Kate and William's pals 'gave Meghan's lifestyle brand a brutal nickname'

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have faced ongoing tension with senior members of the royal family, including the Prince and Princess of Wales, who have not spoken to the Sussexes in years Since stepping back from royal duties, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have faced ongoing tension with senior members of the royal family. ‌ Following the couple's high-profile 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, where the Sussexes made multiple accusations about life inside Palace walls, the Late Queen issued a rare statement with the now-famous remark, "recollections may vary". ‌ However, when Prince Harry published his memoir Spare in January 2023, Buckingham Palace stayed silent, choosing not to address any of the claims made in the book. It comes after it emerged Meghan Markle's 'inappropriate' living request was 'firmly denied' by late Queen. ‌ Although a recent "peace summit" between King Charles and Harry's senior aides hinted at possible reconciliation between both camps after years of brutal barbs, Prince William's team were reportedly not invited to the meeting. And some of those close to Prince William and Princess Kate have allegedly expressed scepticism about Harry and Meghan in private. According to a royal source cited by Bella Magazine, friends of the Prince and Princess of Wales reportedly mocked Meghan's rebranded lifestyle venture, As Ever, referring to the Duchess of Sussex's latest business venture as 'As If', as in ' as if it will take off'. "It sparked quite a bit of laughter in the group," one source told Bella Magazine. "There were a lot of WhatsApp messages flying around. The whole thing seems a bit rushed and low-budget - honestly, it's a little embarrassing." However, Meghan's lifestyle brand As Ever continues to be a huge hit with her dedicated fans, with almost all of her products, including her new rosé wine and famous jams, to flower sprinkles and a shortbread cookie mix, selling out in record time. ‌ Last week, As Ever launched its new 2024 vintage rosé wine. Meghan celebrated the launch with a video to Instagram of her uncorking a bottle marked 'Bottle #1' to toast to her achievements. Alongside the clip, she wrote: "Here we go! First bottle off the line! Toasting to a beautiful day: Our Napa rose is live @aseverofficial." Despite the first wine launch of the 2023 vintage tipple selling out within one hour after being released last month, the latest launch is still available to buy at the time of writing. The new wine has the exact same price point as the previous batch, and is available in batches of three, six and twelve, with each bottle costing £22 ($30) and sold at £66 ($90), £116 ($159) and £218 ($300) respectively. The As Ever brand appeared to explain the non-sell out by posting a video on its social media page of a bottle of the rosé being poured into a branded glass with the caption: "We made so much more this round, and yet it's still going fast! Don't miss out."

Loose Women's Janet Street Porter sets record straight on show future after 'sad' setback

Loose Women's Janet Street Porter sets record straight on show future after 'sad' setback As part of ITV's major 2026 overhaul, Loose Women will move to a seasonal schedule of 30 weeks per year and will no longer feature a studio audience Janet Street Porter said she won't be affected by the changes Loose Women star Janet Street Porter has opened up about the upcoming changes to the show, as part of ITV's scheduling plans. Set to come into force in 2026, episodes of the daytime favourite will be reduced, and will no longer have a live audience. ‌ With the programme scheduled to air just 30 weeks per year, there's speculation that the current roster of 26 panellists may also face cuts. Speaking on the matter, the 78-year-old broadcaster claimed that these changes won't impact her much. ‌ "They won't really affect me because I work when I want to work," she told Woman Magazine. ‌ "I can see they need to save money but from my point of view, I'm sad they've cut the episodes because Loose Women as a brand is doing extremely well for ITV. "Very well indeed. It's increased its audience share and it's loved by the audience." Janet Street Porter doesn't believe the long-term panellists will be axed from the show ‌ Having joined the panel back in 2011, Janet is among the show's longstanding contributors alongside the likes of Ruth Langsford, Jane Moore and Kaye Adams. In a previous interview, the journalist insisted that she and "the older" panellists will not be axed. She told Bella Magazine: "There are no plans to get rid of the older women, despite of what some people have said! ‌ "In fact, the reverse is true. ITV actually put out a statement saying we are the valued members of the show because the audience totally relate to us." Janet also believes the show has become "trusted by a lot of women", due to the difficult topics the panellists discuss, from female health to domestic violence. "I think the show has managed to connect to women who wouldn't otherwise have a voice," she added. ‌ "And it's delivered with a lot of laughs because we don't take ourselves too seriously." Loose Women's Nadia Sawalha said she found the cuts 'brutal' (Image: ITV) While Janet has a nonchalant attitude towards the change-up, her co-host Nadia Sawalha expressed a different view. ‌ In a heartfelt video on her YouTube channel, the actress described the sudden cuts as "absolutely brutal". Addressing the uncertainty of her future on the show due to her self-employed status, she added: "I could be let go tomorrow, [or] I could be let go in five years, you don't know because we're not employees." Alongside Loose Women, Lorraine Kelly's eponymous show will also shift to a 30-week seasonal schedule, and will see its airtime reduced from one hour to 30 minutes. ‌ Kevin Lygo, the managing director of ITV's Media and Entertainment Division, acknowledged in a statement that the broadcaster is undergoing a "transition". He stated: "I recognise that our plans will have an impact on staff off screen in our Daytime production teams. "We will work with ITV Studios and ITN as they manage these changes to produce the shows differently from next year, and support them through this transition." Loose Women's Janet Street Porter says 'I'm sad' as she addresses major show setback

