News183 days ago
Just when TWICE began interacting with the crowd at Lollapalooza, their microphones were suddenly turned off.
TWICE made history by performing at the Lollapalooza in Chicago this week. The nine members, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu, delighted fans by singing their famous hits and new songs. The crowd loved their energy and excitement throughout the set. But just when the group began interacting with the crowd, their microphones were suddenly turned off. Both TWICE and their fans wanted the performance to continue, but it looked like the organisers decided not to extend their time on stage.
After finishing their set, the South Korean group stayed on stage to cheer with the crowd and thank their fans. During that moment, one member even shouted, 'You guys want some more?" which received a louder cheer from fans. However, the group realised their microphones were abruptly switched off. The members waved at the camera one by one and slowly left the stage. Amid this, one member was seen speaking into the mic before it was cut off again.
TWICE ended their Lollapalooza set after performing 21 songs, including The Feels, More & More, Dance The Night Away, What Is Love?, Talk That Talk, Alcohol-free, I Got You, Stuck In My Head, Icon, I Can't Stop Me, Cry For Me, Right Hand Girl, Takedown, Fancy, Queen Of Hearts, Moonlight Sunrise, One Spark, Strategy, Feel Special And This Is For. One special moment during the show was a reference to the Netflix film, KPop Demon Hunters. Just before the group took the stage, the sky lit up with the words, The Honmoon Is Sealed.

TWICE was formed by JYP Entertainment through the survival show Sixteen in 2015. They officially debuted with their first EP, The Story Begins, and the catchy lead single Like Ooh-Ahh. Over the years, the girl group has become one of the most loved K-pop groups, which has won hearts around the world with their music, energy and teamwork.

I feel the power of K-dramas when I visit different countries: South Korean star Park Min-young

New Delhi, Park Min-young, the popular South Korean star best known for "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim?", says she truly feels the global impact of K-dramas when she's recognised in unexpected corners of foreign countries. I feel the power of K-dramas when I visit different countries: South Korean star Park Min-young The actor said such moments, especially outside major cities, make her realise just how far-reaching and influential Korean dramas have become worldwide. "It hits me when I go visit different countries and not in the city, but when I go to the countryside and there are people who recognize me. "When you're in the city, I think that's pretty much expected. But if there are people who know me when I am in a different country and in the countryside, that's when I can truly feel the power of Korean drama and how popular it is," Park told PTI in an exclusive interview. She is one of the most popular South Korean actors and became a household name thanks to her impressive range of roles across hit dramas. From portraying a woman disguised as a man in the gender-bending "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" and a determined journalist in "Healer", to a sharp-witted secretary in "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim?" and a devoted fangirl in "Her Private Life", Park has consistently showcased her versatility on screen. Her next project is "Confidence Queen", a crime comedy series from Prime Video in which she stars alongside actors Park Hee-soon and Joo Jong-hyuk. It will premiere on September 6. A remake of the Japanese show "The Confidence Man JP", the series features Park as Yi-rang, a smart woman who becomes the ultimate con artist. She joins forces with James and Gu-ho to form a trio of swindlers who take down scammers and reclaim their illicit gains. Park admitted that she didn't watch the original show, except for one episode which was universally praised to be the "most fun one". "And while the character Dako is a very charming character indeed, it's been over 10 years since that show came out and also acting and performing styles change with time as well. "So I tried more to really do the studying myself and developed the character to bring a truly Korean style version." She may be playing a confident con artist on screen, but where does Park Min-young find her own confidence? In reality, Park said, she does not consider herself to be the "most confident person". "When I was portraying the character Yi-rang, I actually envied her and I had a lot of fun portraying her in real life. When I try to pick myself up from those moments when you don't feel that much confidence, I try to look back on my career and think about all the things that I've done during the 20 years of my career. "I would look back at it and think I was able to do this, I also achieved this, then there shouldn't be any issue why I can't do this next thing. So I try to look back on it and pick myself up," Park said. This article was generated from an automated news agency feed without modifications to text.

Kunal Kemmu Turns Singer-Songwriter With Debut Single ‘Loche', A Fun Anthem For Life's Chaos

Kunal Kemmu makes his singer-songwriter debut with Loche, a witty and relatable track about life's everyday chaos. Stream the song now and join the fun. Kunal Kemmu, known for his sharp comic timing on screen and his promising turn as a director, has now added another creative feather to his cap —singer-songwriter. The actor has released his debut single, Loche, a refreshingly candid anthem for the young, restless, and slightly disoriented. Written and performed by Kunal himself, Loche is equal parts cheeky and relatable. It playfully captures the unpredictable rhythm of young adulthood — those endless detours, delays, and disruptions that derail even the most carefully made plans. Drawing inspiration from his own life, Kunal transforms the everyday hiccups into a spirited track that finds humour and charm in life's chaos. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Kunal Kemmu (@kunalkemmu) 'Loche is really a piece of my life — and I think a lot of others will see theirs in it too," Kunal shared. 'It's about those little everyday things that throw us off course but also make life interesting. I didn't want to paint a perfect picture — I wanted to sing about the mess, the madness, and the fun in not having it all figured out." For Kunal, the song's origins lie in those 'random, frustrating, funny moments" when nothing seems to go as planned. 'As someone who's always told stories on screen, writing this song was a new kind of expression for me. It's the first time I've translated those everyday struggles and inner chaos into music. I didn't want it to sound overly polished or profound — I just wanted it to feel honest. Loche is a nod to every young person trying to stay on track while life throws them curveballs. If it makes someone smile, laugh, or feel a little less alone in their mess, I think I've done what I set out to do," he added. With Loche, Kunal Kemmu proves he's more than just an actor or a filmmaker — he's a storyteller unafraid to experiment with form. The track carries his signature wit, but beneath the humour lies a relatable truth: life rarely goes according to plan, and that's okay. The song is now streaming across major platforms, inviting listeners to embrace their own 'loche" with a grin. Whether you're stumbling through deadlines, dodging responsibilities, or just figuring out what's next, Kunal's debut track is a reminder that there's joy to be found in the beautifully imperfect journey.
