The last confirmed sighting of her was a mobile phone photograph taken the day after at a property in Broadway, Adamsdown. Charlene has a distinctive dragon tattoo on her back which the public were asked to look out for. Two men, aged 45 and 43, and a 38-year-old woman, were arrested in connection with the investigation, but were released on bail pending further enquiries. The 45-year-old man, now aged 46, has been further arrested by South Wales Police and released on bail as the hunt for Charlene continues. So far, the investigation into Charlene's disappearance has included ten media appeals, 400 people linked to the investigation spoken to, 629 properties visited, more than 1,000 hours of CCTV reviewed and 3,300 documents recorded. Despite the desperate and tireless efforts of police, Charlene's disappearance remains a mystery. Cops probed dozens of sightings of Charlene around the time of her disappearance with several members of the public reporting seeing the missing woman. Later a Nissan Micra was seized as part of the investigation into Charlene's disappearance. It was found in St Helen's Close, Abergavenny, on 29 October last year, the motor was originally red and largely painted black, but was found burnt-out. Detective Chief Inspector Matt Powell, from South Wales Police, said today: 'The investigation into the disappearance of Charlene is complex and meticulous. 'Despite a huge number of enquiries, which are continuing, unfortunately no one has come forward with information about what has happened to Charlene or where she is. 'We remain committed to finding Charlene and a specialist team of officers and staff are focused on the investigation.' DCI Powell added: "Charlene is a mother, a sister, a daughter, and a friend to many. "We understand that this is an extremely difficult time and, like us, they are desperate for answers. 'Charlene's family are supported by a family liaison officer, and we continue to communicate with them in line with their wishes, only to have contact when there is a significant development. ' If anyone has information, no matter how insignificant it might seem, please come forward not just for us, but for Charlene and her family.'

Police investigating the disappearance of Charlene Hobbs, 36, say a 46-year-old man arrested in connection with the investigation has been re-arrested and released on bail. The last confirmed sighting of Ms Hobbs was in a photograph of her at a property in Broadway, in the Adamsdown area of Cardiff, on 24 July last year. Her hair was tied in a bun, with a distinctive dragon tattoo on her back. In March, South Wales Police said it had launched a murder investigation into the disappearance of Ms Hobbs. Police have so far spoken to 400 people linked to the investigation, visited 629 properties as part of enquiries, reviewed more than 1,000 hours of public and private CCTV and recorded more than 3,300 documents. The force said further searches, forensic examinations, and house-to-house enquiries are taking place. The disappearance of Ms Hobbs, who is from the Adamsdown area of Cardiff, continues to be treated as a murder investigation by detectives. The charity Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £20,000 for information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible. Detectives are probing potential new sightings of a missing mother who vanished while shopping last year. Charlene Hobbs, 36, from the Riverside area of Cardiff, has been missing since July 24, 2024, after a trip to Morrisons, with police treating her disappearance as murder. The last known sighting of Charlene is when she was pictured in a property in Broadway, Adamsdown, at 06.07am. Footage also shows the 36-year-old shopping in Morrisons Local, Adamstown, the day before her last sighting. At the beginning of the clip, Ms Hobbs can be seen with her hair in a bun, wearing a dark strapless top with a distinctive dragon tattoo on her back, entering the premises with a mobile phone at her ear. Walking through the shop floor, she heads straight to what appears to be the premises' till facility before leaving with what looks like a sum of cash in her hands. However, officers have now received new information suggesting she could have been seen in the Adamsdown and Coryton areas following her disappearance. Members of the public contacted South Wales Police after believing they have seen Charlene at these locations with unknown people.
