Here's what to know if your car has an open recall. Ford Motor Company recently issued multiple recalls, affecting over 42,000 vehicles, for issues that can potentially increase the risk of fires and crashes, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The NHTSA lists the recalls, which the Dearborn, Michigan-headquartered automaker reported to the federal government agency on May 27. Affected vehicles include various SUV models, such as some Broncos, F-150s and Escapes. Here are the reasons behind the recalls, the affected models and the provided remedies from Ford. Check car recalls here: Ford, Volkswagen, Ram among recent vehicles recalled Ford recalling some Nautilus vehicles Ford recalled 30,679 2024 Nautilus vehicles, the NHTSA said on May 27. According to the federal agency, the multimedia module software on the affected cars may cause the panoramic and center displays to reboot, resulting in a blank screen and a subsequent loss of view of the speedometer and warning lights, thus increasing the risk of a crash, NHTSA reported. A missing rearview camera can reduce visibility of what is behind a vehicle, which also increases the risk of a crash. The software will be updated by a dealer or through an over-the-air update, which will be free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on June 16. The recall number is 25C21. Ford recalling some F-150 vehicles Ford recalled 192 2022 F-150 Lightning BEV vehicles equipped with 20-inch or 22-inch all-season tires that were repaired incorrectly under recall 22V-453. The tire pressure monitoring system light may not illuminate, failing to warn the driver of low tire pressure, which increases the risk of a crash. Dealers will update the vehicle's software and fix the issue free of charge, the NHTSA said. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on June 23. Ford's number for this recall is 25C20. Ford recalls over 1M vehicles: See affected models with camera issues 4 Ford SUV models recalled due to fire risk Ford recalled 6,781 vehicles due to the possibility that their engines may overheat and catch fire when the cars are parked with their block heater plugged in, NHTSA reported. The NTHSB reported that the engine block heater may overheat when the car is parked with the block heater plugged in. Dealers will replace the engine block heater element and inspect the electrical cord free of charge, or replace it if necessary. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on June 6. Ford's number for this recall is 25S52. Ford recalls some newer model Transit, Explorer and F-150 vehicles Ford recalled 154 Transit, F-150 and Explorer vehicles due to a damaged engine that could result in engine failure and a crash. The three affected models are 2025. "The connecting rod and rod bearing components may have manufacturing defects that can lead to engine damage and engine failure," the NTHSB said. The remedy is under development, according to the NTHSB. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on June 9. Ford's number for this recall is 25S55. Ford recalls 3 SUV models due to possible engine failure Ford recalled 1,797 of its SUV models due to possible engine failure, which may increase the risk of fire and injury. In the event of an engine failure, engine oil and fuel vapor can be released into the engine and accumulate near ignition sources, including a hot engine or exhaust components, according to the NHTSB. Vehicles affected in this recall are: 2020-2023 Escape 2021-2023 Corsair 2022-2023 Maverick. The vehicles are equipped with 2.5L HEV or PHEV engines repaired incorrectly under recall 23V380. Ford issues recall of more than 1 million vehicles

DEARBORN, Mich. (WSAV) — Ford Motor company is recalling over 1 million vehicles due to a software error effecting the rearview camera. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the issue could cause the rearview camera image to delay, freeze or not display, reducing drivers' views behind the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash. The recall affects a variety of vehicles made between 2021 and 2024, including Ford Broncos, F-150s, Mustangs and Lincoln Navigators. The NHTSA said dealers are expecte4d to update the accessory protocol interface module (APIM) software through an over-the-air update, free of charge. Letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed by June 16 followed by a second letter once the remedy is available. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Mike Tomlin gives hilarious compliment of Yahya Black: 'There's F-150s — he's an F-350'

Mike Tomlin gives hilarious compliment of Yahya Black: 'There's F-150s — he's an F-350' The theme of the Steelers' 2025 NFL Draft was clear as Day 3 concluded — defense, defense, and more defense, with a specific emphasis on stopping the run. One of the fantastic run defenders drafted in the sixth round by the Steelers is none other than 6'6", 336-pound Iowa DT Yahya Black. At the Steelers' Post-Draft Press Conference, Mike Tomlin used a hilarious comparison to describe how Black fits into Pittsburgh's defense: "Like I've been saying throughout the draft process — he's a big chassis. There's F-150s. He's an F-350. He's a big man and is really stout against the run. You can always use a skill set like that, certainly." When it comes to being a defensive lineman, there's arguably no better compliment than being compared to the size and strength of a Ford F-350. The Steelers brought Black in for a pre-draft top-30 visit — and they couldn't pass up the opportunity to bring his talents to the Steel City with the 164th overall pick.

The 148,000 Ford vehicles that have been recalled across the US

Ford is recalling more than 148,000 vehicles in the US due to two separate issues. Approximately 123,611 of the 2017-18 F-150s, Expedition and Lincoln Navigators are being recalled due to a brake fluid leak that could reduce braking performance. Dealers will replace the affected brake components free of charge. An additional 24,655 of the 2025 Ford Explorers are being recalled due to a powertrain control module issue that could cause engine stalls or parking system malfunctions. Dealers will fix the software issue free of charge, and owner notifications will be sent by May 26.

Ford Stock (NYSE:F) Gains Despite Hit to Missouri Corn Farms

Those not familiar with other aspects of the green energy movement may not be familiar with ethanol, a combustible fuel made from, among other things, corn. But legacy automaker Ford (F) seems to be getting away from ethanol and going to electric instead, a move that is leaving Missouri's corn farmers in the lurch. Investors, meanwhile, seemed to give little heed to this notion, and sent shares up nearly 2% in Friday afternoon's trading. Filter, analyze, and streamline your search for investment opportunities using Tipranks' Stock Screener. Recently, Ford stopped offering the 'flex fuel' option in the F-150 pickup, a move that left ethanol producers—and the corn farmers that produced the corn that became ethanol—stymied. Since the F-150 was the leading truck option in the United States, the end result meant a lot of flex fuel that was no longer being used. Instead, Ford is pursuing electric vehicles in a bid to improve overall fuel efficiency figures as well as provide the 'greener' alternatives that some customers want. This in turn is leaving Ford in somewhat of an odd spot: large numbers of people who would have bought F-150s are now largely out in the cold, if they want one with a flex fuel option that uses the material they grow and process for that fuel. So, now, it becomes a matter of how many F-150 sales will Ford lose because ethanol fueling is no longer an option? No More Boring Cars Continues We know that Ford has been actively working to get past the 'boring cars' concept, and has embracing off-road and other such cars in the process. Reports suggest the latest Bronco is getting a bit of an upgrade in that regard, with a new Sasquatch package that adds a range of useful features from improved suspension to skid plates, and even knobby tires. Finally, Ford won a bit of a victory overseas, as Ford delivered big van sales for March 2025 in the United Kingdom. Normally, the Transit is the third-best seller, behind its smaller equivalent the Transit Custom and the Vauxhall Vivaro. But in March's figures, Ford managed to dominate the whole top three in light commercial vehicles, with the Transit in third, the Ford Ranger in second, and the Transit Custom on top.
