While out and about on the 34-show trek, the 58-year-old Brooklyn native is slated to make a number of stops in the Tri-State. Early in the run, the 2023 Mark Twain Prize for American Humor winner brings his live stage show to New York City's Madison Square Garden on Monday, Sept. 15. Then, he'll deliver his trademark musical comedy at Albany's MVP Arena on Tuesday, Sept. 16, Syracuse's Upstate Medical Arena on Wednesday, Sept. 17 and Buffalo's KeyBank Center on Sunday, Sept. 21. 'Let's have some fun,' the stand-up/actor/singer shared on Instagram. 'Was this an often rude, crude display of a live Peter Pan Complex with ditzy inappropriate childishness, of c-words and peed pants? Yes,' Variety asked in a review of one of his 2022 shows. 'The Sandman is silly, but also with a wizened mix of emotion, intelligence, reminiscence, currency and pop culturalism. And d– jokes.' Plus, as an added bonus, keep in mind that you never know who's going to pop up onstage with the beloved 'SNL' alum. At past shows of his, Chris Rock, David Spade, Kevin James, Woody Harrelson and Judd Apatow have all dropped by to join in on the fun. While no special guests are guaranteed for this forthcoming run, the best way to find out what tricks Sandler has up his sleeve for this tour is live and not the next day in the newspaper. Want to be there? For more information, our team has everything you need to know and more about Adam Sandler's 2025 'You're My Best Friend Tour' below. Adam Sandler tour schedule 2025 A complete calendar including all tour dates, venues and links to buy tickets can be found here. Adam Sandler comedy specials Never seen the 'Punch Drunk Love' star deliver punchlines rather than rule the silver screen? In that case, we recommend seeking out his albums and specials. Here's how you can find them: They're All Gonna Laugh at You! At the event, he was honored by past collaborators like Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Chris Rock, Conan O'Brien, Steve Buscemi and many more. To take a look back, you can find clips from the supremely silly, one-night-only extravaganza here. Adam Sandler past opening acts At each and every show on his 2022-23 jaunt, Sandler promised surprise guests. After combing through our records, we've found out just who most of these secretive stars have been via Instagram, Reddit and Spotify. Without further ado, here's everyone we've spotted performing with Sandler on tour since 2022: Chris Rock ('The Week Of') Kevin James ('I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry') Woody Harrelson ('Anger Management') Bobcat Goldthwait ('Shakes The Clown) Rob Schneider ('The Waterboy') Judd Apatow ('Funny People') Nick Swardson ('Just Go With It') David Spade ('Grown Ups') Dan Patrick ('Hubie Halloween') Sarah Sherman ('Saturday Night Live') No word yet on who will take the stage with Sandler at his upcoming gigs but any of the above — and maybe even 'Happy Gilmore 2' co-star Bad Bunny — are certainly possible candidates. Adam Sandler upcoming projects The mighty Sandman always has a few irons in the fire. Here's what's coming next for the prolific comedian, courtesy of IMDb. Jay Kelly is a return to the goofball's serious side. Noah Baumbach writes and directs this film (yes, film!) about Jay Kelly who 'everyone knows' but he 'doesn't know himself.' George Clooney, Laura Dern, Greta Gerwig, Isla Fisher and Patrick Wilson round out the A-List ensemble. Untitled Adam Sandler/Safdie Brothers project has been teased for years following the woulda been awards season powerhouse 'Uncut Gems.' The reported logline of this one — which would allegedly co-star Steve Harvey and Megan Thee Stallion — is 'set in the world of high-end sports card collecting in the 1990s, a retired baseball pitcher attempts a comeback as a sports memorabilia agent attempts to capitalize on his success.' Other comedians on tour in 2025 If you've made it this far, we have a hunch that you like comedy as much as we do. If so, here are just five of the biggest comedy tours we've been anxiously awaiting this year. • Steve Martin and Martin Short • John Mulaney • Jerry Seinfeld • Bill Murray • Weird Al Want even more? Check out our list of the 175 biggest comedians on tour in 2025 to find the show that makes the most sense for you. Also, make sure to take a look at our roundup of every single 'SNL' cast member from the show's history that's on the road this year as well. The Atlantic Hires Alexandra Petri as Staff Writer

