EastEnders Priya and Ravi's future teased with 'mistakes' ahead for the Panesars
EXCLUSIVE: EastEnders actress Sophie Khan Levy, who plays Priya Nandra-Hart on the BBC soap, has teased plenty of 'love' yet drama ahead for the Panesar household, as well as romance hints One EastEnders favourite has teased plenty more ahead for the Panesar family, while "mistakes" will bring drama. Sophie Khan Levy has also teased whether her character Priya Nandra-Hart could finally reunite with ex Ravi Gulati, with more ahead for the pair amid calls from fans for the romance to happen. The actress spoke exclusively to The Mirror at the British Soap Awards 2025, praising her her onscreen family while teasing what fans can expect from the household. Sophie promised the show would be revisiting Priya and Ravi and whether they might make things work. She also teased more fun and love on the way from the family as a whole, revealing the whole household, including Suki Panesar and Priya and Ravi's kids Avani and Nugget, will feature in new scenes. There's plenty of "solidarity" between the family, but things might take a turn as they all attempt to be there for each other. Sophie explained, teasing Ravi and Priya's future: "What they do have is love for their kids, and they always put their family first. "You know, I think everybody wants it, but whether or not they can manage it and can come together or not, I just don't know. We will see." Sophie went on: "They are definitely building something, that's currently a strong famil,y and we'll see if it turns into anything more." We mentioned how Priya was a huge support to Suki Panesar and Eve Unwin, known as Sukeve to their loyal fans, with viewers also loving the duo who married earlier this year. We also discussed Priya's children Avani and Nugget taking centre stage in their own storylines, and asked Sophie if the family would continue to feature heavily and also stick together as a unit. The actress revealed she felt "lucky" to be part of the Panesar and Gulati unit, calling her co-stars "family" on and offscreen. She told us: "I think one thing with the Panesar family is you do see that solidarity. "We're going to see a lot more of that coming up, and how they do work together definitely. But like I say, we don't know if Priya and Ravi are going to be together romantically. "But for their children, we can definitely expect to see a lot more of them coming together." On her co-stars, she added: "It is such a joy working with everyone in that Panesar family. "We all get along wonderfully and it really lends itself into playing a family because it feels like that from the inside. I feel very, very lucky to be a part of the family." Teasing what fans can expect from the coming weeks and months, Sophie told us there could be some trouble on the way. She hinted that the "things we do for love" could see things take an unexpected turn as the characters try to be there for each other." She spilled: "Love is fully at the centre of that family. The things we do for love can sometimes be, let's say, not quite what you would expect. I think we will see the Panesar family trying to be there for each other and maybe making certain mistakes along the way."

'Gutted' Coronation stars break silence on 'sad' Daniel Brocklebank exit news
Coronation Street stars Gareth Pierce and Harriet Bibby have shared their sadness over the news Billy Mayhew actor Daniel Brocklebank is leaving the ITV soap next year Two of departing Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank 's close co-stars have told The Mirror they are "gutted" by the news he has been written out of the show. Dan's character Billy Mayhew will leave the ITV soap next year in a major storyline. His exit was a storyline decision by bosses, with it claimed it was not Dan's choice to go after 11 years in the role. After Dan shared his own reaction to the news recently, two of his co-stars spoke exclusively to The Mirror about the "sad" decision. Talking to us at the British Soap Awards 2025, Summer Spellman actress Harriet Bibby was visibly emotional when discussing the news. Confessing she was struggling to talk about it, she revealed she was "gutted" to lose another close friend from the show. Gareth Pierce, who plays Todd Grimshaw, also shared his sadness with us after learning his friend would be leaving the show for good. Harriet told us: "I can't even talk about it yet because I am so gutted that I am gonna not have my friend at work. But to be perfectly honest I think I am such a blabbermouth that they've not trusted me with any information yet. "It's a while away thankfully. Me as Harriet is guessing we will see more of a relationship build between Summer and Todd cos he will be the only parental of her's left now." Harriet went on to say she will remain in touch with Dan once he leaves the soap. She told us: "In our personal lives we are so close. I absolutely love Dan, and no matter what happens work wise, I know he will always be in my life which is really lovely. You become knitted together. I don't think that will change." Gareth then shared: "When I first found out I was so sad. I know very little about his exit but I love working with Dan again. That relationship straight away, I felt respected as a recast Todd. "To have that integrated character and take over, it's easy with me and Dan." It was confirmed to the Mirror last month that Daniel was leaving the show in 2026, with the actor revealing all in a statement. It's said to be an issue led new plot according to reports, and it will see him leave the show for good next year, while details are being kept under wraps for now. In a statement shared with The Mirror, Dan said: "I have been working on Corrie for a quarter of my life. "I have adored every minute I have been in that building and have never not looked forward to going into work. I love everyone who works on this show and whilst I am sad to be going, I am equally excited to see what the future holds." The Mirror has learned that a major storyline airing in 2026 will lead to the departure, but no details can be given at this time.

