Where LSU football's 2026 recruiting class ranks after latest four-star addition?
The top offensive lineman out of Mississippi in 2026, Tucker, adds to the best recruiting class under head coach Brian Kelly. The group ranks atop the SEC and second nationally behind USC, according to On3's Industry Rankings.
The Trojans' class contains 28 prospects, which is why they lead the country in the 2026 cycle. Should the Tigers add a few more four or five-star commitments, they could pull ahead once again.
LSU has yet to add a quarterback to the group and it's pursuing Bowe Bentley hard. The four-star passer out of Celina, TX ranks No. 7 at his position and listed the Tigers, Oklahoma and Georgia as his top three. He takes official visits to each over the summer.
Led by five-star prospects Tristen Keys and Richard Anderson, the Tigers built their 2026 class on keeping the best homegrown talents in the state. Seven of its commits hail from Louisiana, meaning they're less likely to listen to other programs.

Auburn basketball locks in visit with four-star wing Alex Egbuonu
Auburn basketball is working to fill out its 2026 class, and one of its major targets has locked in a visit for November. Alex Egbuonu, a four-star wing from Groton, Massachusetts, has revealed his official visit schedule for the fall. The talented forward will visit Auburn during the weekend of Nov. 1-3, concluding his string of visits that includes Boston College, Georgetown, Florida State, Stanford, and Providence. In an interview with Dushawn London of 247Sports, Egbuonu outlined his recruitment and commitment timeline, as well as what he is looking for in a college home. "The decision will probably come sometime after Christmas," Egbuonu said. "It'll come down to development, relationships with the coaches, and just knowing who I'm going to be with for the season and making sure it's right for me and my family." Bruce Pearl and the Tigers are in a great spot to land Egbuonu, according to Rivals. Rivals gives Auburn a 14.5% chance to land the small forward from Massachusetts, behind Marquette and Xavier. What helps Auburn in this case is that Egbuonu has not scheduled an official visit to Xavier and has already visited Auburn once, unofficially. The 6-6 forward is "built like a football player with a super-powerful upper body, long arms, and good hands according to a scouting report from 247Sports' Adam Finkelstein. Expect Auburn to continue working to sign Egbuonu to be a part of what could be a great signing class for Auburn in 2026. Pearl and the Tigers are also pursuing top talent such as guards Neiko Munday and Colben Landrew, as well as forward Jalan Wingfield. Flau'jae Johnson meet NASCAR. The honor the Savannah native will get Saturday at Daytona
Women's basketball player. Rapper. Fashion icon. NASCAR fan? Savannah native Flau'Jae Johnson has the first three checked off, and on Saturday she will be a part of one of NASCAR's biggest events when she is the honorary starter at Daytona International Speedway for the Coke Zero Sugar 400. The honorary starter is invited by NASCAR to give the command to start engines ("Drivers start your engines") and sometimes wave the green flag in the stand to start the race. Who is Flau'Jae Johnson? Johnson enters her senior year as a basketball player at LSU, but her talents lie far beyond the sport. Savannah's own has diversified her range, getting into music, fashion and as a social media influencer, drawing more than $4 million in Name, Image, Likeness deals from the likes of Puma, Amazon and Powerade, according to Sports Illustrated. She has collaborated with Lil Wayne, and dropped a line about WNBA star Caitlin Clark, a rival when the two faced off in college, in her song 'Help Me.' Johnson on Thursday released a new single, Flau & B - LIVE from Malibu, to her YouTube page. She also received a Golden Buzzer on America's Got Talent at just 14 years old. While she calls Savannah home, Johnson was a McDonald's All-American recruit at Sprayberry High School in Marietta, where she became the school's all-time leading scorer. The daughter of the late Savannah rapper Camoflauge, Flau'jae has become a star on the basketball court with LSU and as an up-and-coming musical artist herself with hits such as "Can't Get Enough," "Guns Down," and "Came Out a Beast." She was named the SEC's Freshman of the Year for the LSU squad that won a national title in 2023. Last season, as a junior, the 5-foot-10 guard averaged 18.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists to earn third-team All-American honors from the Associated Press. Many thought she might declare for the WNBA Draft, but Johnson decided to come back to play her senior season with the Tigers. Flau'Jae Johnson gives back to Savannah In July, Johnson returned to Savannah for her third annual Back-to-School giveback event. More than 2,500 people showed up to Enmarket Arena in Savannah to receive free back packs, shoes, school supplies and ear phones in an event put on by the More to 4, the Flau'jae Johnson Foundation. What does Daytona mean for NASCAR? Playoff picture While Daytona is NASCAR's most famous track, this week's race is a little different than the 'Super bowl' event that opens the circuit's season. The season-opening Daytona 500 is the sport's biggest event while this week's race will be 100 miles shorter. The race is the final race before the NASCAR playoffs begin, meaning it will determine the final few positions remaining for a 16-driver playoff field. Fourteen drivers clinched playoff seeds by NASCAR's rule of 'win and you're in', leaving two positions up for grabs based on points. That is, unless there's a new winner this week who is below the playoff bubble. At a track as unpredictable and fickle as Daytona, where accidents sometimes collect 20-plus cars or more, it's a nerve-wracking final race before the playoffs.
