Where LSU football's 2026 recruiting class ranks after latest four-star addition?
LSU picked up a top prospect in its region with four-star offensive tackle Emanuel Tucker, who announced his commitment last week. The top offensive lineman out of Mississippi in 2026, Tucker, adds to the best recruiting class under head coach Brian Kelly. The group ranks atop the SEC and second nationally behind USC, according to On3's Industry Rankings. The Trojans' class contains 28 prospects, which is why they lead the country in the 2026 cycle. Should the Tigers add a few more four or five-star commitments, they could pull ahead once again. LSU has yet to add a quarterback to the group and it's pursuing Bowe Bentley hard. The four-star passer out of Celina, TX ranks No. 7 at his position and listed the Tigers, Oklahoma and Georgia as his top three. He takes official visits to each over the summer. Led by five-star prospects Tristen Keys and Richard Anderson, the Tigers built their 2026 class on keeping the best homegrown talents in the state. Seven of its commits hail from Louisiana, meaning they're less likely to listen to other programs. Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle

Four-Star OL Recruit Commits to LSU
Four-Star OL Recruit Commits to LSU originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers have added another piece to an already impressive 2026 class. Four-star offensive lineman, Emanuel Tucker, announced his commitment to the Tigers on Thursday afternoon. Dale Zanine Tucker is a 6-foot-7, 295-pound offensive tackle from New Albany, Mississippi, and he chose the Tigers over two in state schools: the Ole Miss Rebels and Mississippi State Bulldogs. Tucker was formerly committed to Mississippi State before reopening his recruitment and committing to the Tigers. Advertisement Tucker ranks as the No. 203 overall recruit and No. 16 offensive tackle in the 2026 class according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He becomes the third offensive lineman to commit to the Tigers in 2026, joining four-star offensive tackle, Brysten Martinez, and three-star interior offensive lineman, Jalan Chapman. Tucker made a trip to Baton Rouge this past week where the Tigers seemed to have sealed the deal with the four-star. After the official visit, it seemed LSU were the favorites for his commitment. LSU's 2026 class, which is headlined by five-stars Tristen Keys and Richard Anderson, still ranks second in the country behind the USC Trojans, who have 28 commits to LSU's 10. Both programs have held the top spot at some point in these past few months, and the Tigers are making their case to secure the top spot in the rankings. Nine of LSU's 10 commits rank inside On3's top-300 prospect rankings. Jalan Chapman is the only one outside of the top-300 at this time. LSU Target Decommits From Mississippi State
LSU Target Decommits From Mississippi State originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The LSU Tigers own the No. 2 recruiting class in 2026 and are looking to add quite a few more pieces before it's all said and done. On Monday, they got some good news about one of their top targets. Advertisement Emanuel Tucker, a four-star offensive tackle in the 2026 class, announced he was decomitting from Mississippi State and will be opening his recruitment back up. Mandatory Credit: Denny Medley-USA TODAY SportsDenny Medley-USA TODAY Sports Tucker ranks as a four-star and the No. 203 overall recruit in the 2026 class according to On3's Industry Rankings. The former Mississippi State commit is the No. 16 offensive tackle in the class and would be a massive addition to LSU's offensive line, which only has one tackle at the moment. Tucker's decommitment comes at an opportune time for LSU and other schools trying to secure his commitment. He just visited Ole Miss and will be making his way to Baton Rouge shortly, so they'll have a chance to make a lasting impression on Tucker. Advertisement LSU's 2026 class ranks second behind USC, who currently have 27 commitments. The Tigers are less than .200 points behind the Trojans despite having just nine commitments. The Tigers' 2026 class contains two five-stars (Richard Anderson, Tristen Keys), six four-stars and one three-star. If they can close things out with Tucker, they'll inch even closer to Lincoln Riley's class. With some new NIL dollars and an elite recruiting staff, LSU is going to be a threat to sign the No. 1 class pretty much every year. They lock down the state of Louisiana and aren't afraid to go out of state to get a guy they really like. We'll have see if Brad Davis and Brian Kelly can get things done with Tucker, but it would be a big get for their 2026 class if they can.
