All royal blue throwback jersey dates announced by Seahawks
Over the weekend the Seattle Seahawks announced which games during this upcoming season will mark the return of their beloved royal blue throwback uniforms. The team already announced these special alternate threads would make their 2025 debut in Week 5 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers - who will also be wearing their all-white throwback uniform, making it a dual throwback game for both teams. Now we know what other weeks the Seahawks will be donning the royal blues, and it turns out the home showdown against Tampa won't be the only double throwback game Seattle will participate in this year. According to the Seahawks' own Twitter account, here is the full slate of games that will feature the team's classic look: The Washington Commanders also unveiled a white throwback jersey, which they will be wearing during the SNF clash against the Seahawks. Seattle is now able to wear their throwback uniform three times this year due to a change in the NFL's uniform policy. Under the old policy, teams were only allowed to wear throwback/alternate uniforms up to three times in a season. The Seahawks opted to wear their throwbacks twice in 2024, and their Action Green alternates once. Now the policy allows the usage of throwbacks and/or alternates up to four times, and it's clear Seattle is taking this opportunity to wear the royal blues in an extra game. However, with the Commanders opting to wear white at home and with the other two games with throwbacks being at home, this likely sinks the rumors of the Seahawks revealing their own road white throwback alternate.

Seahawks jersey at Tour de France for second week- this time, an action green Wagner
The viral Seattle Seahawks fan running alongside the Tour de France on Friday was spotted again today. Sleeper Seahawks was first on the coverage again at 7:36am. Last week, a man went viral for wearing a custom Seahawks jersey of reigning Tour champ Tadej Pogacar and a football helmet with massive antlers. Today, he showed up on the broadcast again, sporting his signature yellow helmet and what appears to be a #54 Action Green Bobby Wagner jersey. The broadcast got an even better look at him this time than last week, when we only saw the jersey and helmet from a camera behind him. His second sighting brought a full, panning aerial view of him running up the mountain (or, as cyclists say, making the 'climb') alongside the Tour riders. It's hard to overstate how gigantic those antlers truly are, as they take up almost as much space as he does. It's also impressive he chooses to try and run with the riders, let alone with such a signature outfit. This camera angle thickens the plot even further! What last week seemed like an awesome one-time coincidence has become a semi-viral news story among Seahawk Nation for consecutive weeks. At the time of this writing, Sleeper Seahawks' original tweet of the fan wearing a Seahawks Jersey of reigning Tour Champion Tadej Pogacar has 81.6k Views, but their tweet today has already racked up 61.5k Views in just under 12 hours. This afternoon, Fanatics even chimed in. They quote tweeted Sleeper Seahawks post, asking the internet to help them find the mystery Seahawks fan at the Tour de France. Seahawks rumored to unveil white throwback jerseys for 2025
There is a particularly exciting rumor floating around the internet lately, and it involves the Seattle Seahawks. A rumor that, if true, would be tantamount to an answered prayer for many 12's out there. According to an interesting repot from the Seahawks are reportedly planning to unveil a white road version of their beloved throwback jersey. This season is the 50th anniversary for the Seattle Seahawks. It feels only fitting to truly throw it back to the beginnings of the franchise with a complete set of their original uniforms. While nothing is official (these are purely rumors), that has not stopped talented designers on the internet to mock up what these modern throwbacks might look like... and I must say, fingers crossed this ends up being the reality. Seattle's royal blue throwbacks, which made their return after 22 years, are inarguably one of the best uniforms in all of football. They are beloved by both the 12th Man and fans across the league. It is an undeniably classic and clean look for the Seahawks. It's no surprise there is a sizable portion of the Seattle faithful who would like to see the Seahawks return to this look, or something similar, as their full-time uniform set. If this ends up being a reality, then some questions about how Seattle will be compliant with the NFL's uniform policy comes into play. Currently, the league allows teams only four uniforms: a home uniform, an away uniform, and two alternates. The Seahawks have their royal blue throwbacks and their Action Green uniform as their two alternates. However, Seattle will be getting a fifth option this season as part of Nike's new "Rivalries" initiative. There are a few possibilities that exist. One could be that the white throwback will be the Seahawks' "rivalries" jersey. This seems unlikely, since Nike stated the uniforms will be revealed prior to the first scheduled rivalry game. While late July would technically be "before" I take it as Nike means to unveil them closer to the season. The second possibility, and more likely one in my estimation, is adding an away throwback could signal the end of the line for the Action Green alternates. Personally, I have always loved them, but if the Seahawks want to have a complete modern home/away uniform combo and a throwback home/away combo, then the AG's are the obvious pick for the short straw. As a graduate of Eastern Washington University who got to see Cooper Kupp play college football at the same time I was a student in Cheney, I will fully admit my bias is on display when I say Kupp is arguably the most exciting acquisition the Seattle Seahawks made in free agency. However, I do not believe I am alone when it comes to this level of excitement. It does not matter if you're an Eagle, a Husky, a Cougar or Wildcat, seeing one of the greatest football players the state of Washington return "home" to play for Seattle is something 12's across the Pacific Northwest can truly rejoice with. Week 1 of the regular season is still several months away, but fans got their first glimpse of Kupp in a Seahawks uniform during Seattle's media day. I must say, I agree with the team's official Twitter account by stating the College Navy and Action Green of the Seahawks' home uniform looks great on the MVP of Super Bowl LVI. Kupp signed a three-year deal this offseason worth up to $45 million dollars. Health and durability have become considerable concerns for the former receiving Triple Crown winner, but when he's on the field he is still as productive as ever. In 12 games for the Rams in 2024, Kupp still managed to haul in 67 receptions for 710 yards and six touchdowns. If he can find a way to replicating that kind of output in 2025 it will be a tremendous success for Seattle.