Loose Women will shift to a seasonal schedule of 30 weeks per year and will no longer have a studio audience, as part of ITV's major shake-up for 2026 Loose Women panellist Janet Street Porter has spoken out about the upcoming changes to the ITV show, set to take effect in 2026. As part of a major shake-up to ITV's scheduling, there will be fewer episodes aired of the popular lunchtime programme, and live studio audiences will also be scrapped. ‌ With the show being scaled back to just 30 weeks a year, reports also suggest that some of the 26-strong panel could also be cut. Addressing the changes, the 78-year-old said she won't be affected by it. ‌ "They won't really affect me because I work when I want to work," she shared with Woman Magazine. ‌ "I can see they need to save money but from my point of view, I'm sad they've cut the episodes because Loose Women as a brand is doing extremely well for ITV. "Very well indeed. It's increased its audience share and it's loved by the audience." Janet is one of the long-term panellists, who has been a part of the show since 2011. ‌ In a previous interview, she seemed adamant that the older stars will not be axed from the programme. "There are no plans to get rid of the older women, despite of what some people have said!," she told Bella Magazine. ‌ "In fact, the reverse is true. ITV actually put out a statement saying we are the valued members of the show because the audience totally relate to us." "I think the show has managed to connect to women who wouldn't otherwise have a voice," she added. ‌ "And it's delivered with a lot of laughs because we don't take ourselves too seriously." While Janet may not seem worried by the news, her co-star Nadia Sawalha has expressed a very different view. ‌ In an emotional video on her YouTube Channel, the presenter said she found the "out of the blue" cuts 'absolutely brutal'. Addressing her uncertain future on the show due to being self-employed, she added: "I could be let go tomorrow, [or] I could be let go in five years, you don't know because we're not employees." As well as Loose Women, Lorraine Kelly's self-titled show will also only operate on a 30-week seasonal basis, and will be cut from one hour to 30 minutes on air. ‌ In a statement, Kevin Lygo, the managing director of ITV's Media and Entertainment Division, acknowledged that the broadcaster is going through a "transition". He said: "I recognise that our plans will have an impact on staff off screen in our Daytime production teams. Prince William, Kate Middleton's Friends Have Nickname for As Ever

Prince William and Kate Middleton's friends—apparently lacking anything else better to do—have come up with a rude/petty name for Meghan Markle's popular lifestyle brand, As Ever. According to sources in Bella Magazine (via the Daily Mail), friends of the couple call the brand "As If." One insider said, "It's caused quite a bit of laughter within the group. WhatsApp messages have been going back and forth. It's all very budget and rushed. Embarrassing, really." The Duchess of Sussex's brand has actually been immensely popular and shows no signs of slowing down. Like, As Ever's first collection launched on April 2 and sold out in less than an hour. As Meghan put it on Instagram, "Our shelves may be empty, but my heart is full! We sold out in less than one hour and I can't thank you enough…for celebrating, purchasing, sharing, and believing. It's just the start." They sold out again in June, and Meghan wrote on Instagram Stories "We spent so much time making sure we had so much more inventory. That's why we took the time, and you guys are doing it again. We're nearly sold out on everything, and I can't believe it." And while the Sussexes' Netflix deal has reportedly ended, Meghan will still partner with the streamer on As Ever. As a source put it to Page Six, "They're NOT done, they have plenty coming up together. I cannot imagine that Meghan and Netflix went into business together just for a year or two."

