Worried Machine Gun Kelly leaves AMA early to be with ill baby in rare update
Machine Gun Kelly paid the AMA's a fleeting visit as he told reporters he was rushing back home to be with his poorly newborn baby girl, and stated it was his 'purpose' to be a dad
Machine Gun Kelly ditched the American Music Awards early to be with Megan Fox and their newborn baby girl as she struggled with a 'little bit of a fever'.
The musician, 34, and the Transformers actress, 38, welcomed a baby girl in March, following reports of their split last year.
In a rare update, MGK, whose real name is Colson Baker, told reporters that he was going to walk the carpet and quickly head off to be with his family, before sweetly stating that it was his 'purpose' to be a dad.
Speaking to E News on the red carpet, the Bloody Valentine singer said: 'She has a little bit of a fever, so I'm gonna walk the carpet and go back, yanno, handle my business, give her my pheromones and let her heal up'.
He added: 'I was born to be a dad, it's my purpose.'
Giving a further rare insight into his life as a dad to a newborn, Kelly told Access Hollywood reporters: 'When Pete was texting me one night, he was making me laugh so hard and it woke my baby up, and waking a newborn up is just not the vibe'.
When asked what life is like with a newborn, MGK said: 'It's just so elated, it's just awesome, they smell so good, yanno, I was just meant to be a dad.'
Speaking about his first daughter, Casie Colson Baker, who he shares with his ex Emma Cannon, MGK said: 'She's a great big sister yeah, she's able to calm her down. She just worked her first job. I'm a very proud dad, a lot of good things happening with my kids'.
MGK proudly announced the arrival of his daughter in March and shared an adorable video of their daughter alongside a heartfelt song to share the big news. He wrote: "She's finally here! ! Our little Celestial Seed. 3/27/25."
MGK and Megan met for the first time on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass, the 2021 crime thriller film.
Rumours started that they were dating before they went public with their romance in 2020, and got engaged in 2022. In November last year, Hollywood star Megan announced that she was expecting.
Megan shares three children, Noah Shannon, 12, Bodhi Ransom, 10, and Journey River, eight, with Brian Austin Green. They tied the knot in 2010 but split in 2020.

Fans of 70s band blast 'awful' biopic casting of Nick Jonas as rock legend
Nick Jonas has been cast in a new biopic about an iconic rock band – but fans aren't happy (Picture:) KISS fans have expressed their disappointment over the 'awful' and 'ridiculous' casting of Nick Jonas as frontman Paul Stanley in an upcoming biopic. The Jonas Brothers singer, 32, is reportedly set to star as the legendary musician, 73, in Shout It Out Loud, a biopic charting the 70s band's rise to fame. KISS – made up of Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss – formed in 1973 and went on to become one of the most influential and biggest-selling rock bands of all time. The film will be directed by McG, famed for his work on Charlie's Angels and Transformers. But fans aren't happy Jonas will be playing the Starchild, taking to social media to air their frustrations and vow to 'never see the film.' 'This casting just assures I will never watch this,' one person commented on a Reddit post about the casting news, while another simply added, 'Oh f**k no' and a third wrote, 'Absolutely not, that's awful.' Jonas will play KISS frontman and guitarist Paul Stanley (Picture: Robert Cianflone/AFL Photos/via Getty Images) Fans of the shock rockers have dubbed the casting 'awful' and vowed not to watch the film (Picture:) Shout It Out Loud will follow the band's rise to fame in the 1970s (Picture:) Others noted the band had enjoyed its fair share of controversy over the years. Several of its members openly admitted they had taken advantage of their star status to sleep with up to 5,000 women, while the band also caught flak for marketing a KISS-themed coffin. 'Absoultely (sic) ridiculous casting,' a commenter declared. 'But then we are talking about the band who replaced their lead guitarist with a roadie.' Elsewhere, commenters complained that too many music biopics had been released lately, with movies about the lives of Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley, Bob Marley, and Amy Winehouse all released in the last two years. 'I'm sure a lot of people must love them, but I cannot describe how happy I would be if they just stopped making most musician biopics,' one wrote. Other fans were more supportive, with Iamacannibal commenting: 'Nick is actually a really good actor. He was in a show called Kingdom a while back that is fantastic and he was great in it.' 'Oh I can totally see why they picked him he will really pull it off!' Rap_A_Toni93 posted, with other users drawing similarities between Jonas and Stanley's appearances. Some fans felt there had been too many music biopics in recent years (Picture: Gilbert Flores/Variety via Getty Images) Further casting is yet to be announced (Picture: Medios) The Hollywood Reporter reports Jonas is in 'final talks' to take on the role of Stanley, while movie bosses are still looking for an actor to play the singer's bassist bandmate Simmons. The group is helping to develop the project while Stanley and Simmons are among the producers, along with McG. Deadline reports Jonas plans to take on singing duties in the film and needs time to train his voice to be able to emulate Stanley's signature vocals. Longtime KISS manager Doc McGhee previously revealed the movie would focus on the band's first four years together after forming in the 1970s. Speaking to Talking Metal in 2021, he explained: '[The script is] completely done … And the script is about the first four years of KISS. Basically, it's before they were famous – it was up to Cadillac High [KISS' famous gig in a high school gym in Cadillac, Michigan in 1975] , that kind of thing. 