Alexandra Petri, one of America's great columnists and funniest writers, is joining The Atlantic as a staff writer. Alexandra will begin writing for The Atlantic next month; she has been a long-time columnist for The Washington Post, where she started as an intern in 2010. Below is the staff announcement about Alexandra from editor in chief Jeffrey Goldberg: Dear everyone, I'm writing today to share the outstanding news that Alexandra Petri, one of America's greatest columnists – and funniest writers – is joining The Atlantic as a staff writer. You are undoubtedly familiar with her work as a columnist for The Washington Post (although you may have seen her writing in McSweeneys, The New Yorker, or other publications), and I'm beyond thrilled that she is coming aboard. Alexandra is brilliant and hilarious, wildly creative and adventurous. Her columns for The Post have been the favorites of readers for years. No one cuts to the heart of the matter faster or more incisively than Alexandra. And even those among us who don't laugh out loud as they read columns laugh out loud while reading hers. Alexandra appears to believe that no experience should be left unexperienced, which is why she entered and performed in an international whistling competition without actually knowing how to whistle. Then there was the time she made what was later described as the 'worst final Jeopardy! wager of all time.' She somewhat recently achieved her lifelong dream of being a talking head in a documentary about our 23rd president, Benjamin Harrison. Alexandra is the winner of the 2025 Thurber Prize for American Humor—for her book, AP's US History: Important American Documents I Made Up. She also received an award for her parody Twitter account (Emo Kylo Ren). And she is an O. Henry International pun-off champion (You can watch her winning performance here). Alexandra begins with us next month. I can't wait for all of you to meet her, and I can't wait to read her. Please join me in welcoming Alexandra to The Atlantic. Best wishes, Jeff The Atlantic has announced a number of new hires this year as part of a major editorial expansion, including managing editor Griff Witte; staff writers Isaac Stanley-Becker, Tyler Austin Harper, Nick Miroff, Ashley Parker, Missy Ryan, Michael Scherer, Jamie Thompson, Josh Tyrangiel, and Caity Weaver; senior editors Jenna Johnson and Dan Zak; and contributing writers Jonathan Lemire and Alex Reisner. Please reach out with any questions or requests. Press Contacts: Anna Bross and Paul Jackson, The Atlantic | press@ Article originally published at The Atlantic

The Guide: Kevin Hart, Twenty One Pilots, Cork Fringe Festival and other events to see, shows to book and ones to catch before they end

Event of the week Kevin Hart Saturday, May 3rd, and Sunday, May 4th, SSE Arena, Belfast, 8pm, £128/£73; Tuesday, May 6th, 3Arena, Dublin, 7.30pm, €88.25/€72.70, From being booed off stage in his native Philadelphia in the late 1990s to becoming one of the most bankable names in comedy – he has sold millions of tickets to his stand-up shows over the past 25 years or so, not to mention becoming a familiar face in Hollywood movies – Kevin Hart has had quite the career trajectory. The comic, production-company founder, actor, awards host, singer, author and reality-television star manages to keep a whole pressful of plates spinning. At the centre of his Acting My Age tour, says Hart – who last year added the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor to his awards cabinet – are some deeply personal stories. Gigs Hayden Thorpe & Propellor Ensemble Wednesday, May 7th, Deer's Head Music Hall, Belfast, 8pm, £15, Thursday, May 8th, Grand Social, Dublin, 8pm, €23.65, Hayden Thorpe. Photograph: Eeva Rinne Living in the bucolic setting of the Lake District, in northwest England, had a clear influence on Ness, the most recent album from Hayden Thorpe, the former lead singer of Wild Beasts. It's a musical reading of Robert Macfarlane's prose poem of the same name, from 2019, which was inspired by the landscape and history of Orford Ness, a former missile testing site on the Suffolk coast. Thorpe arrives in Ireland with a slimmer version of the boundary-breaking Propeller Ensemble. Twenty One Pilots Thursday, May 8th, SSE Arena, Belfast, 6.30pm, £62.50; Friday, May 9th, 3Arena, Dublin, 6.30pm, €61.35, Rock