As you may recall, COVID shut the world down in March 2020.
Schools closed, professional sports seasons ended prematurely and many, many concert tours were cancelled.
One of those tours belonged to David Lee Roth.
To add insult to injury, two days before the novel Coronavirus officially hit North America, Roth wrote 'the tour is really heating up baby' on Instagram.
Now, five long years later, the former Van Halen frontman — who unofficially retired in 2021 — is finally returning to the road.
From July through September, Roth, 70, will hit arenas, theaters, ballrooms, state fairs and wineries all over North America.
That includes stops at Atlantic City's Hard Rock Live on Friday, Aug. 8, Huntington, NY's Paramount Theatre on Sunday, Aug. 10 and Verona, NY's Turning Stone Resort Casino on Friday, Aug. 15.
Prior to his run, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer performed for the first time in five years at Columbia, MD's M3 Rock Festival on May 3. The 16-song set was largely comprised of Van Halen hits, including but not limited to 'Panama,' 'Dance The Night Away,' 'Runnin' With The Devil,' 'Hot For Teacher' and 'Jump.'
According to Loudwire, he was joined by a 'newly expanded backing band' that included 'guitarist Al Estrada, bassist Ryan Wheeler, drummer Francis Valentino…a keyboard player…[and] a four-piece group of backing vocalists.'
Fans can purchase tickets for all upcoming David Lee Roth shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale is Friday, May 9.
Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.
They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Miley Cyrus heckled at NYC Tribeca Film Festival by fans who thought premiere was a concert: ‘We paid $800'
They came in like a wrecking ball. Miley Cyrus, the Disney child star turned pop sensation, was heckled by fans at the world premiere of her 'Something Beautiful' long-form music video screening during the Tribeca Film Festival, footage of the awkward exchange showed. Fans who attended the special screening at The Beacon Theatre were seemingly under the impression that Cyrus would be performing during the event rather than promoting the upcoming film. 4 Miley Cyrus was heckled by fans during the world premiere of her 'Something Beautiful' visual album. Getty Images for Tribeca Festival 'We thought this was a concert, we paid $800,' one person shouted at her during the Q&A segment that took place on stage after the film. 'Are you actually going to sing?' another person questioned. The festival promoted Friday's event as a 'one-of-a-kind pop opera featuring thirteen original new songs from the Something Beautiful album' with 'an exclusive conversation' with the three-time Grammy winner after the 55-minute project aired. However, some fans who purchased their tickets on resale websites accused the third-party ticketing platforms of misleading them. A user on X posted a screenshot from a Google search of the event, which read 'Miley Cyrus Tickets & 2025 Endless Summer Vacation Tour Dates — though the 'Used To Be Young' singer is not on tour and the 'Endless Summer Vacation' record came out in 2023. 'This is the link I clicked on to buy. Says concert tour dates not movie dates,' the fan alleged on X. 4 Some fans thought the event was going to be a live concert. Dia Dipasupil Other fans who allegedly bought resale tickets were stunned that the expensive event wasn't a concert and even left early out of frustration, according to The Hollywood Reporter. 'No one would've spent this much money if we had known,' an attendee told the outlet. 'She doesn't tour, she doesn't play live often.' As of May 27, resale tickets for the Upper Balcony on Vivid Seats started at $510 and became more expensive closer to the stage. The Post reached out to Vivid Seats for comment. 4 Cyrus released her ninth studio album 'Something Beautiful' on May 30. Ouzounova / The 'Flowers' hitmaker eventually gave in to the hecklers' requests and sang her hit 'The Climb' in a cappella fashion. Tickets to see the 'Hannah Montana' alum's visual album and conversation at the 2,600-seat venue were initially sold on Ticketmaster and titled 'Miley Cyrus World Premiere of Something Beautiful.' It was one of the rare opportunities fans had to see the 'Flowers' singer in person. 'I can't. Not only 'can't…' because can't is your capability, but my desire,' Cyrus told British Vogue in June 2023. 'Do I want to live my life for anyone else's pleasure or fulfillment other than my own?' 4 Cyrus started dating boyfriend Maxx Morando in 2021 after they were set up on a blind date. GC Images Cyrus added that she felt disconnected from her fans while on stage. 'Like singing for hundreds of thousands of people isn't really the thing that I love,' Cyrus shared. 'There's no connection. There's no safety.' The 'Party in the USA' singer's last big tour was for 'Bangerz' in 2014. Cyrus performed in over 70 shows on the 'Bangerz' tour and followed that up with her '2015 Milky Milky Milk Tour,' which consisted of only eight shows. On top of feeling 'isolated' while on the road, the 'We Can't Stop' vocalist has a medical issue impacting her performance abilities Cyrus claimed she has Reinke's edema, a disorder she described as an 'abuse of the vocal cords.' 'It's extremely difficult to perform with because it's like running a marathon with ankle weights on,' the star revealed during an interview with Apple Music.