Emmerdale's Ned Porteous confirms 'more to come' for dastardly villain Joe Tate
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video He may have only returned to the Emmerdale village in December, but already Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) has caused more trouble than half of the village combined. Since his unexpected arrival on Christmas Eve, Joe has spiked his own brother, stolen a kidney from his uncle and embarked on an affair with a married woman. Not to mention, his actions unintentionally led to the death of three villagers when their limo crashed into an icy lake. However, the drama surrounding Joe is far from over, as actor Ned Porteous told me at the British Soap Awards this weekend. 'There's always more to come. It really doesn't stop,' he teased. 'I don't know how they do it at the Emmerdale story creation team. There's never a dull moment. It doesn't matter which character you're following in the show, there's always something that takes the biscuit and ends up making you go, 'How are they going to get through that?' 'And that's a really fun thing for us actors to do because you have this endlessly long story arc and you don't know what's going to happen in your story and with your character. With so many people on the show all the time it's like a hotpot of weird things going on, which is great.' More Trending While Joe might not be the most popular man in the village – with countless locals having been in the frame after he was pushed out of a window last month – it's all smiles and friendship off-screen, according to Ned. 'I really, really enjoy it,' he enthused. 'Hands down the friendliest place I've ever worked. The people are nice, it's fun work, creatively. 'It's kind of an actor's dream these days to know what you're doing in about a month's time, which is quite a bizarre thing. View More » 'Mainly it's that people are kind. I'm not sh****** on anyone else I've ever worked with, but it's just a really nice place to go to work every day, and that's a really privileged position for anyone to be in, to get to wake up and enjoy going in to work.' Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) EASTENDERS legend has broken her silence after being sensationally axed from the soap. The actress, who has been on the Square for eight years, shared her emotional reaction with fans after her final scenes aired. 6 Clair Norris opened up about her exit after reuniting with the cast and crew at the British Soap Awards Credit: Getty 6 The soap's new boss Ben Wadey axed her character Bernie Taylor Credit: Getty 6 Bernie was the last member of the Taylor family on the show Credit: BBC The fan favourite, played by Clair Norris, bowed out as Bernie Taylor in a heart-breaking twist after nearly a decade in Albert Square. Her final scenes saw Bernie say an emotional goodbye to Walford, leaving fans gutted over her unexpected exit - and speculating over whether it's really the last we'll see of her. The 27-year-old joined her fellow castmates at this year's British Soap Awards - where the EastEnders won a total of 8 awards. This included wins for Best British Soap, Best Single Episode and Scene of the Year for Angie Watts' surprise return. Glammed up in a gorgeous teal dress, Clair posted a photos of herself on the red carpet on Instagram. She wrote in the caption: "My last @thebritishsoapawards with my EE family. We [broom emoji] up last night, 8 awards & I couldn't be prouder to be apart of this team! What a way to end this amazing journey, head held high & beaming from ear to ear." Clair was supported by both fans as colleagues in her post, with James Farrar, who plays Zack Hudson writing: "Head held HIGH". Emma Barton, who plays Honey Mitchell, commented: "Love you". And Elijah Holloway, who plays Harry Mitchell, said: "We looked lovely didn't we." The BBC soap has been going through a transition stage with new producer Ben Wadey taking over. Coronation Street and Emmerdale humiliated at British Soap Awards as rival soap wins EIGHT gongs The Sun revealed the beloved character's exit back in May. However, it didn't come as a surprise to star Clair as she said: "Every time a soap gets a new boss they want to make their own changes - it's nothing personal. "The writing has been on the wall for Bernie for some time so it wasn't really a surprise to Clair. 'She was the last Taylor standing and it's time to close the chapter on them and let Clair go on to do other things.' However, she's the last one of her family members left on the Square with her mum Karen leaving EastEnders in 2023, shortly followed by the murder of her brother Keanu on Christmas Day. While the Taylors are be gone, the Branning family is getting a boost. Actor Jake Wood is returning to the show as Max Branning after a four year absence. And he won't be returning alone. The BBC soap is set to begin rebuilding one of its main families with the Brannings to take centre stage once more. Max's comeback will also see his son Oscar arrive in Walford for the first time since 2017 - and he's being played by a brand new recast. Actor Pierre Moullier will play the now teenage Oscar taking over the role from Charlee Hall who last appeared in eight years ago. A source said: 'It is an exceptional bout of casting - Pierre looks more like a younger Jake than Jake did himself. It's uncanny. 'He's going to bring something new to Oscar and the character will definitely set the cat amongst the pigeons in the Square.' 6 Jake Wood is making a shock return as loverat Max Branning Credit: BBC/Kieron McCarron/Jack Barnes 6 Oscar Branning was last seen in 2017 in EastEnders - but is now returning Credit: BBC

EastEnders legend ‘in denial' as he makes unexpected life change after show exit
EastEnders legend James Bye left the show in dramatic fashion when character Martin Fowler was killed off earlier this year, but leaving the BBC soap isn't the only major life change the actor has made this year. Martin died in emotional scenes during the 40th anniversary live episode after being crushed by a beam when the Queen Vic collapsed. Since leaving the show, actor James has been touring the UK with the stage show Death Comes to Pemberley, but now he's taking on a brand new challenge, alongside wife Victoria. Taking to Instagram, Victoria shared the news that the couple, who share four children, had sold their house and moved into a caravan. 'Now, you may wonder what in the hell we're doing (I know we do, both still I denial I think!) But there's method to my madness, I hope… We've decided to selfbuild our own house,' she explained. 'A dream we've long since had & just never had the time… or the belief that we could. And yet somehow, when it feels like we've got more than ever on our plate, we thought. Sod it. It's now or never. This is our year for change… And so we are…' She went on to explain how both of their parents had also built their dream homes, and that James' sister was conceived in their caravan while their house was being built. Their decision received plenty of support in the comments, with Zack Hudson star James Farrar offering to help with the garden. More Trending 'I think you DO have a bloody clue what you're doing – and we can't wait to watch the build,' he wrote. 'I'll help with the garden and bringing good beers for sundowners. Love you lot,' he added. Other followers were quick to wish the family luck on their new adventure, with one saying: 'Good luck! I bet it will be very exciting for the boys! New adventure for the whole family!' View More » 'Absolutely fantastic! I don't envy you living in a caravan but the end result will be awesome! Can't wait to see how it all pans out. Best of luck guys!' Another said.
