All royal blue throwback jersey dates announced by Seahawks
Now we know what other weeks the Seahawks will be donning the royal blues, and it turns out the home showdown against Tampa won't be the only double throwback game Seattle will participate in this year. According to the Seahawks' own Twitter account, here is the full slate of games that will feature the team's classic look:
The Washington Commanders also unveiled a white throwback jersey, which they will be wearing during the SNF clash against the Seahawks.
Seattle is now able to wear their throwback uniform three times this year due to a change in the NFL's uniform policy. Under the old policy, teams were only allowed to wear throwback/alternate uniforms up to three times in a season. The Seahawks opted to wear their throwbacks twice in 2024, and their Action Green alternates once. Now the policy allows the usage of throwbacks and/or alternates up to four times, and it's clear Seattle is taking this opportunity to wear the royal blues in an extra game.
However, with the Commanders opting to wear white at home and with the other two games with throwbacks being at home, this likely sinks the rumors of the Seahawks revealing their own road white throwback alternate.

Joaquín Pereyra, Dayne St. Clair lead Minnesota United over Sounders 1-0 in West showdown
Joaquín Pereyra scored in the second half and Dayne St. Clair made it stand up as Minnesota United finished off a season sweep of the Seattle Sounders with a 1-0 victory on Saturday night. Pereyra netted his third goal of the season, scoring unassisted in the 73rd minute to help Minnesota United (13-6-8) end the Sounders' seven-match unbeaten run. Minnesota United beat the Sounders 3-2 in Seattle in early June. St. Clair finished with four saves for his ninth clean sheet of the season. He saved a shot by Álex Roldán in the 80th minute to preserve the shutout. Stefan Frei had two saves for the Sounders (11-7-8), both in the scoreless first half. Minnesota United was coming off a 2-1 home loss to the Colorado Rapids and still hasn't lost two straight in league play this season. Seattle saw a 4-0-3 unbeaten run end in a match where a win would have moved the Sounders ahead of third-place Minnesota United in the Western Conference. Instead, Minnesota United moves into second place — two points behind San Diego FC in its debut season. Seattle leads the all-time series 14-3-2. Minnesota United travels to play Real Salt Lake on Saturday. The Sounders will host Sporting KC on Sunday.

Post-game live stream: Key takeaways and thoughts from Seahawks 33, Chiefs 16
The Seattle Seahawks ran roughshod over the Kansas City Chiefs, racking up 268 yards on the ground and 477 overall in a convincing (well, as convincing as preseason can be) 33-16 win on Friday night at Lumen Field. A lively crowd braved the rainy, breezy conditions and were undoubtedly encouraged by what they saw on the offensive side of the ball. The defense shut the Chiefs offense down after the early portion of the second quarter, but that was a decidedly distant part of the main story. We're plenty hyped about the Seahawks defense and what they could do in 2025, but the offense has shown a lot of promise through two exhibition games. Myself and HawksZone Rundown podcast host Bryce Coutts are coming to you live from, uh, our respective homes to give you our day-after thoughts and observations on the game, the roster, and much more. This is going to be a regular feature (whether with me, Bryce and Ryan MacMillan, etc.) for Seahawks games on Field Gulls this season, and there will be another special collaboration with myself, Bryce, Brandon Cain of The Hawk's Nest, and Dan Viens from Seahawks Forever very soon. We'll have a separate article on that next week! You can catch this episode of HawksZone Rundown at 6 pm PT and join the live chat or just watch the replay on-demand! Live Stream/Video

McLean wins major league debut, boosts struggling Mets to 3-1 victory over Mariners
Nolan McLean provided the struggling Mets a much-needed lift on Saturday, tossing 5 1/3 scoreless innings in his major league debut as New York beat the Seattle Mariners 3-1. McLean (1-0) allowed two hits with four walks and struck out eight to help lift the Mets to just their third win in their last 17 games. The 24-year-old right-hander, a 2023 draft pick out of Oklahoma State, showed off a five-pitch arsenal that included a high-70s curveball, a high-80s sweeper, a 90-mph cutter and sinkers and fastballs measured in the high 90s. The crowd gave him three standing ovations — first when he walked off the mound in the sixth and again when he was pictured on the scoreboard prior to the seventh and ninth innings. Francisco Lindor had an RBI double in the third before the Mets added insurance in the seventh, when Juan Soto had a sacrifice fly and Pete Alonso hit a run-scoring double. Alonso now has 100 RBIs, the fourth time in his career he's reached the century mark. Edwin Díaz gave up Eugenio Suárez's ninth-inning homer but got the final six outs for his 24th save. Bryan Woo (10-7) gave up one run over six innings — the 24th time in as many starts this season he's lasted at least six frames. McLean got out of a bases-loaded jam in the third when he made a backhanded grab of Julio Rodríguez's comebacker and whirled to second to start the inning-ending 1-4-3 double play. McLean is the seventh Mets pitcher to throw at least five scoreless innings in his big league debut and the first since Zack Wheeler on June 18, 2013. The teams head to Williamsport, Pennsylvania for the MLB Little League Classic on Sunday night, when RHP Clay Holmes (9-6, 3.71 ERA) starts for the Mets against Mariners RHP George Kirby (8-5, 3.71).
