New England advances to face fellow Major League Soccer original Chicago, which routed Detroit City of the USL Championship, 4-0. The hosts broke the ice on the banks of the Seekonk River through Rodriguez, one of just four USLC midfielders to score in double digits out of the midfield last season. He deftly slotted a Noah Fuson cross inside the post past a diving Bono, a 10-year MLS veteran signed in December to back up Aljaz Ivacic.

Porter used Revolution II regulars Eric Klein, Liam Butts, Diarbian, and Oliveira off the bench in the second half, with Diaz playing 75 minutes and both Urruti and Chancalay 87.
New England will seek a fifth straight MLS victory on Saturday night, when it visits Orlando City.