Janet Street Porter reveals which Loose Women panellists are safe from ITV cuts as show faces biggest ever shake up

JANET Street Porter has revealed which Loose Women panellists are safe amid ITV budget cuts. In May, The Sun revealed that the daytime show will return in 2026 with a reduced run of just 30 episodes. 3 3 3 It follows broader budget reductions across the channel, which also include halving Lorraine's airtime to 30 minutes and airing it only during school term times. Now long-term Loose Women panel member Janet, 78, has hinted that "older" members of the team are safe, but younger newcomers are likely to face the chop. "There are no plans to get rid of the older women despite of what some people have said," Janet insisted. "In fact, the reserve is true. "ITV actually put out a statement saying we are the valued members of the show because the audience totally relates to us." Janet, who joined the panel in 2011, continued to Bella Magazine: "I think Loose Women has become a programme that is trusted by a lot of women because we talk about the issues that they are concerned about - whether it's female health, domestic violence, or how politicians don't really understand working women. "I think the show has managed to connect women who wouldn't otherwise have a voice. "And it's delivered with a lot of laughs because we don't take ourselves too seriously." Last month it was revealed that producers had decided to drop the live studio audience next year as part of a series of cost-cutting changes to its daytime programming. However, the change has prompted concern among production staff and presenters, including Ruth Langsford, Kaye Adams, Nadia Sawalha and Charlene White, who rely on audience reactions to shape the tone of the live discussions. Loose Women star admits she is 'absolutely devastated' and 'can't get over it' as her friend and co-star has been axed in brutal ITV cutbacks A source told MailOnline: "The panelists are really upset over the decision to axe the live studio audience from the show. "It's what sets the series apart from the rest of ITV daytime and now there are massive fears that viewers will switch off completely. "The only concern now is to cut costs and having a live studio audience can be expensive, with the added need for security and a warmup artist. "Presenters already know how it feels to broadcast the show without an audience because that's what happened during the pandemic, and they all know it creates low mood and lack of atmosphere." An ITV source told The Sun: "While there is a proposal to not have a studio audience for Loose Women from 2026, that doesn't necessarily mean that we'll never have a studio audience again, it just won't be in the same way as it is now. "At this stage we are still exploring new ways of working and producing the show when we move to a new studio next year." Last month, Kaye Adams broke her silence on the chaos at Loose Women, admitting she's had sleepless nights over the cuts. Speaking on her podcast, How To Be 60, Kaye said she felt as though 'the rug had been pulled' from underneath her. The 62-year-old confessed: 'It did come out of the blue. "I didn't anticipate it, which is probably stupid in retrospect. You get into a sort of rhythm of life. "I had a couple of sleepless nights I have to say, because it's just like the rug's been pulled from under your feet – what has been familiar.' Kaye, who is one of Loose Women's main anchors, said: 'It's going to have an impact. Lots of people will lose their jobs completely which is terrible. It's a huge change. 'But I gave myself a talking to and I listened to my own advice for once – change is hard, but it can be good. 'The past is a trap, don't fear the future – I'm telling myself all these things. And maybe this is the nudge that I needed to make some changes in my life and I'll just have to go with it.' It has been rumoured that the pool of Loose Women panellists will be reduced as part of the cutbacks, which will be introduced from January. So far none of the hosts know if their livelihoods are at stake. It is not yet known whether younger panellists, such as former Love Island contestant Olivia Attwood, 34, and influencer GK Barry, 25, will be favoured over veteran stars including Janet Street-Porter, 78, and Jane Moore, 63.
