Timothée Chalamet 'Mauled' By Fans After Knicks Take Down Celtics At MSG
got swarmed by fans on Thursday night, and no, it wasn't for a movie premiere. The 'Dune' star found himself in the middle of some serious NYC chaos after the Knicks pulled off a jaw-dropping 119-81 win over the Celtics in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The electric victory sent the team to its first Eastern Conference Finals in 25 years, and fans took to the streets in droves to celebrate. Caught in the madness? Timothée Chalamet himself. In a now-viral clip making the rounds on social media, the Oscar nominee was seen leaning out the window of his car, beaming with excitement, when he was suddenly grabbed by a fan in what looked like a mix between a hug and a headlock. 'Timothée Chalamet getting mauled by Knicks fans,' one fan captioned the video. But that didn't stop him from soaking in the moment. The actor looked just as hyped as the rest of NYC, and even got in on the celebration, flashing a smile as he embraced the wild energy around him. Chalamet wasn't the only celeb courtside at Madison Square Garden. He was spotted sitting next to , while and girlfriend , who, by the way, are now living together, were also seen cheesing for the cameras. Other A-listers in attendance included , Jon Stewart, , and the always-animated . Off the court, Chalamet's love life is making just as many headlines. After months of speculation, Timothée and finally confirmed their romance with a stunning red-carpet debut, not at the Met Gala as many predicted, but just two days later at a photocall in Rome for the 70th David Di Donatello Awards at Cinecittà Studios on May 7. Dressed in coordinating black ensembles, the duo looked effortlessly chic and totally smitten. The two then attended Coachella, which is when a source told PEOPLE that the couple is 'very serious.' "They are making it work," the insider shared of their busy schedules. "Kylie is truly his biggest fan. She would clear her schedule to attend awards and premieres with him. She couldn't be more supportive of his career." Earlier this month, insiders revealed that Chalamet and Jenner are still going strong nearly two years into their relationship, and that part of their success comes down to one thing. Privacy. A source told Daily Mail that the couple has made a conscious effort to keep their romance away from the cameras, especially when it comes to Jenner's reality TV empire. 'Timothée has drawn a firm line when it comes to Jenner's reality TV world,' the insider said. But just because they're keeping things private doesn't mean it's not serious. In fact, The Blast reported back in March that Chalamet allegedly dropped $300,000 on a diamond ring, believed to be an engagement ring for Jenner. According to sources, the 'A Complete Unknown' star has been 'quietly planning his proposal for a couple of months,' reportedly browsing luxury jewelers in New York and Paris before selecting the perfect custom piece from a high-end Parisian designer. 'The ring, made by the Parisian designer, is incredibly special and will take six weeks to complete,' a source shared. 'He's ready to get engaged and envisions a long, happy future with Kylie.' Another insider added, 'I have never seen him so happy. He has been telling us for a while now how deeply in love he is.' The couple is also rumored to be eyeing luxury properties in Milan and Paris, fueling speculation that a major life step, or even a European relocation, could be on the horizon. From potential proposals to nearly getting tackled by Knicks fans, Timothée Chalamet is having one very memorable spring.

Mel Gibson's THE RESURRECTION OF THE CHRIST Confirmed To Shoot This Summer — GeekTyrant
Mel Gibson's long-awaited The Passion of the Christ sequel, titled The Resurrection of the Christ , is ofifically moving forward and is set to start shooting in August at Rome's Cinecittà Studios. The new was announced by CEO Manuela Cacciamani. Jim Caviezel is expected to return to play Jesus in the film, while Maia Morgenstern, who played Jesus' mother in 'The Passion,' and Francesco De Vito, who portrayed Peter, are also reportedly on board. Gibson previously talked about the sequel calling it 'an acid trip' He went on to say that he'd 'never read anything like' the script, which Gibson's been writing alongside Randall Wallace. He continued offering some details: 'My brother and I and Randall all sort of congregated on this. So there's some good heads put together, but there's some crazy stuff. 'And I think in order to really tell the story properly you have to really start with the fall of the angels, which means you're in another place, you're in another realm. You need to go to hell. You need to go to Sheol.' Gibson said that he plans to bring Jim Caviezel back to the role of Jesus. Gibson said he would need to incorporate 'a few techniques' such as CGI de-aging on Caviezel since more than 20 years have passed since the first film. Gibson described the film as 'very ambitious' and said the story not only covers 'the fall of the angels' but also 'the death of the last apostle.' He said: 'It's about finding the way in that's not cheesy or too obvious. I think I have ideas about how to do that and how to evoke things and emotions in people from the way you depict it and the way you shoot it. 'So I've been thinking about it for a long time. It's not going to be easy and it's going to require a lot of planning and I'm not wholly sure I can pull it off to tell you the truth, it's super ambitious. 'But I'll take a crack at it because that's what you got to do, right, walk up to the plate, right?' Gibson previously talked about the movie saying that its 'not a linear narrative,' adding that 'you have to juxtapose the central event that I'm trying to tell with everything else around it in the future, in the past, and in other realms, and that's kind of getting a little sci-fi out there.' Mel Gibson, Trump 'Special Ambassador', & Italian Producer Andrea Iervolino Propose U.S.-Italy Co-Production Treaty
