He told UsWeekly: "Truthfully, it was so dumb. "It's my own fault that that happened. We were running this brutal workout through the mud holes and into the splash pond and all these things. It was absolutely freezing outside. I got hurt because I wasn't paying attention. It's my own fault that that happened. We were running this brutal workout through the mud holes and into the splash pond and all these things. It was absolutely freezing outside. I got hurt because I wasn't paying attention. "I went and sat and thawed out in the shower and the wrist was one thing. I'm pretty good with tape. I could have got through it, but there was no way I could complete the next couple of days of that show with a blown-up ankle." And Carey recalled giving the 'So What' hitmaker a scare when he called to tell her what had happened. He added: "I FaceTimed her that night. At the moment I got hurt, it was probably around midnight. So by the time I made it back to the hotel and got my phone out of the safe and all the things, it was probably 3 o'clock in the morning U.K. time. "She'd known the period of the time of the show and probably in the back of her mind, she knows anytime my phone's going to ring before that last day, I'm going to be [hurt]. So her initial [reaction] — she was wide-eyed, kind of white as a ghost, asking, 'Are you alright?' And I'm like, 'Yeah, it's just my old body!"

Pink's husband Carey Hart unveils graphic post-surgery photos after 'nasty' motocross crash
Pink's husband Carey Hart got candid about his recent motocross crash and showed the 'nasty' injuries he got with graphic Instagram photos. The racer, 49 - who was forced to exit Special Forces earlier this year due to a fall while filming - opened up to his 1.3 million followers about what occurred and sent an apology to his wife for 'putting her through this, yet again.' In one image, he could be seen sitting inside a hospital next to a monitor and another was taken of him doing a thumbs down towards the camera. Hart - who tied the knot with the singer back in 2006 - also included a mirror selfie to offer a closer look at his midriff that was covered with bandages. The next image was snapped after Carey removed the bandages to reveal a number of stitches on his torso. The couple's children Willow, 13, and Jameson, eight, also visited their father as he recovered in the hospital. In the caption, Carey humorously penned to his fans: 'Welp, I ran out of talent. I had a pretty nasty get off, practicing Thursday morning. Landed off a jump, bars knifed, and took the bar to the gut while going over the bars.' 'As I understand it, severed my small intestine from my colon,' he explained, before adding that he is 'fine' and will fully 'recover.' 'Just a big thank you to @feedbigb for talking me into going to the ER, and a huge thanks to @pink.' Hart continued, 'As always does in these situations w/ me, she steps up and takes charge at the hospital. Sorry to put you through this, yet again.' The racer then gave a special shout out to his children for visiting him and explained, 'Gonna rest up this week, and start the healing process. ***sorry to everyone I ghosted over the last couple days. 'There was a good reason for it. I'm gonna take a few days off, and I'll catch up with everyone next week,' Carey concluded. Hart began his career with motocross racing in the 90s - and has suffered a multitude of injuries over the years. During the X Games in 2001, he got hurt while attempting a backflip which resulted in him sustaining broken bones, broken ribs and a bruised tailbone. Late last year in December, Hart told TooFab: 'My body's pretty destroyed. I'm in the high 80s for broken bones.' Carey added at the time that he had just undergone his '22nd surgery on my knee' and he's 'gotten full use out of this body.' The racer also told the outlet, 'I have great doctors. I have great, amazing doctors. And that's what keeps me pushing and doing stupid s**t... I'm very stubborn.' Elsewhere in the interview, the father-of-two also reflected on his career with motocross racing. 'I've had a very successful career. I'm in my super extreme twilight of my career. I'm lucky enough to still do it. But I haven't had a chance to really push and challenge myself since probably my early 30s...' And during the third season of Special Forces - which aired earlier this year - Hart was forced to medically withdraw due to a fall. While talking to Us Weekly about his exit from the show, Hart explained that he had tripped over a 'plastic speed bump thing for all the cables' while running in the mud. He ended up injuring his 'bad ankle' and expressed that he needs to get 'that ankle fused next year. 