NIA has also named Brar's close aide and US-based gangster Randeep Singh alias Malik, who was also involved in the case of murder of businessman Nadir Shah in south Delhi last year. Barring Brar and Malik, all others have been arrested in the case, NIA said. Last December, two low-intensity explosions were reported outside restobars in Sector 29. There were no casualties in the incident. A scooter was charred and a bar's signboard was damaged in the detonation, which was carried out at 5.15am. Taliyan was found in an inebriated state. He planned to throw more 'sutli bombs' two more but was nabbed by police. Brar had gone to Canada on a student visa in 2017 and got involved in the gang's operation. After his cousin Gurlal was killed outside a nightclub in Chandigarh in 2020, he rose through the ranks due to his proximity with Lawrence Bishnoi and began targeting his rivals aggressively. Brar, who is accused of orchestrating the killing of Punjabi pop singer Sidhu Moosewala in 2022, remained in Canada till 2023 but then fled to America. Sources said that he used a fake identity to enter the US territory that year as the Canadian Police escalated its crackdown on Indian gangs and Brar feared retaliation from his rivals. Last year in June, the NIA had announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for Brar and his associate Gurpreet Rajpura in the case of extortion and firing at the house of a businessman in Chandigarh.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the NIA said that it has 'charged Canada based Satinderjit Singh @ Goldy Brar, along with Sachin Taliyan, Ankit, Bhawish and US based Randeep Singh @ Randeep Malik, under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Arms Act, Explosives Substance Act, and UA (P) Act. Barring Goldy Brar and Randeep Malik, all others have been arrested in the case.' The NIA added that it had 'found the accused to be involved in conspiracy to target Warehouse Club and Human Club in Sector 29, Gurugram with bombs, as part of the Babbar Khalistani International (BKI) larger conspiracy to spread communal disharmony and disrupt peace in the state of Haryana and neighbouring regions by unleashing violence. The attack, perpetrated by members and cadres of the proscribed BKI terror outfit, took place on December 10, 2024. NIA investigations later revealed that the deep-rooted terror conspiracy was hatched by Goldy Brar and his associates.' New Delhi: Canada-based terrorist Goldy Brar and four others were named in a chargesheet filed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in a Special Court over twin grenade attacks on clubs in Gurugram last year, an official said on Saturday. The NIA has charged Satinderjit Singh alias Goldy Brar, along with Sachin Taliyan, Ankit, Bhawish and US-based Randeep Singh alias Randeep Malik, under various Sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Arms Act, Explosives Substance Act, and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Barring Brar and Malik, all others have been arrested in the case, the NIA said. Brar is wanted in India for more than three dozen cases, including the killing of singer Sidhu Moosewala. The anti-terror agency's investigations into the twin grenade attacks found that the accused were involved in the conspiracy to target Warehouse Club and Human Club in Sector-29, Gurugram with bombs. The bomb attacks on the clubs were part of the Babbar Khalsa International's (BKI) larger conspiracy to spread communal disharmony and disrupt peace in Haryana and neighbouring regions by unleashing violence. In April, the NIA searched multiple locations, linked with Goldy Brar, across the northern states of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. The teams conducted searches at the premises belonging to suspects and accused associated with Goldy Brar and US-based gangster Randeep Malik in the case RC- 01/2025/NIA/DLI. Several electronic and other incriminating materials were recovered during the searches conducted at eight locations in various districts of the two states. Soon after the grenade attack, gangster Rohit Godara had taken responsibility through a social media post. Subsequent investigations by the NIA had exposed Malik and Brar, who had earlier threatened and attempted to extort money from the club owners, to have masterminded the grenade attacks.

Arrested explosives godown owner quizzed for 2nd day
Rourkela: Interrogation of the owner of an explosives godown, Shravan Agrawal, who was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly violating standard operating procedures, continued for the second day at Raghunathpalli police station here on Friday. Agrawal and his driver, Birsa Samad alias Ishak, were arrested for allegedly violating SOPs related to explosives materials. The arrests followed after Maoists looted 5,000 kg of explosives from Banko stone quarry in Sundargarh district on May 27. The police crackdown intensified after explosives were discovered in a truck near a petrol pump on June 1, followed by the seizure of another truck with illegal explosives on June 3. Both the accused have been charged under various sections of BNS and Explosives Substance Act. Investigation revealed Agrawal owns four warehouses in Bargaon, Sundargarh, with two registered in his wife Nikita's name. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is also probing the Maoist explosives loot. The SIT, led by additional SP H K Majhi, has sealed all four warehouses after stock verification. Agrawal was brought on a two-day remand to verify tax documents from explosives unit in Maharashtra and Telangana. Sales tax authorities also examined the papers on Friday. Nikita will also be questioned. "Our investigation is progressing," said Majhi. Deputy director of mines (Rourkela), Bimbadhar Sethi, has been asked to submit documents regarding permissions granted to the stone quarry for blasting. Around 3.8 tonnes of the looted explosives have been recovered, with joint search operations ongoing to trace the remaining cosnignment.
