TWICE Faces Mic Cut-Off At Lollapalooza After Refusing To Leave Stage
Just when TWICE began interacting with the crowd at Lollapalooza, their microphones were suddenly turned off. TWICE made history by performing at the Lollapalooza in Chicago this week. The nine members, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu, delighted fans by singing their famous hits and new songs. The crowd loved their energy and excitement throughout the set. But just when the group began interacting with the crowd, their microphones were suddenly turned off. Both TWICE and their fans wanted the performance to continue, but it looked like the organisers decided not to extend their time on stage. After finishing their set, the South Korean group stayed on stage to cheer with the crowd and thank their fans. During that moment, one member even shouted, 'You guys want some more?" which received a louder cheer from fans. However, the group realised their microphones were abruptly switched off. The members waved at the camera one by one and slowly left the stage. Amid this, one member was seen speaking into the mic before it was cut off again. TWICE ended their Lollapalooza set after performing 21 songs, including The Feels, More & More, Dance The Night Away, What Is Love?, Talk That Talk, Alcohol-free, I Got You, Stuck In My Head, Icon, I Can't Stop Me, Cry For Me, Right Hand Girl, Takedown, Fancy, Queen Of Hearts, Moonlight Sunrise, One Spark, Strategy, Feel Special And This Is For. One special moment during the show was a reference to the Netflix film, KPop Demon Hunters. Just before the group took the stage, the sky lit up with the words, The Honmoon Is Sealed. K-pop group Twice will perform twice in Singapore this October
Singapore K-pop fans, get ready to feel all The Feels – beloved girl group Twice has announced the stops for their This Is For world tour, and Singapore is on the list. The group will be performing not just one, but two nights this October, giving Onces the chance to Dance The Night Away. Other cities on the tour include Bangkok, Tokyo, Sydney and Hong Kong. This marks their return to Singapore after their last performance here in 2023 during the Ready To Be tour. Since debuting in 2015, the nine-member group has skyrocketed to fame with chart-topping hits like TT, What Is Love? and Cheer Up. Their popularity has extended well beyond South Korea, with a massive following across Asia and other parts of the world. Over the years, Twice has also collaborated with international stars such as Coldplay and Megan Thee Stallion. The group is made up of Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu – several of whom have also launched successful solo careers. When is Twice performing in Singapore in 2025? Twice will perform in Singapore on October 11 and 12, 2025 as part of their world tour. Twice will perform at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in 2025. Schools closed, professional sports seasons ended prematurely and many, many concert tours were cancelled. One of those tours belonged to David Lee Roth. To add insult to injury, two days before the novel Coronavirus officially hit North America, Roth wrote 'the tour is really heating up baby' on Instagram. Now, five long years later, the former Van Halen frontman — who unofficially retired in 2021 — is finally returning to the road. From July through September, Roth, 70, will hit arenas, theaters, ballrooms, state fairs and wineries all over North America. That includes stops at Atlantic City's Hard Rock Live on Friday, Aug. 8, Huntington, NY's Paramount Theatre on Sunday, Aug. 10 and Verona, NY's Turning Stone Resort Casino on Friday, Aug. 15. Prior to his run, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer performed for the first time in five years at Columbia, MD's M3 Rock Festival on May 3. The 16-song set was largely comprised of Van Halen hits, including but not limited to 'Panama,' 'Dance The Night Away,' 'Runnin' With The Devil,' 'Hot For Teacher' and 'Jump.' According to Loudwire, he was joined by a 'newly expanded backing band' that included 'guitarist Al Estrada, bassist Ryan Wheeler, drummer Francis Valentino…a keyboard player…[and] a four-piece group of backing vocalists.'
