Cyberabad Commissionerate marks June 2 celebrations with gusto
Hyderabad: The 11th Telangana State Formation Day was celebrated with utmost enthusiasm on June 2 at the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate. The event commenced with the National Flag being unfurled by Cyberabad police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty. The Commissioner also received the Guard of Honour from the Parade Commander. On this occasion, the commissioner emphasised the importance of collective effort in building a strong and progressive Telangana. He called upon all personnel to serve with unity, dedication, and renewed energy. 'By giving our best in every role, we can make a meaningful impact and uphold the true spirit of service,' he stated. He concluded by extending his best wishes to all, saying, 'I hope you achieve great success in your career.' Cyberabad police bans gatherings near exam centres
Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty ordered for prohibiting assembly of five or more persons around a 200-metre radius at all the examination centres of Intermediate Public Advance Supplementary Examinations. The examinations will be conducted from May 22 to May 29. Further, photocopy (xerox) and internet centres shall be closed within a radius of 100 metres from the centres. However, the following are exempted from the operation of this order - police officers on duty, military personnel on duty, home guards on duty, flying squad of the Education Department and funeral processions. The order will remain in force from May 22 to May 29 at all the examination centres of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate. The public informed that any person violating the orders shall be liable for prosecution under Section-163 of BNSS.

1,113 caught for drunk-driving in city, Cyberabad
Hyderabad: In a major drive against drunk-driving, the Cyberabad Traffic Police caught 306 persons during late-night checks conducted on week-ends across multiple locations under the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate. In Hyderabad, 807 drunk-driving cases were booked in a week. According to the Cyberabad traffic police, of total 306, two-wheeler drivers were 246, three-wheeler drivers nine and 50 were four-wheeler and one heavy vehicle driver. The police said 32 offenders were found with blood alcohol concentrations (BAC) ranging between 200 mg/100 ml and 550 mg/100 ml. All apprehended will be presented before the court. The Miyapur zone reported 51 cases followed by RC Puram 34, Balanagar 26, Shamshabad and Jeedimetla 24 respectively. Meanwhile, the Hyderabad police between May 10 and 16 conducted a drive. Of the total 807 offenders, 696 were two-wheelers, 39 three-wheelers, 71 cars and one driver of heavy vehicles. The police said 42 offenders were found with BAC of 200 mg/100 ml and above. As many as 19 were aged between 18-20. While the highest offenders were aged between 21-33 with 304 offenders followed by 278 in 31-40 age group and 147 offenders 41-50 years old. In a special drive the police found drivers were engaged in both underage drinking and drunk driving. While the traffic police booked cases against them for drunk driving, the law and order police would have to follow up and find where they bought liquor. The police warned if people indulge in driving under influence of alcohol and cause accidents resulting in fatalities, they will be arrested and charged under Section 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), which carries a maximum sentence upto 10 years in jail along with a fine, said a police officer.

Drone ban over Miss World venues: Cyberabad police enforce no-fly zone from May 2 to June 2
Hyderabad, May 1 (PTI) Ahead of the Miss World pageant scheduled to be held in Hyderabad, the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate has prohibited the flying of remotely controlled drones, para-gliders, and microlight aircraft over various areas, including the international airport and the event's grand finale venue, on different dates between May 2 and June 2. The 72nd edition of the Miss World pageant will take place in Telangana from May 7 to 31, according to the organisers. The opening and closing ceremonies, including the grand finale, are scheduled to be held in Hyderabad.

The opening and closing ceremonies, including the grand finale, are scheduled to be held in a notification issued on Thursday, the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate stated that no flying activity will be allowed over areas including RGI Airport, Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, T-Hub, HITEX Exhibition Centre, Shilparamam, and Shilpakalavedika, within a 100-metre prevent danger or injury to individuals and to ensure the safety and security of all concerned, Commissioner of Police Avinash Mohanty issued the no-flying order under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).The notification warned that anyone found violating the order would be punishable under the relevant sections of the law.
