportedly on loan with an obligation to buy for €10m. Milan paid €13m to sign the striker from Atletico Madrid in July 2024.

Travis Hunter's Final Stats From His First NFL Preseason Game

Travis Hunter's Final Stats From His First NFL Preseason Game originally appeared on The Spun. The Heisman Trophy winner played both ways. Fans were able to get their first look at Travis Hunter in an NFL uniform on Saturday as he attempts to do something that's never really been seen in modern football — play on both sides of the ball full-time. The former Heisman Trophy winner played 10 snaps on offense and another eight on D in Jacksonville's 31-25 loss to the Steelers, where he caught two passes for nine yards and had another gain wiped out by a penalty before missing a tackle on fellow rookie Kaleb Johnson early in the game. While some fans felt a bit underwhelmed by Hunter's performance, his coach Liam Coen liked a lot of what he saw from the No. 2 pick in his limited preseason action — even if he still has to go back and watch the tape before giving his full analysis. "He made a couple good catches on some option routes and missed the one tackle defensively that I noticed," Coen said after the game. "I'll have to watch the tape on how he operated defensively a little bit more, but I thought offensively, he made the right decisions on those option routes." "Made a good catch, almost broke out of that one where Trevor [Lawrence] put it behind him on that third down we talked about, but I'll have to go watch the tape a little bit more to know more." Hunter admitted that he was feeling the nerves a bit before kickoff but is glad that he got his first NFL experience out of the way and that he knows what he has to clean up for the next game. "I was a little nervous at first," Hunter said. "But after the first play, I was good. ... We can flush it [the missed tackle] right away and just get back to business. I know what I've got to do next time." Most of Hunter's on-field work during training camp has come on the offensive side, while the majority of his defensive reps have been mental outside of 11-on-11 work. Deion Sanders Rejected Son's Gift After First NFL Preseason Game

Deion Sanders Rejected Son's Gift After First NFL Preseason Game originally appeared on The Spun. That's some tough love. When your dad is arguably the greatest athlete in the history of professional sports, the standard is a bit higher than just appearing in a preseason game. After making his NFL debut this weekend with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Deion Sanders' son Shilo attempted to give his dad his first jersey but the Hall of Famer reportedly said he didn't want it. "He doesn't want it," Shilo laughed. "He expects like 30 times more. He didn't want that jersey, I'm gonna give it to my mom though. ... I gotta get like three picks or something for him to want that." Fans reacted to Coach Prime turning down his third-born child on social media. "Shedeur getting the pressure from the world….Shilo gets the pressure from home…gotta ball out playin pop's position on the field…can't have a sanders blowing coverages on the highlights…I'm rooting for this kid 🤝🏽" a user said. "I called my parents this morning and told them I now realize that I was the product of gentle parenting 😂😂😂" ESPN's Jenna Laine cried. "This is COLD." "I can't explain it but bro is so likable," a fan replied. "Hope he ends up being great." "Gotta love Shilo! 🤣" Ramon Foster commented. "His middle child tendencies show up often tho 🤣." "it shouldn't be that hard to make your own father proud lmao. his dad sounds like a dick if this story is true," another person posted. "I know he's laughing but he's being deadass serious 😭" another user pointed out. "I love the Sanders boys. They're well raised. I hope Shilo does great in Tampa!" another fan exclaimed. "Shilo seems so cool & self aware but also still sure of himself. He might have a hard time makin the roster… but I still remember when Shedeur threw that pick & Shilo doubled back with a Pick 6 of his own that next possession. I believe in him." Deion clearly expects a lot from his boys and that was evident after his other son Shedeur's impressive preseason performance as well. The Browns QB went 14-of-23 for 138 yards and two touchdowns in Cleveland's exhibition win. But after the game the former Colorado star said: "Did I play up to par? No, I don't feel like I did. But overall, the main goal was to win, and that's honestly what we did."
