Worried Machine Gun Kelly leaves AMA early to be with ill baby in rare update
Machine Gun Kelly paid the AMA's a fleeting visit as he told reporters he was rushing back home to be with his poorly newborn baby girl, and stated it was his 'purpose' to be a dad Machine Gun Kelly ditched the American Music Awards early to be with Megan Fox and their newborn baby girl as she struggled with a 'little bit of a fever'. The musician, 34, and the Transformers actress, 38, welcomed a baby girl in March, following reports of their split last year. In a rare update, MGK, whose real name is Colson Baker, told reporters that he was going to walk the carpet and quickly head off to be with his family, before sweetly stating that it was his 'purpose' to be a dad. Speaking to E News on the red carpet, the Bloody Valentine singer said: 'She has a little bit of a fever, so I'm gonna walk the carpet and go back, yanno, handle my business, give her my pheromones and let her heal up'. He added: 'I was born to be a dad, it's my purpose.' Giving a further rare insight into his life as a dad to a newborn, Kelly told Access Hollywood reporters: 'When Pete was texting me one night, he was making me laugh so hard and it woke my baby up, and waking a newborn up is just not the vibe'. When asked what life is like with a newborn, MGK said: 'It's just so elated, it's just awesome, they smell so good, yanno, I was just meant to be a dad.' Speaking about his first daughter, Casie Colson Baker, who he shares with his ex Emma Cannon, MGK said: 'She's a great big sister yeah, she's able to calm her down. She just worked her first job. I'm a very proud dad, a lot of good things happening with my kids'. MGK proudly announced the arrival of his daughter in March and shared an adorable video of their daughter alongside a heartfelt song to share the big news. He wrote: "She's finally here! ! Our little Celestial Seed. 3/27/25." MGK and Megan met for the first time on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass, the 2021 crime thriller film. Rumours started that they were dating before they went public with their romance in 2020, and got engaged in 2022. In November last year, Hollywood star Megan announced that she was expecting. Megan shares three children, Noah Shannon, 12, Bodhi Ransom, 10, and Journey River, eight, with Brian Austin Green. They tied the knot in 2010 but split in 2020.

How Megan Fox and MGK's Relationship Improved After Baby No. 1: ‘He Has Done a Real Turnaround'
Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are making a huge effort to get along for the sake of their newborn daughter, a source exclusively tells In Touch, who says friends are applauding the former couple for putting their egos aside and handling this situation with maturity. 'The new baby seems to have flipped a switch in MGK,' the insider says about how their relationship has improved after baby No. 1's arrival. 'He's driving Megan to the store, offering to do the night shifts and choosing to stay in over going out to party.' The change in the rocker, 35, and his priorities hasn't gone unnoticed by the actress, 38, either. 'Megan always wanted MGK to have a big role in the baby's life and so far, so good,' says the source. 'She's encouraged." The insider reveals how the Houston, Texas, native has changed his life ever since their daughter's birth. 'He has done a real turnaround, he's totally mellowed. He's bending over backwards to make life better for his baby and for Megan too," the source shares. "It's really a huge shift and it's made all the difference for Megan. She's able to be much more calm and grounded herself because his energy is easier to manage, it doesn't trigger her," the insider explains. "It's not just great for them, it's much better for the baby this way. Hopefully it will last, it's really dependent on MGK and if he can continue on this healthier path. Everyone is rooting for him, and for them," the source adds about the former couple. The "Bloody Valentine" hitmaker (real name: Colson Baker) announced he and Megan welcomed baby No. 1 on March 27. MGK already has a daughter Casie, 15, from a previous relationship, while Megan shares three sons with ex-husband Brian Austin Green: Noah, 12, Bodhi 11, and Journey, 8. 'She's finally here!! our little celestial seed,' MGK captioned a black and white Instagram video of him caressing his newborn girl's hand against his chest. He revealed that their daughter's birth occurred earlier the same day. The duo was photographed for the first time since their daughter's birth on April 18, as MGK dropped by a market in Calabasas, California, while the Jennifer's Body star waited in the car. Megan and MGK met and fell for each other in 2020 while filming the crime thriller Midnight in the Switchgrass. The duo got engaged in January 2022, but hit several rough patches over the years. Their romance was back on when the Transformers star announced her pregnancy on November 11, 2024. Megan shared an Instagram photo with black paint covering her body as she cradled her baby bump. 