All Hands Cultural Community Center presented with a $5,000 check

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — Thanks to the Wichita County Action Network, All Hands Cultural Community Center officials can continue empowering the community's youth. George Senn, president of the Wichita County Action Network, presented All Hands officials with a $5,000 check on Thursday, April 3. Wichita Falls Housing Authority hosts early childhood fair for families Chief Operating Officer Ronnie Williams said this would be vital for summer programs like Green Paradise Garden. He said it will also help partnerships with United Regional and WFISD to provide education on medical emergencies and different classes. Williams said this ensures that children can utilize these services throughout the summer. 'This is a different organization in a different place. We're on the ground work with our kids in our community, and the way we teach them is totally different in other ways. So this check will give us an opportunity to provide more services and try to close the gaps with the problem that they're having in our community,' Williams said. Williams said that last year, they had about 120 kids sign up for their summer program. If that's something you'd be interested in doing for your kiddos, click here. ‘Safe haven' for the youth seeks to reach $30K by March

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — One local organization is looking to reach a goal to help better the lives of kids in the area so they will have brighter futures. The All Hands Cultural Community Center is seeking to fulfill a goal of $30,000, which will all go toward scholarships for children who may not have the resources to enroll in their life-success programs. Get hands on learning with RBNC's Spring Break Camp Some of the programs the AHCCC provides are especially great during the summer, including arts and crafts, life skills training, cosmetology training, and gardening. The youth drive started on Feb. 18 and will end on March 18. The AHCCC said they have reached about one-third of that goal, which helps them keep the doors open to the programs and center so it can keep being a safe haven for the youth. They are raising this money and have these programs so kids can be better citizens, be better in school, and be motivated for life success. They want kids to recognize their full potential.