Recently appointed 'special ambassador' to Hollywood Mel Gibson and Italian producer Andrea Iervolino (Ferrari) are proposing a co-production agreement between Italy and the US, which they hope could serve as a 'pilot project' for the development of similar treaties between the US and other countries around the world. The filmmakers are proposing that: More from Deadline Mel Gibson's Gun Rights Restored Following Justice Department Attorney's Firing 'The Resurrection Of The Christ:' Mel Gibson To Begin Shooting Sequel This Summer, Says Rome's Cinecittà Studios Boss John Oliver Takes Jab At Mel Gibson Following Justice Dept. Attorney Firing: "Best Known For His Work In Screaming" •Italian producers are incentivized to make Italian films in the USA, involving American stars and therefore investing in the U.S.; •The Italian government launches support programs for productions that strengthen cultural ties between Italy and the United States. We understand from sources that Iervolino and Gibson met recently and agreed on the proposal. According to reports, Gibson is due to begin filming his Passion Of The Christ sequel The Resurrection Of The Christ in Italy this summer. The main benefits of the agreement would be that it would 'allow Italian producers to develop and co-produce international films between Italy and the United States, thus opening new markets; and that it will offer the USA the opportunity to attract new foreign investments, supporting the goals of the Trump agenda'. Iervolino, who as we recently revealed is working on a Trump biopic, estimates the value of such a pact could be as much as $10BN annually in direct investments in the US, thereby encouraging local American production while also giving future participating countries the opportunity to internationalize their local film industries. No word yet whether Gibson has floated the proposal with the U.S. government. The goal, Iervolino says, is to officially sign the agreement during the 2025 Venice Film Festival, a cornerstone of both the Italian and international film industry. The aim is to involve 'authoritative representatives' of both industries and both governments. An Italian-US co-production treaty has been an ambition of Italian industry for a little while. Last year there were reports that Cinecittà's Roberto Stabile was working on a similar pact with Washington but the scent went cold. Japan currently has a similar co-production treaty with the U.S. Iervolino stated: 'The world must recognize that the American entertainment industry has always been the leading one globally: it remains the main point of reference, capable of setting the rules of the industry worldwide. Meanwhile, many countries have established incentive programs to attract foreign productions and have signed bilateral agreements with various nations — but never with the United States. This has essentially left a crucial cultural bridge unresolved. It is therefore essential to initiate a win-win agreement between the USA and the rest of the world. Mel Gibson and I are actively working in this direction, using this initial agreement with Italy as inspiration for the rest of the world.' A draft version of fellow 'special ambassador' Jon Voight's plan for Hollywood was recently revealed by Deadline and included a 10% federal tax incentive for film and TV production and an American 'cultural test' akin to the rules in the UK. Voight, Gibson and Sylvester Stallone were appointed 'special ambassadors' by Trump earlier this year. The background here is that the industry has been scrambled by Trump's announcement last week of tariffs on U.S. projects that shoot overseas. Beyond Conclave: 10 other movies that feature the Vatican
If you've seen Conclave, Edward Berger's excellent political thriller, you'll have some idea of what goes on behind the scenes at the secretive papal conclave. So with all eyes on Rome this week as cardinals meet to elect a successor to Pope Francis from behind the closed doors of the Sistine Chapel, here's a look at five other films set in or around the Vatican... THE GODFATHER PART III (1990) While the first installment of Francis Ford Coppola's magnum opus was set in New York City, and the second largely in Sicily, much of Part III was based in Rome - particularly around the Vatican City, as Michael Corleone becomes involved in nefarious business dealings involving the Vatican Bank. THE DA VINCI CODE (2006) & ANGELS AND DEMONS (2009) Both of Dan Brown's novels were adapted for the big screen