Jelly Roll Charts A New No. 1 With A Special Duet
Brandon Lake and Jelly Roll hit No. 1 on two Billboard charts with 'Hard Fought Hallelujah,' as the ... More duet version becomes the most popular edition in the U.S. LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - SEPTEMBER 15: Jelly Roll attends the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards at Peacock Theater on September 15, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by) For several months now, a track titled "Hard Fought Hallelujah" has been one of the most popular in America, as well as one of the biggest Christian hits in quite some time. While it might not have reached the radar of all listeners, millions across the United States have already discovered the Brandon Lake smash. The tune has been charting on Billboard rankings for months, and the genre superstar has recently taken big steps to turn it into a significant, and rare, religious-themed crossover hit. This week, the tune officially becomes a collaboration on every ranking, as the collaborative version is now the most popular. "Hard Fought Hallelujah" is now officially a duet between Lake and Jelly Roll. The updated take on what was once a solo composition was released back in early February, but it wasn't always the most-consumed edition. Billboard typically credits one version of a song on the charts, favoring whichever earns the most consumption. If the solo edition of a track like "Hard Fought Hallelujah" earns more activity, then the streams and sales of a newly released remix — such as the one featuring Jelly — contribute to the title's overall success. But the featured musician doesn't always receive official credit. Jelly is now named on the tune as it arrives on one tally and soars on others. This week, "Hard Fought Hallelujah" debuts at No. 1 on the Country Digital Song Sales chart, Billboard's ranking of the bestselling country tracks in America. The smash enters in the top spot, giving Lake his first leader and Jelly his third career winner on this list. He first led in April 2023 with "Need a Favor" and returned to the summit alongside Jessie Murph on "Wild Ones" in October of that year. Jelly is surely thrilled to see "Hard Fought Hallelujah" rule the Country Digital Song Sales chart, as quite a few of his previous hits peaked in the runner-up spot. "Son of a Sinner," "Save Me" with Lainey Wilson, "I Am Not Okay," "Lonely Road" with MGK (previously known as Machine Gun Kelly) and "Believe" with Brooks & Dunn all missed the mark by just one space. Jelly has now earned a milestone 15 top 10s out of 20 total appearances on the roster. Lake and Jelly Roll also dominate the all-genre Digital Song Sales chart this week with "Hard Fought Hallelujah." The track rockets from No. 14 to the summit, marking its second stint at No. 1. Luminate reports that sales of the title grew by more than 200% week over week, totaling just under 8,700 copies sold in the U.S. in the last time around. "Hard Fought Hallelujah" is also on the rise across numerous other Billboard charts, as the cross-genre tune is becoming a serious smash in America. It bolts into the top 40 on the Hot 100, settling at No. 40. The tune climbs slightly on the Country Airplay chart, stepping up from No. 60 — where it debuted last week — to No. 56. Meanwhile, it rules the Rock Digital Song Sales chart for a twelfth consecutive frame.

Morgan Wallen Barely Misses Hitting No. 1 On Multiple Billboard Charts
Morgan Wallen is inching closer and closer to the release of what may be the largest album debut of 2025: his upcoming full-length I'm the Problem. He's already produced a slew of hits from a project that isn't even out yet, and which won't be for several weeks. The country superstar dropped a brand new single a little over a week ago, and it's immediately become another smash to add to his ever-expanding list of favorites. 'I Ain't Coming Back,' his latest collaboration with Post Malone, almost returned him to the No. 1 spot on a pair of Billboard rankings. This frame, the tune misses that mark by a single space, becoming another hit — but not a champion. 'I Ain't Coming Back' launches in the runner-up spot on both the Streaming Songs and Country Digital Song Sales charts. The former list covers all genres and ranks the most-played titles across major platforms such as Tidal, Apple Music, Napster, iHeartRadio, and Spotify. The latter focuses specifically on the top-performing country tracks in terms of digital purchases, with each tune's style defined by Billboard. While Wallen doesn't add to his growing list of leaders this frame, he's previously topped both of these charts. He has now earned four No. 1s on the Streaming Songs tally, which is a significant achievement for a country musician. Two singles from I'm the Problem — the title cut and 'Love Somebody' — each spent one turn at No. 1. His prior team-up with Malone, 'I Had Some Help,' earned two weeks at the summit. 'Last Night,' arguably his biggest smash, ruled the Country Digital Song Sales chart for 19 frames. While it doesn't top every chart this frame, 'I Ain't Coming Back' does manage to conquer one Billboard tally. The cut opens in first place on the latest edition of the Country Streaming Songs chart. It opens at No. 1, earning Wallen his sixteenth leader on that roster and giving Malone his second career chart-topper in the country field. Different tracks block Wallen and Malone from hitting No. 1 on both the Streaming Songs and Country Digital Song Sales lists. On the former, newcomer Alex Warren surges to the summit with 'Ordinary,' which is quickly shaping up to be not just his breakout tune, but one of the hottest hits of 2025. On the Country Digital Song Sales roster, 'Hard Fought Hallelujah,' a duet between Brandon Lake and Jelly Roll, reigns. The track had been available for a while as a solo cut, but the addition of Jelly elevates it to the top of this genre-specific list. 'I Ain't Coming Back' debuts on eight Billboard rankings this week. It opens inside the top 10 on all but two of them, and manages to enter that uppermost tier on three of the most important lists published by the company: the Hot 100 (No. 8), Digital Song Sales (No. 4), and, of course, Streaming Songs rosters (No. 2).