'Nothing is ever really lost. Welcome back,' she captioned the post while tagging MGK. The New Girl alum was seemingly referring to how the duo previously suffered a pregnancy loss. 'I've never been through anything like that in my life. I have three kids, so it was very difficult for both of us and it sent us on a very wild journey together and separately … trying to navigate, 'What does this mean?' and 'Why did this happen?'' the Tennessee native revealed during an appearance on Good Morning America in November 2023. Fans were floored when less than a month after Megan's pregnancy announcement, reports surfaced that the couple split. TMZ was the first to report the breakup after a source told the outlet on December 10, 2024, that they split over a Thanksgiving weekend trip to Vail, Colorado. Megan reportedly saw something that she didn't like on the musician's phone. 'Megan and MGK have broken up several times since the pregnancy was announced,' a source told Us Weekly later that same day. 'This was just one of the bigger ones that people have heard about.' The insider said that the duo's 'relationship is so full of passion,' leading to their breakups and make-ups. 'That leads them to get back together over and over, but also to fight in the most toxic of ways,' the source explained to the outlet. 'Their fights have gotten less intense now that MGK is sober, but they still have such a hard time having a stable relationship with each other.' As of May 14, neither Megan nor MGK have publicly commented on their split.

Valentine's Day is the ‘Super Bowl' of holidays for restaurants, flower shops
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – As Valentine's Day comes to a close, some local businesses say they survived one of the busiest days of the year. 'This is the Super Bowl. This is the big day,' said Carlos Cisneros, general manager of Bocca Ristorante. When you think of Valentine's Day, you may think of love, flowers, chocolate and fine dining. A holiday like this can bring big profits to local businesses. 'You could buy a luxury car, let's put it that way,' Cisneros said. Valentine's Day is usually a busy night for upscale restaurants like Bocca Ristorante. 'We started booking up in December and we got a little nervous because we do a pre fixe menu and we didn't have the pre fixe menu together yet because we were still focused on Christmas and we started getting all these reservations and we were like, woah, we need to get ready,' said Cisneros. 'I think it was like January 2, we started prepping all of our reservations and getting things ready for [Valentine's Day].' Warehouse 31 hosting 'Bloody Valentine' haunted house With the holiday falling on a Friday this year, Cisneros says it becomes even busier. 'This is the Valentine's Day on steroids. It's kind of like Cinco de Mayo landing on Taco Tuesday, like it amplifies the amount of excitement and business,' he said. 'People are off the weekend, they're off the next day, so yeah, it's like the perfect storm.' Prep work for holidays is the name of the game from the hospitality industry to the floral industry. 'We counted roses and we ordered 4,500 roses for this week alone and that's just one flower, of which we use many,' said Carolyn Chen, owner of Wild Things Flowers and Curiosities in Homewood. 'We got the flowers in on Monday and processing orders all week. We were here until 1 [Thursday] night so we live here at the shop on Valentine's week,' Wild Things general manager Christine Long said. 'We love it, we love Valentine's Day. It's the best.' At Wild Things, it's better to have too many flowers than not enough. Not only can the flower shop accommodate walk-ins on the holiday, but any leftover bouquets are hand-delivered to the Homewood Fire Department so firefighters on call can have fresh flowers to take home to their sweethearts. Though Valentine's is just one day, businesses can see celebrations drawn out for a week. 'A lot of the service industry people or the people who have to work Valentine's Day tend to do this afterwards,' Cisneros said. 'Our Valentine's Day will probably be on Monday. Sunday to recover and then Monday to celebrate.' Some businesses are expecting Valentine's Day profits to continue early into next week. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