'And I think it's a very interesting look at the formation of KISS, the mindset of how that came about, the social pressure that everybody was in in the '60s and '70s that brought something like Kiss to the forefront, that it could actually happen. Longtime manager Doc McGhee said the film would explore the formation of the influential band (Picture:for SiriusXM) Stanley (left) said he would be 'there and watching' the casting process (Picture: Ginny Winn/Michael) 'So it's a very interesting, and I think it's a well-written movie.' Stanley has also previously spoken about the movie, telling broadcaster Kylie Olsson in 2021: '[The movie is] definitely happening. And that's gonna be really interesting. The script was really good. And we really waited until we felt comfortable.' Speaking of actors who could play him in the film, he added: 'I will tell you this: for casting to be accurate in terms of age, we are looking at actors in their early 20s. 'Honestly, I don't know a whole lot of actors in their early 20s. When people get asked these kinds of questions, they'll say, 'Oh, Brad Pitt,' or this one or that one.' He went on to say that he will be 'there and watching' as the casting process continues, so if that remains true, surely Jonas has the stamp of approval from the man himself. 'But as the casting process goes on, I'll certainly be there and watching. It'll be interesting to see how someone else- be it the casting people or the director – how they view who I am and who they see doing that. 'I think I'll learn a lot about their perception of me by who they cast.' The biopic was originally slated for a 2024 release date on Netflix, but so far, a revised release date has not been announced. Got a story? New Love Islanders are like clone dolls – bosses have an obvious recipe but there's no one like me, says villa hunk
LOVE Island's new look line-up has been likened to 'clones' and 'dolls off a shelf' by a former villa bombshell. Hunky rugby player Konnor Ewudzi, 29, had girls swooning when he entered the villa last summer, but failed to find a meaningful connection. 4 He admits two beauties have already caught his eye this time around - though he'd welcome some more variety. "I do think each year it's like a bit of a structure they seem to do," he told The Sun. "It's a bit like dolls coming off the shelf, you know? Each year it's quite similar. It's like they have a recipe. "I'm just waiting for the Konnor clone to come in, the Konnor doll with pineapple hair." While there's no one physically resembling him just yet, another rugby-playing Connor - this time with a C - has been added to the line-up at the last minute. The similarities with past series' contestants isn't deterring him from tuning in though, and he'll be watching with interest come launch night on Monday. "I've always watched Love Island," he says. "You could call it a guilty pleasure. I will be watching it again. "So far from what I've seen, there's a couple of good-looking girls in there. "Shakira, she's a good-looking girl. She seems quite bubbly, and Megan, she's a good-looking girl. I think people are going to take to her and like her too." Have YOU got a story or an amazing picture or video? Email exclusive@ and you could even get PAID Since leaving the villa, Cornwall based Konnor has been working as a rugby pundit covering the Gallagher Premiership. Even though he sometimes craves stepping out onto the pitch, getting up close to rugby union's biggest names is a close second best. Love Island 2025: Top villa snog spots And he's taken to the role in front of camera effortlessly, telling us: "I think because I've come from a rugby background, I feel I've slotted in quite nicely. "I've come out (the villa) and then I've fallen into something that just makes sense to me, like I say, because I've got the rugby background. Presenting is something that I've always thought I could do." Konnor's had little time to think about his love life with his busy work schedule, even though he hasn't been short of offers. "The DMs have been a bit mad," he said. "Maybe it's slowed down a little bit now. "But, yeah, I'm just trying to just stay focused, stick to what I'm doing. Not dating anyone. I'm still single. "If the right one comes along, she comes along. We're not forcing anything." It's not just girls who have been giving him attention, the boyfriends of Love Island fans often stop him for selfies. 4 He said: "I've had loads of guys come up to me as well, which I think is hilarious. 'Oh, Kon, Kon, can I have a photo with you?' And I just think it's great because it's not just girls that watch it. "Guys do secretly like it as well, sitting down with their girlfriends watching it and you get kind of reeled into it each night at nine o'clock." He's already looking ahead to the next rugby season when it kicks off in the autumnbut hasn't ruled out a return to reality TV. "I've done a dating show now and I'd say it's probably the biggest dating show going," he says. "I'd like to do something a bit more active. "So, SAS, Who Dares Wins? And the more physical challenging sort of shows just for something a bit different from what I've already done."
