Missing Beloit woman found, family reports
BELOIT, Wis. (WTVO) — Rebecca Osmond (47) has been missing since February 22, but her family reported on Sunday that she has been found alive. Osmond last spoke on a Facetime call to her son February 22. Her mother said her phone was off after that. The family told police they believed she arrived in Tampa, Florida via an Amtrak train on February 24th. The family held a candlelight vigil for Osmond Sunday afternoon, and five minutes before it was scheduled to start, Osmond's sister said she got a phone call from police confirming Osmond's location. 'I am so in shock right now,' Osmond's sister Stacy Rebhahn said. 'There's a lot of emotions going through me right now. I'm so thankful that everybody came through and helped get her name out there, even though she's going to be very, very angry at how far this has gone. It'll teach a lesson that you need to tell people what's going on with you because it doesn't just affect you.' Rebhahn said the Beloit Police Department told her there was an issue in the spelling of Osmond's name that led to the investigation delay. This story is developing.