Jelly Roll's First Acting Role Produces A New Top 10 Single
Jelly Roll's new single 'Dreams Don't Die' debuts inside the top 10 on two Billboard charts as he ... More becomes a TV actor for the first time. LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - SEPTEMBER 15: Jelly Roll attends the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards at Peacock Theater on September 15, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by) For much of the past year, Jelly Roll has been hard at work promoting his full-length Beautifully Broken, a project that's already enjoyed a long life on the charts. Even before it arrived, the genre-blurring artist was hyping singles tied to the effort. But now, he's moved on to something new. Jelly returns this week with an exciting release, one that doesn't appear on his most recent album, but rather, was released to celebrate something of a career pivot. The newly-released 'Dreams Don't Die' enters Billboard's tallies this week. The cut opens inside the top 10 on two charts and manages a respectable start on a third. The single kicks off its run at No. 3 on the Country Digital Song Sales chart, making it one of the bestselling tracks in the U.S. in its debut frame. On the all-genre Digital Song Sales list, the tune lands at No. 9, marking another top 10 smash on a highly-competitive list that includes tracks from all musical styles. According to Luminate, 'Dreams Don't Die' sold 3,500 copies in its first full frame. While 'Dreams Don't Die' is performing best on the two sales-focused lists, it also makes its way to a third ranking. The track begins its run on the Hot Country Songs chart at No. 35. That placement is a bit further down than on the purchase-only tallies, but it's still a top 40 win. It's clear that the tune's early success is being driven primarily by dedicated fans purchasing it outright. That direct support helped push it onto the Hot Country Songs list — even if it hasn't quite gained major traction via radio and streaming platforms. With 'Dreams Don't Die,' Jelly Roll earns two more top 10 hits to add to his growing list of chart successes. The cut is now his tenth top 10 on the Digital Song Sales chart and his fifteenth on the Country Digital Song Sales ranking. The new single also marks his twentieth placement in total on the Country Digital Song Sales chart and his twenty-second on the overall Digital Song Sales list. 'Dreams Don't Die' wasn't released just to hold fans over between albums. It arrived tied to a special moment in Jelly's career. The tune was unveiled to help promote his brief but buzzed-about cameo on Fire Country, the CBS drama. In the episode, Jelly plays a man whose backstory closely mirrors his own. The character spent time incarcerated and has since turned his life around — a journey that's similar to what the musician himself went through, which he has spoken about openly since becoming a Grammy-nominated star.

