Star Wars actor says the series has ‘gotta give us Battlefront 3 ASAP'

One of Andor's stars has helped bring Star Wars Battlefront back into the spotlight and he's not the only one amongst the cast to be an avid gamer. It's been more than five years since EA wrapped up support for Star Wars Battlefront 2 and while the company has continued to push out new titles for the franchise, it appears to have little interest in making a Battlefront 3. Over the last few weeks, though, Battlefront 2 enjoyed a sudden surge in players, on both PC and consoles, which has prompted some hope that EA will be encouraged to start work on a new sequel. It's not entirely clear what promoted the surge in interest, but it seems to have been a combination of Star Wars Day in early May, the 20th anniversary of Revenge of the Sith (which became the highest-grossing re-release of all time in the US), and the second season of Andor on Disney+. Speaking of which, actor Muhannad Ben Amor, who played the role of Wilmon 'Wil' Paak in Andor, has also expressed his interest in seeing a third entry in the multiplayer shooter series. In the wake of the show's conclusion earlier this month, he took to Instagram to say, 'Star Wars gotta give us Battlefront 3 ASAP.' He also shared a screenshot of his playtime on Battlefront 2, revealing he's spent about 469 hours on the game: 'Been a veteran since day one. Let's hope Battlefront 3 happens!' Considering Amor would have been a young teenager when Battlefront 2 was out (he's roughly 19 or 20 years old and the game launched in 2017), he's clearly in pretty deep. His original posts were Instagram Stories, so they've already automatically deleted themselves, but fans on Reddit were quick to save them as screenshots to spread Amor's comments around. According to SteamDB, Battlefront 2's concurrent player count has reached over 18,600 players, the most it's ever been since the game launched on Steam in 2020. The game has also shot up the best-seller lists on Xbox and PlayStation 5. Mats Helge Holm, who served as associate producer on Battlefront 2's Celebration Edition, has weighed in on the situation, stating on Reddit that there's interest amongst the old team to work on a sequel: '… having heard around my group of ex-colleagues, we want to get the gang back together.' It's not him but the bean counters at EA who get to make that decision, although this wouldn't be the first time a Star Wars actor influenced one of their games. John Boyega, who played Finn in the sequel trilogy of movies, publicly complained about the lack of a single-player campaign in the 2015 Star Wars Battlefront, which led to EA offering him an invitation to its UK studio. EA never publicly said Boyega's comments contributed to the decision to add a campaign mode to Battlefront 2, but it did get one and Boyega agreed to do some marketing for it. Perhaps surprisingly though, Ben Amor is not the only keen gamer amongst the Andor cast. Ben Mendehlson, who played Director Krennic (a role he reprised from Rogue One), has previously expressed his love for the likes of The Last Of Us, Fallout, and the Civilization series. More Trending He was no doubt surprised to discover then, that Andor co-star Denise Gough was the voice of Yennefer in The Witcher 3; a role she admits she forgets she's done sometimes. That suggests that Mendehlson is probably more of a single-player fan, but we get the sense he'd jump at the opportunity to lend his voice to Battlefront 3 if it featured Krennic. As for what Star Wars games EA is working on, its next release is strategy game Star Wars: Zero Company, which has enough similarities to XCOM to make it one of our most anticipated releases of 2026. A third Star Wars Jedi game is also on the cards and will serve as the 'final chapter' of protagonist Cal Ketis' journey – although it's not yet been formally announced. Amor Vittone responds to critics: 'People are so nasty'

Amor Vittone – the widow of Springbok Joost van der Westhuizen – has responded to critics who mocked reports of her recent health scare. The actress and singer was recently hospitalised after a burst appendix. In a Facebook message, Amor Vittone called out a media house for sensationalising her emergency surgery. The 51-year-old recently suffered a burst appendix, which she revealed in a statement on her Facebook page. While her followers sympathised with her health condition, others accused Amor of being 'attention seeking'. Amor said of the commentary: 'I shared it on my social media pages, for my fans and friends who follow. I didnt run to a media house and say you must write on what is going on'. 'I didnt feel good, it put me in a bad mood… It's totally ridiculous.' Addressing her comments, Amor Vittone continued: 'People are so nasty.. the Afrikaans community who attack one another, especially the women. It's terrible to see, every single day. 'I think people should stop hating and start loving. Just spread more love. No one knows what is going on in one another's lives. No one knows what is going on in my heart. 'One little thing may deviate from their plan and take them into a spiral. That's not being human or kind…If you can't say anything nice, just leave it, scroll through it, don't read it, and move on. 'It's so vindictive, it hurts you'. Thank you / Dankie Posted by Amor Vittone on Tuesday 6 May 2025 In an emotional video post in 2022, Amor Vittone shared her frustrations over various challenges she was facing. One was an ongoing court battle over the contents of Joost van der Westhuizen's will, which left her with just a TV. Another was the 'misconception' that she was wealthy. She said at the time: 'It's crazy what people think that because we're on TV and because we sing, that we have it all together. We actually don't. 'We are like every other person. I wake up in the morning and cry. I go to bed at night lonely because I feel lonely.' The mom-of-two revealed that she relied on her parents for their financial support. She continued: 'My mom and dad are the people that I can run to say 'help'.' Sadly, Amor's father has since passed. Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1 . Israeli firefighter battling LA fires says California has similarity to home that could give her advantage