in 2006 and 2009, and while both had scenes set within the Vatican - Angels & Demons opens with the death of a pope and preparations for a conclave - the church unsurprisingly denied Ron Howard permission to film there. Instead, other venues around Rome doubled for interior scenes, while Winchester Cathedral was a stand-in for the Vatican in The Da Vinci Code. MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE III (2006) The world's most famous Scientologist breaking into the seat of the Catholic Church? It happened in M:I3, when Tom Cruise donned a cassock to go undercover in the Vatican - which was really Reggia di Caserta near Naples. However, some exterior shots were filmed in St. Peter's Square. ROMAN HOLIDAY (1953) Of course one of the most timeless Rome-set films ever made had to feature the Vatican in some way. St. Peter's Basilica features in the film's opening sequence, while the nearby Castel Sant'Angelo also features during a scene where Audrey Hepburn dances with Gregory Peck before a brawl breaks out. EUROTRIP (2004) Bet you weren't expecting this one. If the Church doesn't allow some of the world's most esteemed filmmakers to shoot within the Vatican City, you can bet they didn't let the makers of this 2004 goofy 'teen sex comedy'. Nevertheless, a sequence is set within the Vatican when main characters Scott and Cooper break into the Pope's private quarters in the midst of a conclave. THE TWO POPES (2019) Well, the clue is in the title: of course the Vatican is going to feature in some way. In Fernando Meirelles's 2019 drama, we witness a fictionalised discussion between Pope Benedict XVI (Anthony Hopkins) and the then-Cardinal Bergoglio (Jonathan Pryce) in the wake of the Vatican leaks scandal. Much of the film is set within the walls of the Vatican, although the actual filming locations were spread across Rome and a full-scale replica of the Sistine Chapel was constructed at Rome's Cinecittà Studios. MADAGASCAR 3: EUROPE'S MOST WANTED (2012) It's not just live action movies that feature the Eternal City; in Madagascar 3, a group of intrepid animals find themselves pursued across Europe as they attempt to get back to New York City. One scene features King Julien, the ring-tailed lemur, kissing the Pope's ring in the Vatican. LA DOLCE VITA (1960) Fellini's best film? La Dolce Vita is certainly one of the iconic Italian director's most celebrated works. Set in Rome, one sequence heavily features the Vatican as jaded journalist Marcello pursues a woman up the 551 steps of St. Peter's Dome, which overlooks the magnificent square. As with The Two Popes, a replica of the dome was built at Cinecittà Studios. SPECTRE (2015) It only took fifty years for film's most famous spy to land in Rome. much of Spectre was shot in the Italian capital, while a thrilling car chase through its streets passes up the cobbled Via della Conciliazione, with St. Peter's Basilica looming majestically in the background.

Pop star Mika believes celebrity culture is 'toxic'
Mika believes celebrity culture is "toxic". The 'Grace Kelly' singer released his first album 'Life in Cartoon Motion' in 2007 and over the course of 18 years he has seen the problems that being famous can cause in your life. Mika, 41, accepts that he, like other artists, "play into it in unhealthy ways" but he always relies on his songwriting and music to keep him grounded. In an interview with Italian newspaper Il Corriere della Sera, he said: "Fame culture is toxic, we see it all around us. We all play into it in unhealthy ways, because we know exactly what we're doing, on social media, with the press, in front of the paparazzi. "I know there's a commercial side to what I do, but it's the craft, the artistic side, that I care about most. That's what keeps me mentally grounded: the craft is a remedy for the more superficial aspects, it protects you from the gaze of others - especially those who don't really know you." Mika insists in his everyday life he does not consider himself to be a star, but when he is performing live he transforms into someone else. But the response he receives to his music when he performs live still doesn't prevent him from suffering from a lack of confidence when he writes new songs. He said: "I change. In everyday life it's one thing, I'm 'normal', but when I go on stage I transform completely, as if it were a spiritual rite. And in fact it is. "There's a big contrast between my life, my soul and my energy when I'm on stage in front of 50,000 people, and when I come off stage. Alone, at the piano or at my desk, I feel like crap: will I be able to create something new?' Mika will be co-hosting the David di Donatello Awards with actress Elena Sofia Ricci on May 7 at Cinecittà Studios in Rome, with the ceremony recognising the best Italian films of 2024. Mika admires 'Orgoglio' star Elena and can't wait to host the awards ceremony which is celebrating its 70th year. He said: "She has fabulous energy, she is intellectual, but emotionally very accessible. She is touching, she is a strong woman. so many qualities that make it impossible to pigeonhole her. And then she is fabulously diva. "The idea, in the 70th year, is to celebrate everyone's work, not only the big stars, but also the artisans who make this magic possible."
