"May Telangana march ahead on path of progress": President Murmu on Statehood day
New Delhi [India], June 2 (ANI): Marking Telangana's 11th Formation Day, President Droupadi Murmu led the nation in extending warm greetings to the state's people, praising its rich cultural legacy and dynamic growth story. In a message shared on social media, the President lauded Telangana's journey as a young state swiftly emerging as a hub of cultural pride and economic progress. In a post on X, the President of India wrote, 'Warm greetings to the people of Telangana on Statehood Day! This young State has a rich cultural heritage and a vibrant modern ecosystem of economic and technological development. I wish that the people of Telangana march ahead on the path of progress and prosperity.' Union Home Minister Amit Shah also shared his message in both English and Telugu, celebrating Telangana's cultural richness and the hardworking spirit of its people. In a post on X, Union Minister Shah wrote,' On Telangana statehood day, warm greetings to our brothers and sisters of the state. With its rich culture, heritage, and hardworking people, Telangana shines brightly on India's ethno-cultural map. May the state reach new heights of prosperity.' He added, 'On the occasion of Telangana State Formation Day. Hearty greetings to my Telangana sisters and brothers. The BJP Telangana unit marked the day by remembering the sacrifices made by martyrs during the struggle for statehood. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday tore into Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over his statement regarding the destruction of Rafale jets during 'Operation Sindoor'. The competition began amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan soon after India's retaliatory 'Operation Sindoor' against Pakistan in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, amid calls from the opposition to postpone it. Terrorists and their masters in Pak paid a heavy price, says Kishan Reddy

He said 'During these attacks, people used to pay homage and make peace. But after the Modi government came to power, he gave a strong message that terrorism and the country that nurtures terrorism will be taught a lesson – through the Pathankot – surgical strike, Pulwama – air strike, Pahalgam – Operation Sindoor.' He said that it is at such times that the entire country needs to stand united, putting aside parties, castes, religions, communities and colours. Operation Sindoor had destroyed nine terror camps in Pakistani territory. He said that the role of Indian soldiers was crucial in this. The Union Minister said that it is sad that a soldier from Visakhapatnam also lost his life in this operation. He said that there is a great need for everyone to participate in the Tiranga Yatras and rallies being organised at such times and show the unity of the country. The State BJP chief pointed out that the Pahalgam attack exposed the brutality of the terror outfits and their masters in Pakistan. He said, 'A father was killed in front of his children and a husband in front of his wife. Besides, Hindus were identified and killed and the kin of the victims were asked to go and tell Modi.' He said that India has given a strong response to their attacks through Operation Sindoor. 'From now on, every terrorist attack that takes place in India will be responded to and Pakistan will be shown its place,' he informed.

BJP tears Rahul's charges to shreds
Hyderabad: The BJP Telangana has strongly condemned Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi for his recent unfounded accusations made during the Bharat Summit held on Saturday. Rahul Gandhi claimed that opposition voices are being 'trapped and isolated' under the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre. In a sharp response, BJP State chief spokesperson and media in-charge NV Subhash stated that Rahul Gandhi's remarks demonstrate a lack of understanding of democratic values and indicate a failure to reflect on the Congress party's own legacy in Parliament. 'Why should you feel isolated? What prompted these feelings? Isn't it time for you, your party, and your allies to introspect on your actions and your commitment to the nation's best interests', he asked. Subhash reminded Rahul Gandhi of the responsible conduct of BJP leaders such as the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, LK Advani, Arun Jaitley, and Sushma Swaraj, who, even while in opposition, upheld the dignity of Parliament and prioritised national interests. He cited Vajpayee's commendation of then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War as a testament to putting the nation's interests above politics. Contrasting that mature leadership with today's Congress approach, Subhash pointed out that Rahul Gandhi must consider why his party, despite participating in all-party meetings, continues to enable individuals like Robert Vadra, who recently made insensitive remarks following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. 'At a time when the nation is mourning the loss of 26 innocent lives, Vadra's comments linking the tragedy to restrictions on street prayers are not only irresponsible but also reprehensible,' Subhash said. The BJP leader further questioned the appropriateness of the state government hosting investment summits amid national grief following such a horrific terror attack. Rahul Gandhi's claims that Congress is unable to 'operate' due to an atmosphere of 'fear, anger, and hatred' are merely attempts to divert attention from the Congress party's own failures, Subhash asserted. 'Rather than concocting narratives of victimhood, the Congress party must reflect on its declining credibility and its disconnection from the aspirations of New India,' he added. The BJP strongly reiterated its commitment to dialogue, consensus-building, and safeguarding the democratic fabric of the nation while decisively acting against forces that threaten India's unity and security.

Flush out illegal immigrants from Hyd'bad, demands BJP
Hyderabad: BJP Telangana pitched for immediate identification of Pakistani and Bangladeshi nationals in the state capital and urged to deport them against the backdrop of the Pahalgam terror attack. Addressing the media on Thursday, State BJP vice-president and former MLA Dr NVSS Prabhakar demanded the State government to direct the police and give them a free hand to evict foreign nationals allegedly living beyond the expiry of their visas, and Bangladeshi citizens illegally entering the country and living in the Old City. He alleged that the AIMIM has been in alliance with the BRS party for some time. Now it is working with the Congress, which is in power. It is seen that the police are rendered helpless to take stringent action in many cases to carry out raids and arrest the Pakistani and Bangladeshi nationals, he added. The BJP leader recalled that the NIA and IB have issued warnings on many occasions that there are sleeper cells in Hyderabad. 'As an immediate precautionary measure, we demand the state government to demolish the sleeper cells illegally residing in the Old City of Hyderabad,' he demanded. He said the lesson that needs to be learnt from the Pahalgam attack is that political and opportunistic alliances should not put the lives of people at risk. 'The Pahalgam terror incident has shaken the country. At this juncture, the central government has announced some tough decisions. The people of India believe that the organisations, individuals and neighboring countries that instigated terrorism will definitely have to pay the price,' he said.
