Around the Horn's 5 all-time winningest panelists as ESPN show bids farewell After 23 years on ESPN of points, mutes, Face Times, and chalkboard phrases, Around the Horn is going off the air after their finale on Friday. It's the end of an era for an all-time great sports-and-beyond debate show, even though it may end with us never knowing how the scoring truly works in the head of host Tony Reali -- not that it matters! Part of the fun and mystique of the show is points are given and taken away! It was during that time that Max and I became constants. From basements to whispery FaceTimes to lavish fashion week parties, and now, here at the Met. Our friendship has always been about reverence—his for poetry through design, mine for presence, and a shared language of beauty, discipline, and play. This is my sixth Met Gala. Each one carries its own weather system, its own myth. Working with my beloved stylist Carlos Nazario, we have learned to shape narrative through dress; through silhouette, through fabric, through tension and restraint. When working with my dear friend Fara Homidi for the beauty look, we leaned into balance. Fresh, bouncy, honest skin and a strange but sophisticated almost powdery red lip, that needed not to match the dress. My hair, done by the angelic Joey George, was a literal twist on the French twist but done in an almost alien-like shape that replicated a seam, a nod to the theme. To the world, he is a poet, a designer, a thinker, but to me, he is elegance among chaos. He is restraint as resistance. He is the embodiment of Black dandyism, not as aesthetic but as inheritance, as strategy, as declaration. Black dandyism is not about assimilation. It is about subversion. It takes the tropes of thinness, whiteness, and wealth, and rejects them. It is precision. It is defiance wrapped in silk.

Is Skype shutting down?Yes. After two decades of pixelated faces, frozen calls, 'Can you hear me now?' moments and the iconic ringtone, Skype is logging off from tomorrow, May 5. Why now? Wasn't Skype 'the thing'? In short – MS Teams happened. Microsoft has been gently nudging users from Skype to Microsoft Teams. Let's be honest, Skype has been lagging, especially with GenZ and their FaceTimes, Zooms, and IG Lives. But yes, for a whole generation, Skype was internet's first awkward attempt at long-distance intimacy – cousins in the US or Britain showing us snow over choppy video; long-distance couples crying pixelated tears…. But what happens to my Skype account now? If you are still clinging to that Skype ID from 2008, don't panic. Microsoft says you can migrate your chats and contacts to Teams. But you won't be able to sign in to Skype or download it after May Skype be remembered fondly or be a tech fossil?Bit of both. But it was revolutionary. Skype taught us to video call before it was cool (and before it was mandatory during pandemics). But it didn't keep up with the times. So, what are my options now? Many.
