BAFTAs 2025 moments that weren't aired including Danny Dyer's expletive speech The 2025 BAFTA TV Awards saw a host of celebrities take to the red carpet at the Royal Festival Hall on London's Southbank on Sunday The 2025 BAFTA TV Awards brought together a star-studded line-up on the red carpet at London's Royal Festival Hall on Sunday (May 11). During the ceremony, hosted by Alan Cumming for the first time, several notable winners emerged. Blue Lights secured the Best Drama award, while Jessica Gunning from Baby Reindeer took home the Best Supporting Actress honour. Mr Loverman garnered multiple awards, with Lennie James and Marisa Abela claiming Best Leading Actor and Best Leading Actress, respectively. However, not all moments made it to the two-hour BBC One broadcast. Here's a glimpse at what didn't make the cut. The BBC was compelled to edit out parts of Danny Dyer's acceptance speech for Best Male Performance in a Comedy due to his use of several expletives, reports the Express. Danny Dyer let slip several swear words during his acceptance speech Article continues below The 47-year-old former EastEnders star won his first BAFTA for his portrayal of Lee in the Sky Max comedy series Mr Bigstuff. Overcome with excitement, Danny's speech included a string of swear words. "What a touch! Comedy performance. I thought my acting was so bad, it was funny," he started. He continued, "I want to thank Sky for giving our show a shot. F***ing hell, I'm choked up." Danny also thanked his co-star and writer Ryan Sampson, which led to further use of strong language in his speech. Alan Cumming had an unexpected blunder while presenting the BAFTA Fellowship Award "I got to dedicate this to Ryan Sampson. One of the greatest things to come out of Rotherham. Which is not saying much. But one of the best actors this country's ever produced, I'm telling you," Danny said. "Never done the same thing twice. Which is not something I can say. He wrote this part for me, so you know... I'm getting choked up again, f*** me. So, you won this for me mate, I really appreciate it, thank you so much." Towards the end of his acceptance speech, Danny turned his attention to his daughters, who were in the audience, with an affectionate acknowledgment: "Girls, Sunnie and Dani. I've done it girls, I've f***ing done it!" After Danny left the stage, Alan, the evening's host, promptly offered an apology for any offence caused by the language used, stating: "I've been asked to apologise for the naughty language there." Kirsty Wark won the prestigious BAFTA Fellowship Award Even Alan wasn't free from mishaps during the event, as he went on to experience his own slip-up while presenting the eminent BAFTA Fellowship Award to broadcaster Kirsty Wark. Alan accidentally introduced the award by calling it the "b******* fellowship," a misstep he quickly acknowledged with yet more colourful language: "Oh, f*** me!" Article continues below The ceremony also saw honours go to Mr Bates vs The Post Office for Limited Drama, while Strictly Come Dancing snagged the Memorable Moment Award for the routine performed by Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell. Nevertheless, despite being a major talking point among TV viewers, The Traitors notably did not receive any awards, a fact that left many fans of the show displeased. Demi Moore Picks Pinstripes in Sheer Thom Browne Corset for 2025 Independent Spirit Awards
Demi Moore carried her dog Pilaf with her on the red carpet on Saturday in Los Angeles for the 2025 Independent Spirit Awards. The pint sized pup is often seen on Moore's arm or in her bag attending various red carpets and press appearances. For her latest fashion moment, she and stylist Brad Goreski chose to give a take on the long-running sheer trend in Thom Browne. Moore wore a sheer corset and skirt to the event. It features a back panel with two vents. In addition, to give the look a pinstripe effect, it was lined in fabric featuring the red, white and blue stripes that are a Thom Browne signature. She also wore a simple three-button blazer of the same construction. For jewelry, she wore a pair of platinum and diamond earrings with a Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany Bird on a Rock Ring. Moore and Goreski have been going full-fashion on red carpets this season promoting 'The Substance.' At times, the pair give their own iteration of the popular 'method dressing' trend: for the Critics Choice Awards, Moore wore a Schiaparelli couture dress featuring a lace-up back that was a wink to the back stitches of her character in the film. Days later, she was in a sheer Christian Dior dress covered in eyes to the Directors Guild Awards, which is another reference to the film. This, of course, hasn't precluded the team from choosing glamour for glamour's sake. Case in point, they kicked off the circuit at the Golden Globes with Moore in a strapless Armani Prive gown that was studded with Swarovski crystals. The 2025 Film Independent Spirit Awards, held on Feb. 22 in Santa Monica, Calif., and hosted by Aidy Bryant, honor the best performances, writing and direction in independent film in 2024. Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet Hold Hands at BAFTAS 2025 Wearing Silver Amina Muaddi Sandals and Bottega Veneta Boots
Kylie Jenner was on hand to support boyfriend Timothée Chalamet at the 2025 BAFTA Awards on Sunday. The beauty mogul has been attending many of Chalamet's award appearances to support his latest film 'A Complete Unknown.' She often skips the red carpet but she never skips on the looks. At the BAFTAs, she and stylists Mackenzie Grandquist and Rose Grandquist unearthed a vintage black sheer John Galliano halter dress from 1995. The sandals are thin, strappy shoes. They feature a silver mirror base and a rounded toe. The thin silver straps are studded in small white diamante crystals. This includes a strap across the toes, as well as a slingback strap behind the foot and one at the ankle for security. The stiletto heel is just over four inches and is also made of the silver mirror like the rest of the upper. Amina Muaddi sells the made in Italy styles for $1,560. The company also has them available with a black base. While boyfriend Chalamet wasn't quite as glamorous, he did choose a more dapper style than he has been in as of late. The actor wore a black custom Bottega Veneta set designed by Matthieu Blazy, who is no longer with the label. It included a cropped double breasted black jacket and double pleated trousers. In place of a button down white shirt, he wore a black tank top and silver chains. The jewelry was from Cartier. For shoes he wore a pair of the Bottega Veneta Dalton ankle boots. The styles feature not only a Cuban heel but a thick platform sole courtesy of a rubber injected later. This mades the heel just over 2 inches. They are made of a shiny black calfskin leather. Chalamet was styled by Taylor McNeill. The British Academy Film Awards are an annual show that awards the best in film. This year top winners include 'Conclave' as well as 'The Brutalist.' Mikey Madison won the Best Leading Actress award this year in an awards race that is watching her gradually become a leading contender for the American Academy award.
