Supercross betting, predictions, odds, picks, lines at Pittsburgh: Chase Sexton opened as favorite

For the first time since Round 7 in Arlington, Texas, Chase Sexton opened as the sole favorite to win a Monster Energy Supercross race at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His odds of +170 to win the event are narrowly ahead of Cooper Webb (+175), underscoring the tightness of the championship race between these two riders. Bettors quickly jumped on those lines and skewed them in Webb's direction. As of Friday, Webb was favored at +150 to Sexton's +175. Webb continues to hold the advantage in regard to Championship odds with an opening minus line of -228 to Sexton's +163, but even that shows a shift in momentum. The differential between the two lines was nearly 500 points in the two previous rounds. It shrunk to 442 points for Pittsburgh and that gap will get smaller if Sexton makes up at least another three championship points on Webb in Pittsburgh. During the past few weeks, rain was Sexton's Achilles Heel in New England and the the forecast for Pittsburgh has hovered between rainy conditions during the morning sessions, clearing in the afternoon and evening. Smart Money will want to watch that forecast closely. Webb's weakness has been the whoops sections and last week's pair of them cost him a shot of pressuring Sexton. This week, there is only one half-lane of whoops in Pittsburgh that leads into back-to-back bowl turns. The only other rider with a championship line published this week is Ken Roczen (+4015), but he will need a lot of help in the form of results outside the top 20 for Sexton and Webb to truly contend. Aaron Plessinger's early trouble this season with last-place finishes in San Diego and Anaheim 2 denied him the opportunity to contend for the championship, but he shows the third-best odds of winning this round at +432. He is also the only other rider with minus odds to stand on the podium, although with +103 assigned by Supercross' official line maker, AltSports, early in the week, he was extremely attractive. His podium line has since been adjusted to -175 on the public-facing But there is still a bet to made concerning Plessinger. His outright win line was adjust to +750 and if Sexton and Webb become overly concerned with one another or if weather plays a factor, that is worth some couch cushion money. Justin Cooper remains the best bet among winless riders in 2025. He opened at +2105 and adjusted to +1600 as of Friday. These relatively long lines drug his podium odds to +125, which makes him attractive for a modest bet. Jordon Smith set to return in Seattle Supercross

This week, Jordon Smith returns to action in the Monster Energy Supercross 250 West division at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington. Smith was injured in a crash in the Arlington, Texas, Triple Crown race when he crashed in the whoops, breaking four ribs, puncturing a lung, and suffering a laceration to his spleen. The calendar worked in his favor. Since the series left Arlington four rounds ago, the 250 East riders have hosted two standalone rounds. There has also been an off-week in the schedule, which means Smith missed only the East / West Showdown in Indianapolis, Indiana. 'We are back,' Smith posted on social media. 'Been working hard to get healed and back to race shape in the past 4 weeks. Thanks to all the doctors that had a part in helping me get back on the track, and my whole crew back at home with a special thanks to [Katie Smith] for taking care of Blair and [me]! See you guys in Seattle!' Smith began the season strong with back-to-back podiums in Anaheim 1 and San Diego. He finished fourth in Anaheim 2 and gave Triumph its first victory in his fourth race with the team. Finishing last in the Arlington Triple Crown and missing one round dropped Smith to fifth in the championship standings, 44 points behind leader Haiden Deegan. Supercross 2025 Seattle preview: Top finishes, previous winners, who to watch