bands rarely interrupt their performances with backflips and other gymnastics, but Twenty One Pilots isn't your average music act. The duo of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun emerged from the Christian rock/rap scene in Ohio, but soon gravitated towards an expansive fusion of rock, rap, electro and pop. The pair arrive in Ireland close to the end of their world tour for last year's studio album, Clancy, which Kerrang! magazine described as creative, colourful and endlessly charismatic. Festivals Baggot Street Blues Festival Saturday-Monday, May 3rd-5th, Star Bar, Dublin, various times, free, The inaugural Baggot Street Blues Festival moves the bank-holiday weekend in the right direction. The festival is free, although QR codes are available throughout the venue for artist donations. READ MORE International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival From Monday, May 5th, until Sunday, May 18th, Teacher's Club, Dublin, various times and prices, Homo(sapien) Since its inception in 2004, International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival has raised awareness of and support for established and developing gay artists and theatrical work. Féasta Ceoil an Spidéil '25 From Thursday, May 8th, until Friday, May 30th, Stiúideo Cuan, Spiddal, Co Galway, various days and times, €25/€22.50, Pádraig Rynne, Tara Breen, Jim Murray Anyone who finds themselves out west in May should visit Stiúideo Cuan, one of Europe's finest recording facilities. In conversation John Boyne Tuesday, May 6th, Pavilion Theatre, Dún Laoghaire, Co Dublin, 8pm, €15, John Boyne Since 2023 the Dublin-based author John Boyne has been publishing novella-length books – Water , Earth , Fire – that, while ostensibly separate, have connected plots and characters. With the imminent publication of Air, about the relationship between a father and his teenage son as they travel thousands of kilometres together towards an uncertain future, Boyne has come to the end of his single-minded and well-received Elements quartet, so there's a lot to discuss. He's in conversation with his fellow author Claire Kilroy (whose 2023 novel, Soldier Sailor , was shortlisted for the Women's Prize for Fiction). Conan O'Brien responds to criticism after Kennedy Center appearance following Trump takeover

Comedian Conan O'Brien responded this week to criticism over his acceptance of the prestigious Mark Twain Award for American Humor last month at the Kennedy Center. President Donald Trump has become the chairman of the Kennedy Center since taking office, in a move that has made the theater a new front for the culture wars and prompted some liberal commentators and performers to announce that they will not attend shows in protest. O'Brien used his acceptance speech to address the Kennedy Center's leadership shake-up following Trump's ascendance to the chairmanship. He also thanked the Kennedy Center's former president Deborah Rutter and chairman David Rubenstein, as well as other staff members "who are worried about what the future might bring." Trump 'Embodies What Being An American Is All About,' Ufc's Dana White Says "Obviously for the last couple of months with the new administration, there's been some controversial stuff going on with the Kennedy Center," O'Brien said in this week's episode of his podcast, "Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend." "There was a question of, 'Should I go? Should I not go?' And I felt like it was important to show up," O'Brien said on his show. Read On The Fox News App "We were brought in under the old regime," he explained, adding that the old leadership of the Kennedy Center is "no longer there but we should honor their decision." Hollywood Takes Shots At Trump While Celebrating Conan O'brien Amid Kennedy Center Shake-up "It was really lovely because the young people working at the Kennedy Center for years were delighted that we came," he said. "They don't know what their future is." Other comedians present at the award ceremony for O'Brien, including Sarah Silverman, took the opportunity to attack Trump several times at the Mark Twain event, specifically citing a 2016 appearance of hers on Conan on TBS where she dressed up as Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. "They wrote a bit where Conan interviews Hitler, who comes on because he's embarrassed that he's being compared to Donald Trump," Silverman said.
