KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Adira Suhaimi is continuing to show her support for fellow artiste Bella Astillah following a recent incident at Anugerah Melodi Terhangat 2025 (AMT 2025).
Adira, 33, considers Bella, 31, to be like a sister.
She told Harian Metro that the two remain close and communicate regularly on WhatsApp.
"I messaged her yesterday to offer my encouragement. If she's happy, I'm happy. If she's down, I feel it too. All I can do is pray for the best for her," Adira was quoted as saying.
When asked about the incident at AMT 2025 involving Bella and actress Sophia Albarakbah, Adira chose not to comment.
She said that she prefers to not get involved but always wishes Bella happiness.
Adira also expressed her joy over Bella's rumoured relationship with Syed Saddiq, saying: "I just want to see her happy. I even smile when I watch her videos."

She hopes he stays strong and continues with his music career.
"His voice is a gift. Not everyone has that talent. I hope he keeps going," she said.

Meanwhile, Adira is scheduled to perform at Festival Tentang Cinta on Aug 9 at the Sabah International Convention Centre.
She will be sharing the stage with Hael Husaini, Ara Johari, Marygrace, and Indonesian singers Andmesh and Ziva Magnolya.
"This is more than just a show; it's like coming home. I want the audience to feel my sincerity on stage," said the artiste, who is originally from Ranau, Sabah.

Ara Johari's MPV purchase not a 'flex'

Ara Johari denies claims that she recently bought a luxury multipurpose vehicle (MPV) just to show off. The 'Menjaga Jodoh Orang Lain' singer says the MPV was purchased to travel in comfort for performances. In fact, Ara clarified, the vehicle was financed through a bank, not purchased outright. "It is a necessity for someone who travels as much as I do... sometimes to Johor, Penang and so on," she says. "So, I need a comfortable vehicle, not just for myself but for my team as well. The MPV is great for long journeys, no more body aches." "I used to rent an MPV every time I travelled out of the district. "When I thought about it, it made more sense to buy my own as the monthly cost is more or less the same. She was speaking during a rehearsal for the Festival Tentang Cinta concert. The concert, which also features Hael Hussaini, Adira Suhaimi, Ziva Magnolia, Andmesh and Mary Grace, will take place at the Sabah International Convention Centre in Kota Kinabalu this Sunday. Ara adds that she isn't a fan of spending money carelessly. "I have a financial officer who is very strict about spending. I get a fixed monthly salary like everyone else. "Payment for a show can't be used as I wish, it all goes into the company account," she says, stressing that she is not a "shopaholic".
