#SHOWBIZ: Hot night at TV3's AMT 2025
DESPITE suffering a wardrobe malfunction and having to rush from the airport, actress and singer Daiyan Trisha said her efforts were worth it after she scooped the Ultimate Award and the Selebriti Stailo Terhangat award at the recent Anugerah Melodi Terhangat 2025. The Ultimate Award honours the year's most influential public figure based on their positive impact, viral moments, and public engagement across social and digital platforms. "My fans had been voting every day, so this win is for them," she said when met after the show. "I'm very happy to also win the Selebriti Stailo Terhangat category. I take my appearance and style very seriously. I do get tired of having to look like this all the time, though. For instance, today I had just arrived from Bangkok," she added. Daiyan explained that her attendance was also to show appreciation for her fans' efforts and hoped it would add to the evening's excitement. "I truly appreciate the fans who voted diligently. They don't care about the controversy surrounding me. They understand. I'm used to the criticisms by now. "I accept and understand them because that's what you have to face as a public figure. I'm human. I've learnt to put these criticisms aside and focus on my career," she said. Daiyan's win came after a competitive year where she and other celebrities, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and content creators were challenged to create the most creative video featuring the new Proton X50 model — a campaign that played a key role in the outcome. AMT2025 celebrated not only entertainment excellence but also genuine digital influence, making it a unique awards show in the Malaysian entertainment landscape. Other winners AMT2025 also left sweet memories for actress Sophia Albarakbah when she won the Selebriti Feminin Terhangat award. "I saw the other candidates, and it was just 'wow'. I didn't expect to win," she said. Meanwhile, it was no surprise that Fattah Amin, whose popularity has surged in recent months, garnered Selebriti Maskulin Terhangat award. "I'm grateful to the fans who voted for me. All the other nominees, whom I consider brothers, are also great personalities," he said. Despite fierce competition from other nominees in the Selebriti Muzik Paling Onz & Terhangat category, Khai Bahar proved he is still the "reigning king" among music fans. "I'm touched by the determination of the fans who voted for me. It's a sign that people still remember me and my career. That's what I want to emphasise. Without the fans, I'm nobody," he said. Amid the excitement of young artistes winning awards, industry veteran Datuk Rosyam Nor was presented with Selebriti Viral Terhangat Award, for which he was the sole nominee. "I was actually surprised because this was a special award given by TV3 for my appearance in the drama 'Keluarga Itu'. Thank you to TV3 for giving me the opportunity after a long time of not appearing in a drama series. "When Erma Fatima offered it, I thought the story and my character were too heavy. But when Erma told me this was our responsibility as actors, I accepted it. "I knew it would create quite a stir among TV viewers and it did become viral. My character was very much hated and criticised," he said. According to him, it was halfway through the drama that the audience finally understood the message. "Fans couldn't accept it at first, but in the end, they said what I did was right. It was a success in my acting career, which received 1.2 billion comments (on platform X) and was watched by 11 million people on TV3. "This is huge, considering an actor my age. Nowadays, it's really important for an actor to go viral on social media," he said, admitting that he once felt a similar response when he acted in the film 'KL Gangster 2' 15 years ago. Other winners included Bella Astillah and Syed Saddiq, who were awarded the Selebriti Couple Goals Terhangat Award, staying true to fan predictions. The duo, affectionately dubbed "BASS" by fans, captured the public's attention with their potent chemistry both online and in person. Meanwhile, Che Puan Sarimah Ibrahim won the Selebriti Drama Sangat Terhangat Award, acknowledging her captivating comeback on screen. Siti Saleha was honoured with the Selebriti Ikon Terhangat Award, and Zarif Ghazzi, a breakout star, was crowned Selebriti Newcomer Terhangat. Hot FM radio presenter Keymi was named the winner of the Proton X50 Superstar Choice Award, which came with the vehicle itself and a trophy. The Tonton Original Terhangat category, which highlighted original series or movies aired between January 2024 and June 2025, went to the acclaimed drama 'Bru'. Special performances from the likes of Ella, Anuar Zain, Marsha Milan, Hael Husaini, DeFam, KOI, Iman Troye, Ara Johari, and Indonesian artiste Fajar Noor entertained the audience. Held at the Putra Hall in the Putrajaya International Convention Centre, the award ceremony, hosted by Ain Edruce and Fikry Ibrahim, was broadcast live on TV3 and streamed exclusively on Tonton.

Malaysia's 'it' couple, Bella Astillah and Syed Saddiq, are also the star-twosome after being awarded the 'hottest duo' title at Melodi Awards
It was certainly the most attention-grabbing moment at the Anugerah Melodi Terhangat 2025 (AMT2025), which was held in the city recently. It was even the moment, all the fans at the event were waiting for. Malaysia's hottest couple have just confirmed their relationship openly. The applause was thunderous when star stinger Bella Astillah and Muar Member of Parliament Syed Saddiq were crowned the winners of the 'Hottest Celebrity Couple Goals' at the AMT 2025 event. Syed Saddiq, 32, and Bella, 31, sparked romance rumours earlier in 2025 after appearing together in a Hari Raya Aidilfitri campaign for a Malaysian fashion label. He was also photographed accompanying Bella at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in March as she prepared to perform the umrah minor pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. Nicknamed the 'BASS couple' by the Malaysian celebrity fans and press, this was Bella and Syed Saddiq's first major public appearance in a celebrity event. This is also the hot couple's first win together as a couple, but also their first official appearance on television. From the moment they walked in together on the red carpet to appearing on stage as the award presenter, the BASS aura was felt throughout the event. It also looked like the couple were clearly announcing to all in the country on their relationship as the celebrity duo also arrived for the event with both their parents. When they were announced as winners at the show, the fans also went wild in support of the duo, and many well-wishers also congratulated them for winning the award. "Many, many thanks to Melodi and the TV3 station. I know many people must feel that there may be someone more deserving of winning the award, but I consider this a blessing and I am very grateful. Thank you to everyone who voted; without you, we would not be on this stage. I hope you take it well," said Bella while smiling at Syed Saddiq. The well-known and popular politician chuckled and said, "I am just a supporting actor beside Bella. But seriously, she's an exceptional lady. A superwoman and iron lady, and I am proud to be on the same stage with her." Social media also exploded when the couple was announced winners of the awards, as thousands of well-wishers hoped only for the best for the couple and many said they cannot wait for the big-day announcement. He served as the Minister of Youth and Sports in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) administration under former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad from July 2018 to the collapse of the PH administration in February 2020, thus making him the youngest federal minister in Malaysian history. Syed Saddiq is a founding member of the Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (MUDA) and served as its 1st President from September 2020 until November 2023.