The Monster Energy Supercross series' most far-flung market, Seattle, Washington, is set to host its 50th stadium race at Lumen Field with a history that dates back to the late 1970s. In terms of races in a market, Seattle ranks fifth behind Anaheim (85), Detroit (58), Houston (55), and Daytona Beach (52). If Eli Tomac is removed from the record, the past five races in Seattle have been anyone's affair. Tomac won three of those races and stood on the podium in one, but the best another rider has done in that span is score two podiums. Cooper Webb is the defending winner and he finished second in 2023. Jason Anderson stood on the podium in 2022 and 2018. No race was held in the market during the two seasons, 2020 and 2021, impacted by COVID-19. Chase Sexton finished second in Seattle last year, Ken Roczen was second in 2019, and Justin Barcia was third in 2023. Barcia has a victory in the market in 2013, making him and Webb the only two venue winners. No other rider entered this week has stood on the box since 2017. More: Seattle Betting Odds Webb's claim to be the favorite is underscored by a current streak of results sixth or better in the last four rounds held in Seattle. Webb is the odds' favorite this week with a line of +150, but current momentum for Sexton (+180) places the two riders close in the traders' analysis. The season ends with a string of open-air stadiums, which adds to the festival atmosphere of the series. But it also has its drawbacks. As of Thursday, the forecast for Seattle calls for a 90 percent chance of rain on Friday (Press Day) and a 60 percent chance on Saturday, peaking at about 1 p.m. local time and falling off as the evening progresses. Seattle has a history of muddy races, most recently in 2018 when Tomac won, but the past several events have been dry. That may change on Saturday. Webb's podium streak ended at six last week, but he still has he overall advantage this season with seven such finishes to Sexton's and Roczen's six. Webb, Sexton, and Malcolm Stewart are each perfect in regard to top-10s. More: What Riders Said After Birmingham The 250 division is likewise wide open. Jo Shimoda finished third in Seattle last year, and Michael Mosiman was on the podium in 2022, but the remainder of the top riders since 2018 have either moved up to the premier division or the East Coast. The 250 West riders have not raced in a standard-format, standalone round since Anaheim 2. Glendale and Arlington were Triple Crown rounds and Indianapolis was the first of three East / West Showdowns, so that could alter the mathematics this week. Dan Beaver, Seattle will feature a first-time venue winner, but the real question is whether the list of new season winners continues. In the combined coastal divisions, Haiden Deegan is the only repeat winner, and a lot of strength is represented throughout the field this week. A 15-minute feature does not allow riders to make mistakes in the opening laps, and that has been Deegan's Achilles' Heel in his short career. The parity at the front of the field is not the only place where the wealth has been spread. In the first 11 rounds, 32 riders have finished in the top 10; 19 of these racers also have top-fives to their credit. The mud will throw the round