Morgan Wallen Is Outselling Everyone In Country, Just Before His Album Drops
Morgan Wallen returns to No. 1 with 'I'm the Problem,' and places five songs in the top 10 of the ... More Country Digital Song Sales chart ahead of his new album dropping. NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE - MAY 02: Morgan Wallen performs onstage during night one of his One Night At A Time 2024 tour at Nissan Stadium on May 02, 2024 in Nashville, Tennessee. (Photo byfor Morgan Wallen's One Night At A Time 2024) Morgan Wallen is quickly getting ready for the release of his next full-length, I'm the Problem, which is expected to arrive next month. As anticipation for the album builds, the country singer has been steadily releasing new tunes from the project, and so far, every single has found a home on Billboard's country rankings. Thanks largely to fans rushing to buy these fresh tunes, he's managed a particular feat on one list this time around, proving his dominance in the genre once again. Wallen once again leads the Country Digital Song Sales chart this frame, and in a move that shows just how huge he is right now, he also bookends the 15-spot roster. 'I'm the Problem,' the single that shares its name with his upcoming album, lifts from No. 3 to No. 1. This frame marks its second stint in the penthouse. At the same time, Wallen is also present at the very bottom of the list as well. 'I Had Some Help,' a collaborative tune fronted by Post Malone, reappears at No. 15. The former leader mounts a comeback after a short absence from the tally. Last week, Wallen was also in charge of the Country Digital Song Sales ranking, but with a different tune. His single 'Just In Case' debuted at No. 1 during the previous frame. Now, that song slides one rung to No. 2, allowing 'I'm the Problem' to reclaim the top spot. This kind of back-to-back chart-topping activity is nothing new for Wallen, as he's traded one winner for another multiple times in the past on this roster. Wallen's chart wins this week extend well beyond just the top two. He claims a total of five spaces inside the top 10 on the Country Digital Song Sales list — something only the biggest names in music can manage. 'I'm a Little Crazy' dips slightly to No. 4, while 'Love Somebody' settles right behind it at No. 5. Further down, 'Smile,' another new cut taken from the I'm the Problem album — slides to No. 8. All of the aforementioned tracks have previously peaked at No. 1… except for 'I'm a Little Crazy.' That tune was blocked from reaching the summit by 'Just In Case,' which arrived at the same time. Wallen competed against himself that week, and only one song could walk away with the top debut.

Morgan Wallen Trades One No. 1 For Another
Morgan Wallen replaces himself at No. 1 on the Country Digital Song Sales chart, as 'I'm the ... More Problem' overtakes 'Just in Case' for the top spot. NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE - NOVEMBER 08: EDITORIAL USE ONLY: Morgan Wallen attends the 2023 CMA Awards at Bridgestone Arena on November 08, 2023 in Nashville, Tennessee. (Photo by Taylor Hill/WireImage) Morgan Wallen's new full-length I'm the Problem is coming up fast, as the project is expected to drop in May. The country superstar has been steadily rolling out singles for months — several of which dropped just recently — and they're all doing a lot more than simply holding their own. His latest smashes aren't just charting, they're selling in large quantities, and that consistency helps Wallen achieve a somewhat rare feat this week as he replaces himself at No. 1 on a Billboard chart. Wallen is once again in charge of the Country Digital Song Sales chart. On Billboard's ranking of the bestselling country tunes in the U.S., he trades one winner for another. The title track from his upcoming album I'm the Problem bolts from No. 3 to No. 1, returning to the summit for a second stay at the peak. The cut has now spent nine frames somewhere on the list, and two of them have been in the driver's seat. Last frame, 'Just in Case' opened at No. 1, earning Wallen yet another champion. That tune dips slightly, but it's hardly gone. This time around, the cut lands at No. 2. Both 'I'm the Problem' and 'Just in Case' recently joined Wallen's ever-expanding roster of chart-toppers on the Country Digital Song Sales ranking. He's now pushed 16 tracks to the top spot on the roster throughout his career. Out of the 51 total tunes he's landed on the list, 41 have broken into the top 10. While it's common for artists to land multiple hits on a single chart, Wallen takes that idea to the next level, as he comes incredibly close to sweeping the entire top five on the Country Digital Song Sales chart this week. In addition to both 'I'm the Problem' and 'Just in Case,' two other recent releases are still performing extremely well. 'I'm a Little Crazy' and 'Love Somebody' both dip slightly, falling to Nos. 4 and 5, respectively. The only song in the top five not attributed to Wallen is 'Can't Cancel All of Us' by Tom MacDonald. The politically-inclined musician debuts at No. 3 with his latest effort. Wallen doesn't stop at the top five on the Country Digital Song Sales chart, as he manages to occupy half of the entire top 10 this frame. Another recent single, 'Smile,' taken from I'm the Problem, slips slightly from No. 6 to No. 8. He also closes out the 15-space ranking with a re-entry: 'I Had Some Help,' his hit collaboration with Post Malone. That champion returns at No. 15. The former No. 1 has now spent 43 weeks on the tally, tying Jelly Roll's 'I Am Not Okay' as the second-longest-charting title present on the list. Only one composition, 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)' by Shaboozey, beats them both. That single, one of the most successful in American history, continues to sell, as it's now spent 51 weeks on the Country Digital Song Sales chart, and currently sits at No. 6.
