New Balance holds Grey Days campaign event in Delhi
Footwear brand New Balance debuted its annual Grey Days campaign event in India with a fashion show at its exclusive brand outlet in Ambience Mall in New Delhi's Vasant Kunj. The event was designed to spotlight the label's signature shade and design philosophy and celebrate the enduring symbolism of grey in the brand's identity. 'Whether you're new to the brand or a longtime loyalist, grey embodies the promise of everything that sets New Balance apart,' said Brian Lynn, global vice president of lifestyle at New Balance, in a press release. 'Grey Days 2025 showcases its diverse appeal.' Originally adopted in the 1980s to differentiate from bright-coloured synthetic running shoes, grey became New Balance's visual signature. The design choice was designed to reflect the grit of urban road running and stand for craftsmanship, quality, and fearless independence. Grey Days 2025 presented grey as a symbol of limitless possibility, applied across a range of footwear and apparel, from archival looks to contemporary designs. The highlight of the Delhi event was a fashion show featuring key styles from the Grey Days collection. Artists, stylists, sneaker collectors, and fashion influencers were among the attendees, engaging in curated in-store experiences. 'Grey Days debuting in India marks a major milestone for New Balance," said New Balance's India country manager Radeshwer Davar. "We've more than doubled our retail footprint in the past year, and this momentum shows the brand's rising significance in the Indian market.'

Grey Days 2025 is an expression of Grey as a limitless possibility. The classic New Balance shade is applied in various forms across twenty-one footwear and eleven apparel styles, ranging from all-time classics to modern favourites. The reissue of the 1300JP, the legendary style released once every five years, brings extra excitement to this year's celebration. The 1300JP stands out as one of New Balance's most sought-after styles, for its rarity, impeccable craftsmanship and unique place in global sneaker culture. Grey Days 2025 highlights several key launches throughout May. The launches include: May 1: The Grey Shop launches in New Balance stores and on the New Balance website and will include new and existing Grey styles from the brand's lifestyle, performance, and kids ranges, including the 740, 9060, 1000, T500, Fresh Foam X 1080v14, and more, in addition to a selection of timeless Grey apparel. May 14: The 1906 Loafer launches in Malaysia. A reenvisioned classic penny loafer, this juxtaposition of sneakers and formal wear has been in high demand since launching late last year. May 22: The ABZORB 2010 and 471 launch. The latest model launches from New Balance. Both are inspired by the brand's running heritage, ABZORB 2010 being a progressive take on 2000s-era running and 471 being the consumer's new go-to reimagined from '70s running silhouettes. May 29: The 1300JP launches. Released just once every five years, New Balance's 1300JP has become one of the sneaker world's most sought-after styles. As part of the Grey Days 2025 celebration in Malaysia, New Balance Malaysia launched two key experiences – the dedicated Pop-up at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and the in-store experience at New Balance Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. The Pop-up is open from 9th to 18th May 2025, while the in-store experience is available from 9th May until 2nd June 2025. Kicking off the festivities Thursday are the Fresh Foam X 1080v14 everyday runner, the 9060 lifestyle smash and retros sneakers 740, 1000 and T500. May 22 will then bring the newly launched 2010, a lifestyle model inspired by aughts runners, and the affordable 471 fashioned after '70s running sneakers. Andrew Reynold's first New Balance sneaker, the 933, will also join the festivities May 26, and 'Grey Days' will come to an end May 29 with the 1300JP, the premium Made in Japan sneaker that releases just once every five years.
