Delhi BJP announces names of presidents for 14 district units
New Delhi [India], May 26 (ANI): The Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced the names of new presidents of its 14 district units in the national capital on Monday. Delhi BJP president Virendraa Sachdeva congratulated all the newly appointed presidents and expressed hope that the new team will cooperate in expanding the organisation and implementing the government's policies. BJP leader Ajay Khatana has been appointed district president of Keshavpuram, and Arvind Garg has been appointed president of Chandani Chowk. Similarly, BJP leader UK Chaudhary has been appointed district president of North East Delhi, while Master Binod Kumar has been appointed the new president of Naveen Shahdara. According to a release from the Delhi BJP media department, BJP leader Mahendra Nagpal announced Vijendra Dhama as the newly appointed president of Mayur Vihar district, while Deepak Gaba has been named Shahdara district chief. Virendra Babbar has been appointed district president of Karol Bagh, while Ravindra Chaudhary has been appointed district president of New Delhi. Ramchandra Chawariya has been appointed the Outer Delhi district president, while Chandrapal Bakshi has been appointed West Delhi district president. Raj Sharma Gautam has been appointed president of the Najafgarh district, while Ravindra Solanki has been appointed president of the Mehrauli district. Maya Bisht has been named the district president of South Delhi. Earlier in the day, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta asserted that the BJP government is committed to developing the slums in the national capital and assured that no slums in the city will be demolished. Speaking to persons during her visit to a slum, CM Gupta said that the government is building all these facilities, including drains, toilets and parks for slum dwellers. 'I have just come to a slum area where we are laying sewer lines and I want to give a message to all the slum dwellers of Delhi that these people who are in shock that the government has not completed 100 days and so much work is going on continuously are circulating some lists in WhatsApp groups as part of a conspiracy that slums will be demolished. Not even one slum settlement, not even one slum colony of Delhi, will be demolished. We have kept a budget of Rs 700 crores for different kinds of work in the slums. To provide all these facilities like drains, toilets, bathrooms and parks for children, we are investing crores of rupees in every slum area,' CM Gupta said. 'The government is working in the interest of the people and the slum dwellers. Yamuna ji should be cleaned, and we are working on this goal,' she added. The Delhi CM further stated that the government has appointed responsible officers for every waterlogging point in the national capital, and strict actions will be taken if they fail to fulfil their responsibility. "Mann Ki Baat has become 'Jan Ki Baat": BJP Delhi chief Virendraa Sachdeva
New Delhi [India], May 25 (ANI): Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Virendraa Sachdeva on Sunday asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Mann Ki Baat has become 'Jan Ki Baat', saying that the public gets a treasure of knowledge through the monthly radio programme. Speaking to ANI, Sachadeva said, 'Mann Ki Baat is the Prime Minister's programme which has now become 'Jan Ki Baat'... Every time we get to learn new information and new things from this programme of the Prime Minister... This is a programme in which there is a lot to learn... I am very grateful to the Prime Minister for this programme because through this, the entire public gets a treasure of knowledge.' PM Modi, in his 122nd address, highlighted the valour of the armed forces during Operation Sindoor, saying that the whole country is united against terrorism and filled with anger and resolve. He further mentioned the developmental steps in Maoist areas like Chhattisgarh's Bastar and Maharashtra's Gadchiroli areas. He further noted the success of the the Khelo India event organised in Bihar. 'Recently Khelo India Games were a big hit. Five cities of Bihar hosted the Khelo India games. Matches of different categories were held there. Over 5000 athletes from all over India arrived in the state. These athletes have praised the sporting spirit and the warmth shown by the people of Bihar.' Highlighting self-employment, the Prime Minister in his monthly address also highlighted the country's success in honey production. He said that May 20 was celebrated as 'World Bee Day', a day which reminds us that honey is not just sweetness. 'It is also an example of health, self-employment and self-reliance. During the last 11 years, a sweet revolution has taken place in beekeeping in India. 10-11 years ago, honey production in India was around 70-75 thousand metric tonnes in a year.' 'Today it has increased to around 1.25 lakh metric tonnes. That is, there has been an increase of about 60% in honey production. We have become one of the leading countries in the world in honey production and export. Friends, National Beekeeping and 'Honey Mission' have a big role in this positive impact. Under this, thousands of farmers associated with beekeeping were imparted training, equipment and direct access to the market was created,' PM Modi said. The Prime Minister spoke about the efforts of a Pune-based youth Amit who taught himself about bees and gradually formed a team of like minded people, which he named Bee Friends, i.e., 'Bee Mitra'. 