wide open. 2025 Top-10 finishers 450s Cooper Webb (3 wins; 7 podiums, 9 top-fives, 10 top-10s) Chase Sexton (3 wins, 6 podiums, 9 top-fives, 10 top-10s) Ken Roczen (1 win, 6 podiums, 8 top-fives, 9 top-10s) Jett Lawrence (1 win, 2 podiums, 2 top-fives, 3 top-10s) Eli Tomac (1 win, 1 podium, 3 top-fives, 4 top-10s) Malcolm Stewart (1 win, 2 podiums, 3 top-fives, 10 top-10s) Jason Anderson (3 podiums, 3 top-fives, 7 top-10s) Aaron Plessinger (2 podiums, 3 top-five, 8 top-10s) Hunter Lawrence (2 podiums, 3 top-fives, 4 top-10s) Justin Cooper (1 podium, 5 top-fives, 8 top-10s) Justin Barcia (1 top-five, 9 top-10s) Justin Hill (1 top-five, 7 top-10s) Dylan Ferrandis (4 top-10s) Joey Savatgy (4 top-10s) Shane McElrath (3 top-10s) Benny Bloss (1 top-10) 250s Haiden Deegan (2 wins, 5 podiums, 6 top-fives, 6 top-10s) Julien Beaumer (1 win, 3 podiums, 4 top-fives, 6 top-10s) Jordon Smith (1 win, 3 podiums, 4 top-fives, 4 top-10s) RJ Hampshire (1 win, 3 podiums, 4 top-fives, 4 top-10s) Seth Hammaker (1 win, 2 podiums, 4 top-fives, 4 top-10s) Max Anstie (1 win, 2 podiums, 2 top-fives, 4 top-10s) Jo Shimoda (1 win, 1 podium, 2 top-fives, 6 top-10s) Levi Kitchen (1 win, 1 podium, 1 top-five, 1 top-10) Nate Thrasher (1 win, 1 podium, 2 top-fives, 4 top-10s) Tom Vialle (3 podiums, 5 top-fives, 5 top-10s) Cole Davies (2 podiums, 4 top-fives, 6 top-10s) Coty Schock (1 podium, 2 top-fives, 5 top-10s) Michael Mosiman (1 podium, 2 top-fives, 4 top-10s) Daxton Bennick (1 podium, 2 top-fives, 3 top-10s) Cameron McAdoo (1 podium, 1 top-five, 1 top-10) Ryder DiFrancesco (2 top-fives, 2 top-10s) Garrett Marchbanks (1 top-five, 4 top-10s) Chance Hymas (1 top-five, 4 top-10s) Maximus Vohland (1 top-five, 4 top-10s) Anthony Bourdon (3 top-10s) Cullin Park (3 top-10s) Hunter Yoder (2 top-10s) Carson Mumford (2 top-10s) Austin Forkner (2 top-10s) Hardy Munoz (2 top-10s) Drew Adams (1 top-10) Parker Ross (1 top-10) Cole Thompson (1 top-10) Levi Kitchen (1 top-10) Henry Miller (1 top-10) Enzo Lopes (1 top-10) Lux Turner (1 top-10) Jett Reynolds (1 top-10) Previous Seattle Winners 450s 2024: Cooper Webb (Followed by Chase Sexton, Jett Lawrence) 2023: Eli Tomac (Cooper Webb, Justin Barcia) 2022: Eli Tomac (Jason Anderson, Marvin Musquin) 2019: Marvin Musquin (Ken Roczen, Eli Tomac) 2018: Eli Tomac (Jason Anderson, Marvin Musquin) 250s 2024: Levi Kitchen (RJ Hampshire, Jo Shimoda) 2023: Jett Lawrence (RJ Hampshire, Cameron McAdoo) 2022: Hunter Lawrence (Christian Craig, Michael Mosiman) 2019: Dylan Ferrandis (Adam Cianciarulo, Jimmy Decotis) 2018: Aaron Plessinger (Chase Sexton, Adam Cianciarulo) Previews Birmingham | Indianapolis | Daytona | Arlington | Detroit | Tampa | Anaheim 2 | San Diego | Anaheim 1 More SuperMotocross News What riders said after Birmingham Birmingham 450 results | 250 results Max Anstie breaks leg in Birmingham qualification Haiden Deegan arrested for street racing Birmingham preview Jalek Swoll renews with Factory Triumph Christian Craig set to return in Birmingham Birmingham betting odds, complete lines Jett Reynolds breaks leg in practice crash A DM led to partnership between Moranz, Champion Tool Catch all the excitement from Supercross' Round 12 in Seattle where Eli Tomac took another victory in the 450 main event.