'I have no cartilage left in that ankle - and I tripped and I hit the ground and I put my hand out. So I initially felt my wrist more than anything and completed it.' In 2008, Carey lost his brother Tony after he sustained injuries while motocross racing. 'I've always cherished family, and it's kind of hard to put into words the impact, like the death of my brother was a really, really hard and long grieving period,' he stated in an episode of Special Forces, per People. He recalled, 'My brother was racing for me, and unfortunately he had a crash on the track. He slid up the track and hit the guardrail head first and had a head injury.' Carey took time off from racing after his brother's passing and explained, 'I had to get my brother's back. I had to plan the funeral. I had to call his mother like I had to do all this stuff and not miss a beat. 'And I think I unpack things over the next, you know, three or four or five years on my own time.' Days before updating his fans about his recent crash, Carey had taken to Instagram to share a picture of his bike from Indian Motorcycle. 'FINALLY getting some shake down/break in miles on my all time favorite @indianmotorcylce. Can't wait to let it eat in the canyons soon,' he had written in the caption earlier this month. Pink and Hart tied the knot in January 2006 after the Who Knew singer proposed to him during one of his races in 2005. Two years later, the pair took time apart. But in 2009, the performer announced that they were back together after undergoing marriage counseling. The pair - who share Willow, 13, and Jameson, eight - also celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary earlier this year. Carey shared a loving tribute to his wife by uploading both a present day and throwback photo of the couple. '19 years married today to this amazing woman @pink. For over 20 years we've traveled the world, made a family, and created amazing memories & life together.

On Saturday, May 17, the former professional motocross competitor — who has been dabbling in the sport again recently, per his social media — revealed in an Instagram post that he experienced a pretty serious injury while practicing two days earlier on May 15. And, true to form, he delivered the news with his signature sense of humor. 'Welp, I ran out of talent 🤦🏻♂️🤣,' Hart, 49, kicked off the post. 'I had a pretty nasty get off, practicing Thursday morning. Landed off a jump, bars knifed, and took the bar to the gut while going over the bars.' 'As I understand it, severed my small intestine from my colon,' he continued in the post, which included several shots of him in the hospital, showing off his injury. In one, Hart posed for a mirror selfie with several bandages on his torso, and in another, he revealed what's underneath them — more than 20 stitches, mostly along one large gash in the middle of his abdomen. Despite the injury's intimidating appearance, however, Hart said he is currently doing 'fine' and 'will recover from this' — in part due to the support he received from Pink. 'Just a big thank you to @feedbigb for talking me into going to the ER, and a huge thanks to @pink,' Hart wrote of his wife of nearly two decades. 'As always does in these situations w/ me, she steps up and takes charge at the hospital [sic].' 'Thanks Willz and Jamo for coming to visit today,' he wrote. 'Gonna rest up this week, and start the healing process.' Hart wrapped his post by issuing one more apology, this time to the people whose messages he ignored in the wake of his practice injury. 'Sorry to everyone I ghosted over the last couple days. There was a good reason for it 🤣🤣,' he wrote, adding that after 'a few days off,' he will 'catch up with everyone next week.' Time to get back to the Moro grind, and maybe catch a race or two this year 🤘🏼🤘🏼.' Earlier this year, he and Pink — who tied the knot in January 2006 — celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary. '19 years ago on a beach in Costa Rica we both took a chance we weren't sure we even believed in,' Pink wrote in an anniversary tribute. 'I'm so glad we did.' 'I've been with you longer than I haven't,' the star continued in part. 'You've been my one constant. You have loved me, hated me and loved me again. I love our story no matter what gets written. It is gritty and sweet.' In a tribute of his own, Hart wrote that 'for over 20 years,' the couple has 'traveled the world, made a family, and created amazing memories & life together. Not bad for a couple kids who weren't expected to amount to anything. You are like a fine wine, and I love you.' Read the original article on People