'Now these Bee Friends transfer beehives from one place to another in a safe manner so that people are not in danger and the honeybees also stay alive. The effect of this endeavour of Amit ji has also been great. Honeybee colonies are being saved. Honey production is increasing, and most importantly, awareness is also rising among people. This initiative teaches us that when we work in harmony with nature, everyone benefits from it,' he said. Highlighting the bravery of the armed forces during Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the operation has instilled a renewed sense of confidence and determination in the global fight against terrorism. PM Modi said that the country's soldiers had destroyed terror bases and it was their indomitable courage, along with the power of weapons, equipment and technology made in India. He noted that after this campaign, a renewed energy was visible in the whole country regarding 'Vocal for Local'. Some families have taken a pledge, 'We will spend our next vacation in some beautiful place in the country.' Many youngsters have pledged to 'Wed in India'; Someone also said, 'Now every gift we give will be made by an Indian artisan,' PM said. PM Modi applauded the efforts of the ITBP team for successfully scaling Mount Makalu and commended them for their environmental initiative in cleaning the area by removing over 150 kilograms of waste. The Prime Minister also spoke on the the introduction of 'sugar boards' in schools as an innovative initiative to raise awareness among children about their sugar consumption and promote healthier dietary habits. Speaking on the recent success of Khelo India, PM Modi stated that five cities in Bihar had the honour of hosting the events, where matches across various categories were organised. Prime Minister Modi in the 122nd episode of Mann Ki Baat said that 'Along with 'Yoga Day', there has been a significant development in the field of Ayurveda. On May 24, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.' Along with this agreement, work has started on a dedicated traditional medicine module under the International Classification of Health Interventions. This initiative will help in making AYUSH reach a maximum number of people across the world scientifically...' he said. PM Modi also highlighted the growing role of women in agriculture and technology, stating, 'Women in villages are now flying drones as 'Drone Didis', bringing about a new revolution in agriculture.' He cited the example of the Sangareddy district of Telangana where women are completing the work of spraying pesticides on 50 acres of land with the help of drones. He said now these women are not known as 'drone operators' but as 'sky warriors.' PM Modi said in his address that basic facilities have started reaching Maoist violence-affected areas as well. 'People of Katejhari village of the Gadchiroli district in Maharashtra had been waiting for this day for years. A bus could never run here before. Why? It's because this village was affected by Maoist violence. And when the bus reached the village for the first time, people welcomed it by playing the Dhol-Nagara,' PM said. (ANI)

Delhi CM Gupta leads ‘Sindoor Yatra' to honour army, Pahalgam victims
Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta and former Union minister Smriti Irani participated in a 'Sindoor Yatra' organised by the Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party at Connaught Place on Monday, in a show of solidarity with the armed forces and to 'honour the martyrs of Pahalgam'. Gupta described the event as 'far more than just a ceremonial gesture', calling it 'a powerful and heartfelt tribute from the women of the nation to our armed forces.' She said, 'Through Operation Sindoor, India's brave soldiers have valiantly safeguarded the honour and pride of the country's daughters and sisters—an achievement that fills the entire nation with pride. The government and armed forces launched a bold and decisive strike against terrorism in Pakistan, successfully dismantling every terrorist base.' Hundreds of women carrying tricolours took part in the yatra, which wound through central Delhi's Connaught Place amid heavy security, accompanied by patriotic songs like Mera Rang De Basanti Chola and Meri Jaan Tiranga Hai. The event also saw participation from Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva and West Delhi MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat. Irani said Operation Sindoor was more than a campaign—it was a symbol of national pride and resolve. 'It sends a strong message to terrorists that whenever they look toward the women of this country, they will find the entire nation, the government of India, and our armed forces standing in defence of every daughter and mother. Through Operation Sindoor, we salute all women, and especially those mothers whose sons are safeguarding our borders,' she said. Irani added that the nation bows not only to the army but also to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has pledged that India will 'neither bow down nor break.' She said, 'India's army and the nation together have given a strong reply to Pakistan: we will not rest until every terrorist camp is destroyed.'

"Clear message to Pakistan that terror and talks cannot go together": BJP's Virendra Sachdeva hails PM's address
New Delhi [India], May 13 (ANI): Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Virendra Sachdeva hailed Prime Minister Modi's address on Operation Sindoor, saying it sent a strong message to Pakistan that 'terror and talks cannot go together.' Speaking to ANI, Virendraa Sachdeva said that the entire nation is standing with Prime Minister Modi and the armed forces. 'In his address, PM Modi saluted the valour and courage of our armed Modi has given a clear message to Pakistan that terror and talks cannot go together... The entire nation is standing with PM Modi and the armed forces,' the Delhi BJP president said. The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, addressed the nation via videoconference on Monday. In his address, he remarked that the nation has witnessed both India's strength and restraint in recent days. He extended his salute to the country's formidable armed forces, intelligence agencies, and scientists on behalf of every Indian citizen. PM Modi asserted that Pakistan's military and government have continuously nurtured terrorism, warning that such actions will eventually lead to Pakistan's own downfall. He declared that if Pakistan seeks survival, it must dismantle its terror infrastructure--there is no other path to peace. He reaffirmed India's firm stance, stating that terror and talks cannot coexist, terror and trade cannot run parallel, and blood and water cannot flow together. Addressing the global community, he reiterated India's long-standing policy that any discussions with Pakistan will focus solely on terrorism and any negotiations with Pakistan will center around Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK).