Coty Schock Reacts to Best Career AMA Finish in Arlington

Sometimes, it's not always the guy on the center step with the biggest celebration. For Coty Schock, Arlington was a night that will stay etched in his memory forever. Schock, 27, put on a display of consistency and focus amid a fog of chaos within Round 5 of the Western Divisional 250SX Class Championship. A second in the first round of the Arlington Triple Crown and a fourth in the second race put him in contention for the overall with a good finish in the third Main Event. Only three competitors had two finishes of fourth or better. Sixth place may not seem like much but after two strong finishes, he held the tiebreaker advantage over Michael Mosiman in the Olympic-style point structure by beating him in the last race. He ended up second overall to secure his first career podium and best AMA career finish in his 10th season of professional competition. Schock had five words to summarize how he felt. 'I want more of it,' said Schock with a chuckle. Schock had one top five finish from Anaheim 2 earlier this season, and two top fives in last year's 250SX East division. He also finished third in the 250SX East championship last year. At the time, Schock admitted he had no idea his pace was in position for the better side of the box. 'No, I didn't know (the battle was also for the overall position),' Schock said, then leaning over the table to look at Mosiman. 'I just knew I wanted to beat him, with all due respect.' 'I knew it was,' Mosiman responded with a grin. That wasn't the only laugh that Schock had to celebrate. 'Being from Delaware, no one's really ever done anything from Delaware,' joked the Dover native. 'Nobody even knows that Delaware's a state, so let's be honest. There's two motorcycle dealerships, I think, and nobody really knows what moto is, so I come from a place where it's really not meant to be. I'm having a blast, so it's pretty cool.' It wasn't just Schock. The entire Muc-Off/FXR/ClubMX Yamaha team celebrated with their first career podium finish. And the story of how Schock got the opportunity with them was one filled with inspiration for all to hear. 'When I was on previous teams, I would look at that club and be like, 'Man, they've got a solid platform going on, and they want to win,'' he shared. 'So there's no excuses. When I got dumped from the previous team, I had to go searching and honestly, that's where I wanted to go. So I went there first, showed up on my two-stroke one day, and Mike B (Bonacci, team manager) gave me the opportunity, and he was like, 'Hey, come into the office and have a conversation.' Ever since then, it's kind of changed my life in a way. That's a solid group of guys with that whole crew. We're not a factory team, but they put in the work. We're still figuring things out. We're proving that it works. In previous years, they had J-Mart (Jeremy Martin) on it and Phil (Nicoletti) and Garrett (Marchbanks), and they've put in some solid results in the years. 'So it's been proven, so for me to sign with these guys, it's like, 'Okay, I know they see something in me before I even see it in myself,' and I feel like that's been my biggest struggle this year. I believe in myself, but how much? Just trying to take it to that next step. P2 tonight, it's pretty sick. It's good for me and good for the team.' Having a team filled with ground crew all the way up through management believing in him gave him the confidence to come out swinging. In the first five races, Schock has not finished outside the top 10, with his worst finish of eighth. He had similar numbers last year where the only finish outside the top 10 of the 250SX East division was a 12th at Nashville's East/West Showdown. Before 2024, Schock only had four top 10 finishes. The numbers don't lie that the confidence has been both a moral boost and a performance boost. 'I always knew I could ride a motorcycle well, but I never really had the structure growing up,' reflected Schock. 'I've had to really lock down these last few years, and I've checked off everything that I've wanted to accomplish, so now I'm making new goals and I've gotten this far so how far can I go? I'm living my dream and want to keep going and see how far we can go at the end of the day.' Unlike the rest of his class, Schock won't have a weekend off as he will be competing at Daytona Int'l Speedway for Round 8 of the SMX World Championship and the indoor stadium season of Monster Energy AMA Supercross next weekend on Mar. 1. For now, he gets to celebrate with his dad and fiancée who were both in attendance and go through all his text messages and voicemails from friends and family sending their congratulations. 'Un-freakin-believable,' said Schock. 'For me, it hasn't sunk in yet. I think it's because we're all wanting more. Everyone's just stoked. It's a dream come true. For me, my next personal best is a win, so that's pretty cool to say.'

Jorge Prado out for 2025 Supercross with shoulder injury

Jorge Prado suffered a hard crash in qualification for Round 3 of the Monster Energy Supercross season and was unable to mount up for the evening program last week at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California. Midweek, he announced on social media he will require shoulder surgery and will miss the remainder of the Supercross season. 'Bad news; surgery is needed to fix my shoulder and I will be out for the rest of the Supercross season.' Prado posted on Instagram. 'Time of rehab is unknown and hopefully I can make it to the start of outdoors. I will be back strong like I always do.' Prado's fulltime debut in the stadium series did not go the way he would have liked. He finished 14th in the season opening race and was 12th in San Diego the following week. In 2024, Prado scored one top-10 finish in four starts, a seventh in the muddy conditions of San Francisco, California. If Prado make it back in time for the complete Pro Motocross season, his fortunes should improve. He is the reigning MXGP champion having won that honor in 2023 and 2024. Prado will undergo surgery in his native Spain this weekend while the series competes in Round 4 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