Advertisement Per usual, the 'American Idol' judge delivers fun-loving party anthems, deeply-felt ballads and odes to the genre that made him (we're talking about country music, obviously). Standout tunes here include the evocative, stripped-down 'Pair of Boots,' goofy good time 'But I Got A Beer In My Hand' and slow and steady singalong 'Country On.' And, yes, the title track 'Mind Of A Country Boy' is an absolute blast. Raise a glass and get ready to line dance- this tune is guaranteed to make you move. Natalie Merchant announces 2025 tour, three NY shows. How much are tickets?
Vivid Seats is the New York Post's official ticketing partner. We may receive revenue from this partnership for sharing this content and/or when you make a purchase. Featured pricing is subject to change. Only 10,000 Maniacs could keep us away from this tour. Natalie Merchant just announced she's hitting the road this November for a 15-concert tour that will send her and longtime collaborator Erik Della Penna (who penned the music and lyrics for Broadway's Tony-nominated 'Dead Outlaw') all over the Northeast. While out and about, the duo is slated to make a trio of stops in New York. Advertisement First, they'll headline at Tarrytown's Tarrytown Music Hall on Sunday, Nov. 2. After that, the twosome hit Hudson's Hudson Hall on Saturday, Nov. 15 and NYC's New York Society for Ethical Culture Concert Hall on Monday, Nov. 24. These intimate acoustic shows will be made up of 'songs and stories' according to Merchant's Instagram tour announcement post. 'Erik and I love playing our duo shows,' Merchant said. 'We can be so stealth and spontaneous when it's just the two of us. We read each other so well after all these years.' While we're not sure what songs Merchant will take to the stage at these intimate, acoustic concerts, Set List FM reports that she performed 18 songs at a July 2024 gig in Nashville including her delicious '90s hit 'Kind & Generous.' Advertisement If you'd like to to see her live, tickets are available as of today. At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find for any one show was $131 including fees on Vivid Seats. Other concerts have tickets starting anywhere from $143 to $313 including fees. 'Dead Outlaw' on Broadway Nominated for seven Tonys — including Best New Musical, Best Leading Actor in a Musical for Andrew Durand, Best Featured Actress in a Musical for Julia Knitel and Best Featured Actor in a Musical for Jeb Brown — 'Dead Outlaw' tells the unbelievable true story of Elmer McCurdy, a train robber whose body, after being shot dead in a shootout, was preserved and became a sideshow attraction as a carnival exhibit, a wax museum display, and a movie prop for decades. In the New York Post's review of the show, critic Johnny Oleksinski spotlit the show's score saying the music 'stitches together rockabilly, campfire songs, lounge music and folk into an eerie Americana soundscape that's punchy and unsettling.' If you'd like to see 'Dead Outlaw' at the Longacre Theatre, you can find tickets here. Natalie Merchant set list As noted above, the former 10,000 Maniacs frontwoman headlined at Nashville's Schermerhorn Symphony Center on July 2, 2024. Based on our findings at Set List FM, here's what she performed that evening: Set I Advertisement 01.) 'Lulu' 02.) 'Nursery Rhyme of Innocence and Experience' 03.) 'The Worst Thing' 04.) 'Verdi Cries' (10,000 Maniacs song) 05.) 'Giving Up Everything' 06.) 'Narcissus' 07.) 'Ladybird' 08.) 'Break Your Heart' 09.) 'Big Girls' Set II 10.) 'River' 11.) 'Frozen Charlotte' 12.) 'Spring and Fall: To a Young Child' 13.) 'The Letter' 14.) 'Sister Tilly' 15.) 'Wonder' 16.) 'Come On, Aphrodite' 17.) 'Life Is Sweet' Encore Advertisement 18.) 'Kind & Generous' Natalie Merchant new music In 2023, Merchant released her first album in six years. 'Keep Your Courage,' comprised of ten tracks, demonstrates the singer's evolution as a vocalist. Her voice is deeper, more assured, more contemplative and more mature than ever before. If you're a fan of Merchant's earlier work, this record may seem like a departure but after multiple listens, you'll hear the playful tone and wistful lyrics within the music that make Merchant such a singular artist. Advertisement For our money, we suggest starting with the spellbinding 'Sister Tilly' which surprised us with a tempo change halfway through — it's almost like a singer-songwriter dropping a beat. We're also quite fond of the quietly bombastic 'Hunting The Wren' as well. You can hear the 54-minute record in its entirety here. Female singer-songwriters on tour in 2025 Many world-class singers are out and about on the road this year.