A delegation of Israeli firefighting experts spent a week in California helping American crews combat the Palisades inferno, and one member of the team described the experience as an "honor" and an opportunity to give back. Li-shay Amor, a 34-year-old Israeli firefighter, arrived in Los Angeles last week with a team of other fire experts from her country who worked alongside local units and the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services using "advanced Israeli technology to help contain the fires," the Israeli consulate in Los Angeles said in a statement on X. "It doesn't matter if you live in Los Angeles, if you live in Miami, if you live in Tel Aviv or in Jerusalem. We are all human beings. We need to be together. We need to help each other," Amor told Fox News Digital in an interview. Essential Phone Numbers For Los Angeles-area Residents And How You Can Help Them With just a day's notice, Amor hopped on a 15-hour flight across the world, leaving her three young children behind with her husband because she believed in the importance of helping her "brothers" in America. "You feel that you must do something because …. you see all the damage," she said. "The first thing that you think about is … those people … those citizens that, they've got everything, their houses. And right now, they … have nothing. Everything burned to the ground." "The moment that we arrived over there and that we arrived to the field and to the fires, we met all those firefighters. They opened their mind, and they opened their hearts … to let us in, to explain to us, to hear what we have to say to them … from our knowledge," she explained. "We came with a group … that everyone is an expert. We've got a logistics expert. And we've got someone that is in operation. And we've got someone with expertise in wildfires." Firefighters Battle Laguna Fire Wildfire The Israeli experts were sent to Los Angeles with the assistance of the Emergency Volunteers Project, a nonprofit organization funded by federations and donors and established 16 years ago to aid Israeli citizens and emergency services during times of national emergency, according to its website. "EVP has sent over 180 firefighters, over 250 medical personnel and a few hundred civilians to Israel since the war started. So … given the opportunity to pay back the favor, they kind of jumped right at it," Scott Goldstein, the chief operating officer of disaster relief operations with Emergency Volunteers Project, told Fox News Digital, referring to the Israeli firefighters' willingness to help. "We have a simple mission — save lives," Goldstein previously told Fox News about EVP. President Trump To Visit California To Survey Damage From Wildfires "Those American firefighters … came here to Israel … to help us and to support us," Amor said. "This is my turn to give the same love … like all my American brothers did for us since Oct. 7." When asked about her own work in Los Angeles, Amor praised American firefighters on the ground. "They are so brave," she said emphatically. "They are actually heroes. … They do everything that they can to rescue and to save." Amor repeatedly described the strong communication and collaboration between the Israeli and American firefighters. "The special relationship between America and Israel on display," the House Foreign Affairs Committee Republicans posted on X Saturday. Actress Determined To Rebuild Malibu Home After Fire Both Amor and Goldstein mentioned the significance of the similar landscapes in Israel and California. "The terrain is identical," Goldstein said. "If you go to most places in Israel, it pretty much looks like that area." Amor explained that she grew up in Haifa, where, like in parts of Los Angeles, the location includes mountains, the beach and houses perched between trees. She then described a 2016 fire in Haifa, which forced thousands of people to evacuate their homes and said her "knowledge" from that disaster allowed her to come to Los Angeles "to help and to support." On her long flight home to Israel, Amor reflected on her time volunteering in Los Angeles and the brave people on the ground in LA, fighting and risking their lives every day. "My only thought was, 'Wow, what an amazing world we all live in,'" she said. "What amazing firefighters. What amazing people."Original article source: Israeli firefighter battling LA fires says California has similarity to home that could give her advantage
