First look at Cooper Kupp in a Seahawks uniform
Week 1 of the regular season is still several months away, but fans got their first glimpse of Kupp in a Seahawks uniform during Seattle's media day. I must say, I agree with the team's official Twitter account by stating the College Navy and Action Green of the Seahawks' home uniform looks great on the MVP of Super Bowl LVI.
Kupp signed a three-year deal this offseason worth up to $45 million dollars. Health and durability have become considerable concerns for the former receiving Triple Crown winner, but when he's on the field he is still as productive as ever. In 12 games for the Rams in 2024, Kupp still managed to haul in 67 receptions for 710 yards and six touchdowns. If he can find a way to replicating that kind of output in 2025 it will be a tremendous success for Seattle.

The Seahawks will begin the 2025 campaign at home against the San Francisco 49ers in Seattle.

Seahawks to play Sam Darnold, other starters against Chiefs
Last week when the Seattle Seahawks took on the Las Vegas Raiders in the first week of the preseason, nearly all the starters rested. Entering Week 2 of the preseason, that will change. When head coach Mike Macdonald was asked if starters will play this Friday against the Kansas City Chiefs, Macdonald stated, 'There might be a couple of guys that will vary based on whether they get out there or not. We're still working through it right now, but, our guys are going to start the game out. We'll see how long it goes.' Macdonald further mentioned that Sam Darnold and the offense as a whole will get playing time against Kansas City, indicating that even though it's not a necessity, 'it's the best thing for us.' Notably, in last week's tie versus the Raiders, there were only a few non-rookie starters/key contributors who saw playing time: Abe Lucas, Anthony Bradford, and Josh Jobe, of whom Bradford and Jobe are in camp battles at their respective positions. Listening to what coach Macdonald had to say, the dozens of other starters, notably Sam Darnold and the rest of the offense, seem to be in store for at least one or two drives on Friday night. This is not atypical for preseason Week 2 in today's NFL. The Chiefs, however, are breaking from their usual pattern under Andy Reid and are likely to rest starters (including Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce) against the Seahawks. With that, if there is any tell as to what the 2025 Seahawks may look like this season, this Friday night against the Chiefs may be the closest Seahawks' fans will get until the regular season.

Seahawks plan to play starters, if only briefly, Friday night
The Seahawks haven't seen Sam Darnold on the field in game action yet. That looks like it will change Friday. Coach Mike Macdonald said the plan is to play the starters against the Chiefs. "Might be a couple of guys that will vary based on whether they get out there or not. We're still kind of working through it right now for guys who are going to sit the game out," Macdonald said, via video from Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times. It's not clear how long the starters will play but at least a series. "I don't think we need to, but I think it's the best thing for us," Macdonald said. Geno Smith, the starting quarterback for the Seahawks last season, did not play until the third preseason game. He saw five snaps. The Seahawks rested 30 players in the preseason opener against the Raiders.
