Punter lands life-changing sum after placing £6 bet on four horses

A lucky punter turned a £6 bet into a cool £23,715.15 after landing the touch of a lifetime over the weekend.
William Hill are reeling after a £6 each-way four-fold on Saturday's action from Haydock emptied their pockets.
The bet got off to the perfect start when Danny Tudhope steered 6/1 shot Stressfree to win the opening race by a neck.
This was quickly followed by Kodi Lion scoring at 7/1 to make it two from two for the punter.
There was then a couple of hours' wait before the brilliantly-named Oolong Poobong obliged at odds of 6/1 in the 4.08 race.
The punter had taken 6/1 about Organ in the finale when placing the bet, but having opted in to William Hill's Best Odds Guaranteed concession, they received 9/1 instead, which saw their winnings boosted by £7,097.82 when the horse fully won the final leg of the bet.
William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps said: 'There's nothing like turning £12 into five figures after landing a multiple on a Saturday afternoon's racing, and this punter has done just that in style. All four picks went in without a hiccup at Haydock and they've walked away with a cracking payout of £23,715.15.
'And that's not all either, as thanks to having opted in to William Hill's Best Odds Guaranteed concession, the punter received a bigger price on their final pick than they'd taken when placing the bet, increasing their winnings by more than £7,000! It just goes to show what Best Odds Guaranteed can do and we take our hats off to this punter for landing this memorable bet.'

Horse racing tips: ‘There's a huge performance in him' – Templegate's 10-3 NAP poised for a big one

TEMPLEGATE takes on Thursday's racing confident of banging in some winners. Back a horse by clicking their odds below. BLUE DAY (Haydock 3.47, nap) The Harry Charlton-trained sprinter relished the drop back to five furlongs when winning with plenty in hand at Ascot last month. A 6lb rise is unlikely to anchor him and he gave the impression there was an even bigger performance in him. He's drawn on the wing of the field in stall one but Hector Crouch rides this track well and should be able to drop in early and get a perfect tow into the race. MISS JUSTICE (6.00 Wolverhampton, nb) Clocked a fast time when runner-up to a potential group performer over track and trip last month. She sets a very good standard the others have to reach. HANDLETHEKETTLE (2.05 Ffos Las, treble) He enjoyed a nice confidence boost over hurdles at Taunton and has the scope to do even better over fences. Lucky punter scoops more than €26,000 as 12 month long 10-fold bet lands

A lucky punter's bet has come good, earning them more than €26,000 almost a year on from the bet being placed. Arsenal's victory at the weekend over Newcastle, which secured them a place in next season's Champions League, was the final piece of the puzzle for the punter, who had taken out the 10-fold accumulator on June 3rd last year. The bet included a multitude of sports such as Darts, football and horse racing, and 50 weeks later it has landed the unnamed William Hill customer a staggering amount of money. The winning run began on the 3rd of June last year, the day the bet was placed, with Bowman (8/13) placing at Ayr, Noisy Music (13/8) winning at Windsor and Apeeling (11/4) hitting the frame later on the same Windsor card. That was followed by England (3/10) beating Bosnia in a friendly that same evening, and over 10 days later Germany (1/4) defeating Scotland in the opening contest of Euro 2024. With five legs of their acca completed, the punter then had to wait until the first few days of 2025 and Luke Litter's (3/1) success at the PDC World Darts Championship. The last month saw their bet completed by Burnley (2/1) and Birmingham (10/11) securing promotion, Chesterfield (4/5) scraping into the top seven in League Two before Arsenal (1/6) claimed a top four spot in the Premier League to complete the set. The 10 correct selections returned £22,082 (€26,127.42) from a £20 (€23.75) stake. Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: 'We see a lot of big winning bets, but it's rare to see anything quite like this! Both the duration of the bet and range of sports included makes this £20 10-fold an extraordinary wager and we have to tip our hat to this punter after they landed a cool £22k. 'There must have been times of concern, with Apeeling all out to repel two challengers at Windsor and Chesterfield needing to win on the final day of the League 2 season to secure seventh place, but the last few week's must have been more relaxed, with Arsenal's place in the top four all but secured.'
